    4x4 dressed wood is 3.5" so fits inside bracket without shaving or pounding. Other 4x4 needs thorough drying first, also prevents problems but drying can take 3 weeks plus. Hope that helps others, thanks for sharing your experience. Looks great!

    Hi - Quick question with regards to the pavers - did you attach the feet of the posts to the pavers - and if so - what did you use? Did you drill into the pavers > or did you remove the pavers and put down concrete?

    • @jojobelashares
      @jojobelashares  Před rokem +2

      We did two things to secure it. First we anchored the pergola to the deck by drilling the sides of post into the pergola. Second, we drilled the feet of the posts into the pavers by using tapcon screws.

  • @GB-go6gp
    @GB-go6gp Před rokem

    Although you say that someone should have 5-6 people to help erect the pergola, I think you're grossly underestimating the actual number of people that are required. If you pay very close attention to the video, at minute 4:56, you'll see a streak of pink that comes shooting across screen from the right. In the next few scenes that flash of pink slows down enough to see that the flash is actually your project manager, and your PM has the strength of your so-called 5 or 6 helpers
