One f_cking amazing card. The 1070 was not only ahead of it's time, when it was released in 2016, but shows how Nvidia is able to create and design cards that even AMD aren't able to build of that caliber. Since 2002, I've always purchased ATI/AMD cards. But in 2019, I purchased my first ever Nvidia card, the 2060 Super. No regrets since.
All this went down the exact way the GPU companies planned it - unless we assume that they are clueless, which is unlikely. The real question is: in what way is this situation profitable for them? The insane extra profit seems to go to the scalpers (in theory) not to the company. Logically, there MUST be a channel for the extra profit to go back to their pocket somehow, if we consider the obvious rules of business...
