I was not expecting this of all games. Definitely a pleasant surprise, it's just been out for 2 years.
The best tower defense I've ever played. It keeps the player engaged for the entire level, and has a _lot_ of options so you never have to be stuck.
Hard to look at? How? I think it's beautiful.

oooo this is one of my favorites I keep on seeing it thinking it looked mediocre and bad but its one of the best especially in its simplicity and elegance.

I have played this myself. It gets pretty fun, and as you get more traps you end up with your own preferences.

Gemcraft is good I already play all series except the Frostborn Wrath.
in sense that it's a tower defense yeah, but otherwise, this seems completely different to me, perhaps it's because I played too much gemcraft.
both this game and gemcraft are definitly great TD games. and bloons of course.

@@neoxblackgold this game is inspired a lot by gemcraft, it uses the same "wave stone" system on the left, same kind of text and UI is somewhat similar too, you can also reset skills at any point, and the Item system is the talisman system
Edit: and the map system is the same to one of the gemcraft games, being a square grid, where you unlock adjacent maps and it isn't linear.
2nd Edit: it even has the killstreak multiplier

I absolutely love this game it's very challenging but there's so many ways to play
the more traps of the same type you have the more it cost, so all those random spike traps on the labyrinth map were driving up the spike trap cost

Graphics sometimes doesn't matter what matters the most is if the game has a good storyline, gameplay much like most horror games out there that tend to look bad but their story are the ones that are good I'll give some Few example

No, it's not "Orcs Must Die" with top - down view, it's are Tower Defense genre game, which is way older, than OMD. BTW, there is many good games in this genre, while Dungeon Warfare is one of the best, in my opinion.
Each trap except the harpoon mirrors the early OMD traps. Obviously its tower defense but that covers too much ground.

What’s stopping you from closing off the main path with a baricade, and then spamming baricades on top of the people attacking it?
You cant force block the path, and dropping them costs more and more each time.
Also barricades deal damage based on their HP, so enemies don't just get one shot from that.
you can but it cost too much, and they attack they closest barricade so they ignore most of your traps

Big strike against the game in my mind -- $1.99 full price for iPad, $14.99 for Steam. I understand different prices on different platforms to an extent, but that's way too much of a difference.
Certainly a nice tower defence game, but it lacks a lot visually to make it charming.
I mean to some people graphic matter and to some they don’t. Me personally I am a sucker for pixelated type games
Oh, I'm fine with less than HD. But it needs a larger colour palette. Some vibrancy. Clearer character designs. I enjoy Ara Falls (pixel) not for the gameplay(grind grind) but because it is a beautiful world with varied characters (even if they are pretty standard stereotypes).
