@@TheRealMaruki I didn't really like Daybreak's op. I thought it was too mellow and lacked intensity whereas Cold Steel III and IV both have far more intensity than it. They however did a lot better job with Crimson Sin II especially with the soundtrack as Daybreak's soundtrack is one of the worst ones I've heard in the entire series. I prefer more metalish soundtracks and I didn't find a lot of those in Daybreak. Mostly just soft rock ones and some jazzy ones to spice up the mood. Personally, I just felt the mellow nature of the tracks were just out of place for a Trails game. Despite having one of the weakest soundtracks in the entire series, Cold Steel III does have one of the best op themes in the entire series. To be brutally honest though the new composer is nowhere near the level of the previous one where the tracks had more intensity and more of a metalish feel to them like that of an Atelier game.
Anchor in the Dark being the Mikurau Hebi theme, means that man with the hat is indeed the 1st Anguis that showed in 3rd, Ao and CS4, huh? Mikurau Hebi going for a ride It seems... ('-'

God all of these OST and screenshots have me so hyped for this game when I haven't even played Daybreak 2 yet. Seeing all of the characters together and especially Cold Steel characters (personal favorite part of the series) makes me tear up a bit. A bit on the fence with the opening but once I listen to it more and see the animations that accompany it when the actual opening is showed I feel like I will like it more.
@@Zephyroths whatever. Trails through daybreak is the English title in the West for the 1 game . I just do research, not work in video game development 😕
The opening sounds so bad at first, but reminiscing back all the journey we’ve been through with trails series towards kai its actually not that bad at all...
I don't really feel the new opening at all honestly, just not my style i guess, seems like Namonaki Akumu No Hate will still be my favorite opening for the Calvard arc. In other hand i can't get enough of the 5th track (definitly what was needed for Tharbad), Battle Junction -1209- feels a bit déjà vu (or should i say "dejà entendu" XD) but i love it, i really hope it will be the main battle theme for Kai.
I'm not really impressed with the last batch of op from the series after Reverie. This one is even worse than the one from Daybreak. What happened to the bangers? This sounds like it would be better in a Japanese anime rather than a Falcom game. Once again Falcom does it right and then gets it wrong yet again. Disappointing considering Crimson II was a major upgrade from Daybreak. I just hope the bgms aren't as weak as this opening is. Ashita e no Kiseki yes which is one of the best op song in the entire series. It's akin to old 80's heavy metal. Hard to say whether I would choose Cold Steel III or IV's op song. That's a hard choice.
@@nephenthal7275 This is probably the worst Trails opening since Sky FC. And yeah, I do like CS3's opening more than CS4's, but Ashita e no Kiseki is objectively the "better" song.
@@TheRealMaruki Well, it's true that the opening, itself, in IV was as generic as a 90's J-RPG of the past. As for the song, itself, it's on par with the ones from I, II and III and Reverie keeps the consistency going. Well, hopefully the rest of the soundtrack will sound good since I do like that battle theme sample. Sounds along the roots of the old Crossbell games like Azure and Zero. Still this new composer is NOWHERE near the level of the old one. Also hopefully it improves on originality which Crimson Sin II lacked in places and something that Daybreak seriously lacked. I don't need Kaito Kid clones in a game. If no one saw this one in Daybreak then they've never watched Detective Conan before. I also don't need games ripping off designs of anime like Irregular at Magic High School. Look at Lenna's Parade form in that anime and you'll see where Judith's Phantom Thief design was inspired by. I am very critical about idea theft and I have little tolerance for it. The only Phantom Thief we need is Bleublanc.

wtf is this OP? Sounds like a complete garbage and somehow makes Sasaki's singing even more annoying than usual. Other than that Jindo and Koguchi tracks are great.
Sometimes first impression can be misleading, at first I thought I would not like the OP music, but after listening to it several times and trying to picture it in my head with some made up scenes, I started to realize that it could be a good OP. for me it's actually very catchy and great, my favorite so far. Either all of that or it's just not your cup of tea, calling it garbage is just unfair.
@@Kizuto_ nah, that viloin mixed with Sasaki's singing really hurts my ears. It's also not kind of OP I thought falcom would go for considering it's an epic finale to the Calvard arc. ayo we finally getting shizuna and rean duel???
As soon as Rean was confirmed, was there even any doubt they would have a rematch?
Track 7 already made me emotional ahah. It give me some Ultimate Vessel song vibe from Xenoblade 3.
Anchor in the dark absolutely fire
Nice 👍 good vibrations 😌

Most likely it will be like Reverie/Daybreak 2
Track 6 and 7 are banger
Why is Koguchi so peak?
Track 2 is my favorite ❤
