And you're absolutely right, Kihyun has such a voice for rock...you must listen to his Imagine Dragons covers that he blessed us with during the early parts of COVID...it was such a gift.
And yeah...we do love the talent, and these men are all wonderfully talented and work so hard for us. It's nice to see you getting more Shownu content because, as you rightly commented, his vibe, his presence - it's really important. He's such a calm, thoughtful and caring leader and he brings quite a different energy. 😁

Since you havent done Reason album recording, just a heads up, when u get to it, you can see how they have tremendously improved since Gambler recording. They basically skyrocket these few years. Its really amazing to see how their music, style & skills mature and evolve.

Hi! I'm 50, and I enjoy listening to rock, jazz, blues, and classical music. I also used to play the violin for almost 7 years, so I think I have some rights to say that I love music. I attended a lot of concerts of classic rock bands and musicians like Deep Purple, Gan’s and Roses, Eric Clapton, John McLaughlin, Carlos Santana, Jeff Back, Al Di Meola,Sting, soooo so many musicians, but now I’m obsessed with this guys, I love them like so much, I attended their concert in LA in 2022!They are amazing! Just incredible! I have weakness for Kihyun voice, my Kiki❤❤❤ I am proud MONMAMMA since 2017, from Beautiful era!!!

Ahhh yes…the jacket….you might have seen it in the Middle of the night video….this was also the round the time that Shownu could not promote with them because if his retina detachment. He recorded his parts but was unable to perform or promote with them

They're all truly such great singers. I love Shownus voice because its so smooth and he's covered ne-yo's songs and his voice suits the rnb style so well. And Kihyun is known for being a great singer and he still goes to singing classes because he always likes to improve and I admire that so much. Like this man is beyond good.
Ooooh yes, I'm addicted to these recordings videos! I've watched them all multiple times and keep coming back to them. I love Kihyuns rock covers! He's done covers of a couple of Imagine Dragon songs and did a live stage of "Bad" by Christopher, which I had actually never heard of before he covered it and his voice sounds SO GOOD. even better than the original! I've always thought he'd sound so good if he covered a Bon Jovi song. Bon Jovi's so hard to cover but his voice would be perfect!

It blows my mind how well his voice suits literally every genre. He does really well with like jazz and scatting, rock, pop, oldies style....he's done a partial cover of Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus that reshaped how I viewed that song lol. I feel like every time I hear Kihyun cover a song, I like his version better than the original! Definitely not fair to be so talented but he really is amazing.
Your Dad would even approve of Kihyun's "Believer" and "Natural" covers. Jooheon has a song called "Smoky" where he talks about his journey through anxiety/depression and there are parts where he sounds like Jon Bon Jovi. It's my favorite song of his, but I always need a tissue for it.

OMG...you hit the nail right on the head when you said Kihyun's voice has a rock edge to it. I listen to metal as well as kpop. I shocked the crap out of everyone when I just started listening to kpop one day 8 years ago. 🤣 But Kihyun was my ultimate bias forever and I just realized why....the rock edge in his voice. Thank you for the epiphany. LOL

seeing the reactions to recording sessions from the reactors recently got me thinking about Comeback shows and showcases. I personally love to watch them because we get details about the songs in the album, process of writing, shooting, concept, behind the scene episodes, updates on the life and members dynamics and new funny moments with the new comeback era. I would love to see a reaction video for one of them, BUT also realistically it's not very reaction suitable content: it's long (for hour and more), might be hard to find with subs, not that popular and there are tons of other contents out there including shows and etc. So at least I might recommend you to watch them on your own time, if you would want something ^^
Also for latest comeback we got the choreography behind video along with the song recordings. It was fun to see the process of how they learn the dance, practice and etc.

Hi! loved this. I'm a metal head just like your dad (I feel so old now) and you are bang on, Kihyun's voice is definitely made for the Rock genre in general. I'm sometimes amazed at how people who don't know much about singing, seem to be ignorant to the fact that some of the best vocalists to ever exist are Heavy metal/Rock singers. The genre is very unforgiving for singers; if you wanna be good, you gotta have range, technique and power, otherwise you'll sound like crap and ruin your voice,
Please react to some of Monsta X's Self Cam Music Video's. They are B sides that are so good and the videos are them just being adorable idiots while lip syncing to the songs. They are so fun. The best ones are "Unfair Love", "Special" (which are my favorite Monsta X hype songs), "Breathe for You", "Back to You", "Love U".....there's more but I think these are my favs. You'll love them. ❤
So today I was randomly reminded of 3 MX songs that you should DEFINTELY hear. On their Japanese album Phenomenon there were 3 hidden tracks(one on each album version) and each was produced by one of the members. Champagne(IM), Thriller(Jooheon), and Polaroid(Wonho). There are only lyric videos, no mvs but these songs will take you on another ride they are so so good. Loving your channel and welcome to Monbebeland!❤
After watching your last several reactions, I had to go back and rewatched “No Mercy” the reality survival program developed by starship that listed 13 trainees competing against each other that eventually made the group Monsta X. The beginning of the incredible relationship this group has and what they fought hard for. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend❤️ from then till now, the hard work these 7 talented men (I ALWAYS include Wonho🐰) have grown so much! Joohoney especially with his producing bangers like this one! PS…I can’t wait for you to PLEASE check out Wonho’s solo work😊😊 in my heart he will always be MonstaX. I always enjoy your reactions!

Also fun note we kinda have Minhyuk in part to thank for Gambler too, originally a different song was proposed to be the title track but he…really did not like it haha. I don’t know if anyone did, but Min straight up told the vice president he didn’t know what they were thinking and that they should consider Jooheon’s song. Later it was voted on and chosen! He talked about it on radio I will try to find it

Itś very interesting to think that Monsta X in essence, was created for Jooheon because he was THE standout trainee from No.mercy, to this mastermind that best suited in tailoring mx's more mature and polished sound. They definitely evolved and harnessed their different skills throughout the years to an unbeatable group of idols, even the weaker vocalists carry their weights, if not involved in writing, producing and variety shows.
This may seem random, but you should check out the Fighter part switch recording. It’s a whole lot of funny and always makes me smile.
first time hearing the song, i hung on the 0 0 lucky bang part and i thought, isn't that a 007 reference? then jooheon said 00 chil (the korean pronunciations) at 28:07 and i thought yes there it is, the number 7 in korean is 'chil'. 7 is considered lucky (number) so.. 0 0 lucky bang
