How to Bleed Your Brakes

This video explains how to bleed air from your brakes on a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The theory and steps used in this video translates well with other vehicle types. Bleeding your brakes of air will get rid of that spongey brake pedal and above all - STOP your ride!

This is a great tutorial. I have looked the the CZcams channels trying to find out what the nut size was on the bleeder scews/bolts, and nobody says what the sizes are. I was so relieved to hear you say the sizes. You just made my life a little easier, which I'll take any help I can get. Getting up, and down is excruciating for me, now you just saved me many trials and fails on this job on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. On a side not, where I come from, what you (and a lot of other people) referred to as a "Flare Wrench" we call a "Line Wrench". And I have to agree with Jason White... I'm not sure who has who trained when it comes to you your dog, lol. So, have fun no matter what you're doing. I have a saying I came up with years ago. "If you aren't having fun... you're doing it wrong."

You’re welcome! Making these videos are very time consuming. I’m glad I can help-it’s really all I’m trying to do. Yes I wanted to include the sizes so fellow techs/mechanics don’t round that nut off. Line wrench/flare wrench-I try not to get too involved with the minutia of things! I definitely have fun and yes my dog and I are in the garage a lot.
