Nice one Joel, keep on with introducing your friends to BABYMETAL (and the other bands you have found).

Really enjoying these reactions where you bring in the pros the people who know music from the inside. It's a special blast to get to vicariously share their viewing experience. Thanks.

Nice to introduce more folks to Babymetal. Since he is a drummer I might have chosen something he could sink his teeth into more. Like Amore. He might have had more to say about that song. And the performance by Su which is outstanding.

    As always, interesting.
I can see most of your 'guest starring' guys are not only proven musicians or producers but nice guys as well.
All of them look like the kind of people I'd like to hang on and take some beers with, regardless his resume.

@@MegaHogzilla Moa has been smirking much earlier than Headbanger. Her cover of Morning Musume's 'Love Machine', only 4 days before her 14th birthday back in 2013. You should also read the lyrics to this song. There was push back by the staff because they felt she was way too young due to the song's content but she insisted and got her way. @Party Like a Rockstar I like the concept of sharing Babymetal with professionals from the industry. However, would be nice if they would provide insights into the performances, you may need to prod them with questions.
While this performance is epic, IMO the one with Momometal would have been better; the three of them sitting on the thrones. 👑🍗🍑
BTW I love your Rugby hoodie. Played 14 season, the last 4 international. 🏉 Though my body is paying the price now. 🩸

To be honest, it's nice to see Babymetal being introduced to others in this way but the reactions are usually pretty dull. It's usually like 'uhh umm yeah it's good'. That's to be expected since there is A LOT to process in Babymetal's songs, especially this one. It's a much more real reaction than seeing people fall out of their chairs in amazement 30 seconds in. It's just very dull. I do hope you keep doing this though as you are spreading the word and that is always appreciated.

Hmmm ... Metal Kingdom? Not what I would pick for a first timer to react to. It's too much "production" and not enough of who Babymetal really are. There's no choreography, it's not catchy like the rest of the songs, doesn't highlight the band. It's a theatrical opening, not necessarily a song you'd put on a playlist. It's a slow melodic intro, and doesn't highlight the real Babymetal. Just my opinion of course. No offense please.

    • @jeffschreifels8651
      @jeffschreifels8651 Před 7 měsíci +4

Metal Kingdom is right up there as one of my favorite Babymetal songs but I agree it was an odd choice as an introduction to them. I would have chosen Divine Attack or Monochrome.

This is a great song it's like being thrown into a room with a cult it's spooky and so far from where they started. They really have made the transition from children to adults very well. It was more fun for me when they were younger but su's voice is something that you always look forward to hearing

I appreciate when you introduce Babymetal to people from the industry who are unfamiliar with them. Much respect to you.
I believe that his and anyone else's questions about LIVE would have been answered had you used HQ pro shot videos of their LIVE performances (such as the link below) instead of Official Babymetal MV's which are more often than not studio audio over LIVE footage. Watch it and you will hear the difference Immediately.
Metal Kingdom LIVE at PIA Arena Yokohama
    czcams.com/video/xd-lswJ2e3k/video.htmlfeature=shared
Pro shot videos include LIVE audio and more of the Kami Band (which by the way ARE NOT usually playing in the studio recordings so there's that as well).
    Thanks and until next time.

Yeah...They don't bring all of their toys when they travel. If you want to see all the bells/whistles your going to have to go to Japan.

You’re absolutely correct. I attended a number of their recent US shows and actually this one at Makuhari Messe in Japan. They have done a few arena shows outside of Japan, like the Forum in LA. However, I imagine it would be financially prohibitive to bring this level of production to the US when they performed 30 shows at much smaller venues. I still enjoyed seeing them up close, which is more difficult at the big shows.
