The first narrator being Ruin is peculiar if you consider that he technically represents the beginning of the story (Sun and Moon being together.)
And solar being the one to tell us about eclipse because as we know solar, although he’s nice was formed in the same way, eclipses are

I mean, sure they were sorta a prick before who only really seemed to care about getting money. But they still cared about Sun and Moon. And they’ve also changed. They’ve had a lot of character development. I think Lunar helped with that tbh. Opened up a lot more with the little fellow around. I mean, that’s two people who have literally said “Thanks to Monty” so far.
8:44 I feel like they’re missing some parts of the story, or going back to fill some things up. Also forgot to mention how Sun kinda killed BloodMoon I believe, but like can’t really blame them because the amount of lore this show has is sorta crazy.

Love how Solar explained how Eclipse came to be as well, seen as he technically is Eclipse. Wondering how they fit all of this lore into 20 minutes though, I mean I know they missed a few parts but pretty incredible how well they managed to summarise the whole story though. THIS NEEDS TO BE MORE THAN 20 MINUTES-
I love how it's Sun, Moon, and the others explaining it rather than a boring normal narrator voice.
Those boring narrator voices in films are one of the things that make me click off then come back later. I do it with these vids too but mainly because i watch some other things as well but i do finish the videos.
Im glad theyre recognising their mistakes. It shows that theyre getting more mature and realising that they were wrong with some things.
Tbh I could listen to them narrate things for hours. Especially Ruin and Solar. Ruin’s voice is entertaining, and sounds very designed for storytelling. Solar’s voice is very calm and soothing.
This has been one hell of a year. Here's to the next one!!

Like Eclipse's origins video. We as the viewer have seen it, but does it exist in the SAMS universe? It's a little confusing.
I love how clever they were as well to use solar to explain eclipse one being a good version of him and two, although he is a good version, he formed in the exact same way our eclipse did We also need to think this may have been a 20 minute long video, but who knows how long it took for them to make it going through all the videos finding the clips they needed switching the characters.

278 episodes (or almost all) summarized in 20 minutes, friend, this felt like the best movie of my life. When Sun talked about "the old moon" I seriously felt his pain and saying that he feels guilty for the death of "the old moon" makes me so sad, that even if they tell him it wasn't his fault he still feels that way and I really want this year to help Sun with his traumas a little more..........before he reaches his breaking point and there is no longer any possibility of help you

The Sun and Moon Show has been the most wonderful CZcams channel I've ever seen for me, because It has SO much LORE, so I think that they really, REALLY, REALLY deserve MILLIONS of subscribers, the fact that they have really good characters and actors so yeah they deserve that I guess 💖!
Why can I like close my eyes and imagine this as a legitimate storybook w/ pictures, much like a fairy tale because Sun and Moon always gave me sort of the vibe of fairytale characters. I’ve been watching this since 2022 and I am amazed to see how much these characters have gone through and how much their voice actors have improved!
I feel bad for sun. He had a mental break And didn’t relieve and try to help him instead, he trapped him, making his meltdown worse
The show has been through so much I know they may not see this but thanks for making this an amazing year. Can’t wait for next year to see how this goes. ❤

Being someone that has been with you guys the whole time, this just really shows how much can happen in like two years. Watching this also made me really angry it made me cry and it also made me happy. A lot has happened here and it's just so special to go over it again. I surprisingly miss Killcode and i do really miss the original Moon, nun the less... HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!

Your show inspired me so much every single day. Thank you for this lore episode. At some point I had lost my phone and wasn’t able to watch your show. I remember always stealing my siblings phones just to try and catch up to watch your episodes, and even if I was doing something, I would stop everything if I saw a notification from your channel and watch the video you posted, liking and commenting on every video. Sadly at one point I stopped watching the episodes because I got too busy, and I’m really sorry for that. I’m back on board to the show now though and I’m extremely happy. All of you guys are so so amazing and I’m so happy that I was able to watch this video and a recap of the lore. Happy new year to your family, and I’m glad to be one of the many fans that was with you since mostly the beginning. Now, back to the video!

I like that if you watched the hole series from the ground up you'd know the small retcons like they say the first instance of sun blacking out was months after they separated but originally it was the day after.
I thought that 200+ videos and 2 years would be a longer video but I’m surprised that they were able to fit it all in a 20 min video

Ooooo this was such a good idea! Having a nice, relatively concise summary of the lore is so helpful. I love how they handled the narration! I also love that Ruin - being probably the most theater kid of them all - is the narrator for a number of the interim/outside narrative bits. And kudos to Solar for narrating the Eclipse bits, lol.

As someone who’s been watching the sun and moon show from the very beginning I think this is going to be very useful for people trying to get into or start watching the sun and moon show.
When I try introduce the S.A.M.S to people normal I have to explain the hole lore to them which gets very complicated so this is going to be very VERY helpful for me 😅

I had a thought-remember when Sun expelled Eclipse from his head? What if that small chance of him ending up broken in a forest somewhere actually happened, and the Eclipse that we had been dealing with since that was just a back up that the original Eclipse created. One without empathy. Think about it-the original Eclipse had started to care for Lunar, even if he didn’t want to, so it might make sense if he got rid of his empathy in his backups. This could mean that the Eclipse from the balcony was the one with empathy, which could prove to be interesting given what the backup did.

Yknow when it came to the part of OG moon dying…you can hear it in suns voice how much he wishes he didn’t get distracted by bloodmoon. His voice is kinda breaking down.
Interesting to see a synopsis done this way. It really highlights what parts of the story each of them finds most important, dislikes, or outright forgot over the channel's history. Like that argument between Sun and Moon over how important the magic thing was. And them totally forgetting that Glamrock Freddy also helped with Sun and Moon's initial separation.
Also it is just hilarious to me seeing Ruin narrating so much of what happened in year one, considering he wasnt around for any of that.
