You saved me returning my Mojo2. Basically I was in low gain mode and I could barely gwt any volume out of my headphones. I researched all over including Chords own manual and got nothing. Your video showed me I was in low gain, changed to high gain and white menu light came on and now I have good power again. Thank you
You actually should have it in low gain as it creates less distortion and cleaner sound than having it in high gain. The only exception when you want to put it in high gain is when you need more power to drive whatever is on receiving end.

Hi there! The Mojo 2 does not have the line-out feature the Mojo 1 has because it was blowing the ears off of customers after setting it to line level out and forgetting they did. Chord suggests using the "Blue" volume setting as the line level voltage output for most inputs. Please remember to turn it back down before connecting headphones. Hope this helps! I fully understand that Chord provide 'the chord sound' tunning experience with low price, which is really appealing.....But, That EQ like thing, from my opinion, is a little bit 'stupid'. I mean, I you will spend couple hours to tunning your favorite sound, why not just go to audio store to buy a your favorite tunning sound instead. Anyway, it provides many possibilities, which is really great. (I am not blame Chord for that, and I love chord sound!!!)
You need to watch Rob Watts CanJam presentation to understand why the EQ is implemented this way. Traditional EQ tend to also attenuate and increase noise floor at mutliple levels (bands). There is absolutely no way to get around it. What Chord (actually Rob Watts) has achieved here is something spectacular. So, it is not stupid, rather ingenious.
Do you have any instructions on how to connect an M-Scaler to a Mojo2, what benefits we should see from doing so? What cables do you recommend for that purpose? Also any Mojo2 settings we would need to implement? It seems your guides and videos have nearly completely ignored this new functionality with M-Scaler which I think is attractive, especially as a current M-Scaler owner as it is another way to put my M-Scaler to use. On a computer, there are different ways to do this depending on if you are set in exclusive mode or depending what music software you might be listening to. But short answer is yes! 🙂
Chord should do away with the whole button and colour schema and use a bluetooth (or wired) connection with an app interface on a phone to control the DAC.

If multiple inputs are connected simultaneously, Mojo 2 will auto-select the correct input when music is played to the device. USB has priority followed by coaxial and then optical. It is only possible to connect one USB at a time (Micro-USB takes priority over USB-C). Hope this helps! 🙂
We cover the colors for volume control starting at 5:08. Red is the lowest volume in both low- and high-gain modes, and it progresses "up" through the rainbow from there. Hope this helps! 🙂

Yes, the Mojo 2 is a highly resolving DAC. It will bring out more details from your music than the DAC used in the SR 25. The Poly makes the Mojo 2 wireless, so it could compete with the SR25's portability, but the Poly won't add to the sound quality beyond the Mojo 2. The Mojo 2 and Poly pair excellently with your Rai Penta IEMs.
All of the main EQ options would be manually set by you, I would start with how you want to change the sound of the Meze Liric. For example if you want a bit more bass you can increase the first bass EQ choice until it feels natural and then increase the bass shelf to match! No balanced output. No screen, no app. Audio might be waaaay better than any setup I currently have, but sadly, due to the issues above, I'll never even hear it.
You should look into why FPGA setups don't really benefit from balanced output. Screen isn't needed - and all i need is my preferred music app. You should really hear on first before deciding.
Has anyone tried a different PSU on the Mojo 2 in desktop mode? I've asked on the forums but never get any feedback. I'm thinking of an iFi iPower X. I've got one on a streamer and it worked well.
We have not tried the iFi iPower X with the Mojo 2, and it's important to note that the Mojo 2 just uses a MicroUSB port for power. That said, as long as it matches the power specs from Chord, you can certainly try a different charger with it!
@@moon-audio ipowerx is a low noise audio power supply, absolutely no point in using it as a battery charger over a bog standard cheap unit , mojo takes its power from the battery not a power supply, desk top mode just trickle charges the battery
Is anyone using the Mojo 2 as an external DAC coupled with the Sony WM1AM2 Walkman II as a digital music player with its internal DAC disabled? If so, is adding the Mojo 2, or perhaps the Gryphon worth it sonically?
It's got to be the crappiest HMI I have ever seen! Why they stick to it after hundreds or thousands of complaints like mine is simply beyond me! Please check out how iFi audio did it for their Gryphon portable dac!

Feature rich & exstensive audio engineering. (I can appreciate the designers work in terms of audio knowledge and the design of complex electronics) BUT, sorry, 775 bucks for this absurdly horrendous usability nightmare is not acceptable. A device with this feature set needs a screen.

Desktop mode is activated automatically when using the unit plugged in to a charger while at full battery.

Bluetooth will never sound as good as full bandwidth from either Wi-Fi connection or wired connection, in our opinion.

Yes! When you are using Line Out, the Mojo 2 is set to max volume. Do not change as this is optimized for that purpose. 🙂

No, but you can leave it at a certain level for constant operation and control the volume using your separate pre-amp!

Pressing the card in gently a bit further will cause it to eject partially where you can then easily remove the SD card from the Poly itself.
