A bit of weight on the lintel. I might of propped it. If you ever do a job using those T lintels that have little ridges in them over a garage opening, not sure what they’re called, but be careful not to lay more than about 3 courses per side without backing it up on the other side. The damn things twist under the weight of the bricks. Maybe they no longer sell them. You can get away with about 3 courses on one side but go much higher and it’s panic stations trying to quickly scaffold up to lay on the other side before the front collapses. From memory there might be a label on those lintels warning of this.

@@kahnmcroberts7118 looked like a nice strong bar, sitting into established brickwork, but no harm to prop it if there’s a bit of 90x45 lying around.

    G,day Ty from Sydney.
Unfortunate about the "mix-up" on the unit job site. That being the lintel beam not over the garage. The stack bond column with white mortar looks fantastic.
(I wonder how you got the profiles in with the construction scaffolding Insitu: good work).
Looking forward to seeing your new toolbox.
Safe worksite is a happy workplace!

Did three yrs of townies, could never make a decent profit. If I was to do one again, I would be adding 30% on the normal rate.

Tip for the windows. Try spraying wd40 before you build the wall, and then always try to wash down the windows while you clean the cavity👍

Not a bad tip. We've just been washing the windows as we go now. Thanks for watching!
