Really high quality coverage, I really liked it, including the commentary. Do they race to Trans Am rules or is there a difference? To me it looked like there were some ex-Trans Am cars racing and the other ones looked like to be built the same way.
not sure if they were Trans Am rules but certainly the rules had almost always been flexible enough to race Trans Am cars - in the 80s, Audi imported the ex-IMSA Quattros and in the 2000s the grid got flooded with ex-Trans Am cars, which was cool on the one hand but on the other, it killed off the amazing unique South African-built cars (which couldn't really compete) we saw in the 1990s such as the Mazda MX-6 V8/rotary, the Opel Kadett V8, the infamous Willie Hepburn Opel Rekord V8, the BMW 5 series cars that we saw in the early 1990s and many others - the Trans Am cars raised the quality of the field but killed the uniqueness...
