Most babies don't realize that Israel's Gospel of the Kingdom is different than Paul's Gospel of Grace, and they end up mixing and combining the two Gospels. Total confusion is the only possible outcome when they don't separate the two, and rightly divide between what was meant for Israel and what is meant for the Body of Christ Church.

Simple explanation of all these passages: 1. In the gospels Jesus and Israel were under the law and were required to keep the law. Faith plus works just like James says. But this gospel of the kingdom is not for us the body of Christ. 2. In Paul's epistles he is talking about the unsaved who are committing those sins. Sin cannot unsave us. Hebrews 4 shines further light on what Striving to enter the narrow gate involves: Heb 4: 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. We have to labour (or strive) to enter into his rest, because it's not that easy for most people to cease from their own works (or to stop trusting their own works) to enter into his rest. Most people think you have to DO something, but the reality is Christ has already DONE it, and all we need to do is REST.

Calvinists - among others - preach the one and only gospel o of grace whereby we are saved through faith alone by grace alone. How can a man have faith in God and continue to live as a profligate sinner, just as he did before he was given the gift of true faith? Hello my brother in Christ. Thank you for your videos. I believe that the narrow gate was the way of the Mosaic Law. Narrow snd difficult is the way because if you break 1 law, you would have broken all. Jesus came and walked by thru the law and fulfilled it so we no longer have to. It now saved by faith in Christ. I say this because Luke 13:25 it says when the master has risen, and shut the door, you begin to stand outside … this appears to say that the ways of the law is done away with and Christ now is the new door to G-d the father. It also appears that most of Jesus’ parables was concerning the Jews and the law and Jesus replacing that law thru faith in Christ, since Jesus came to minister to the Jews first. What is your opinion on this view please? Thank you
Strive to Enter the Kingdom? Matthew 7:13-14 - Bob Wilkin May 1, 2024 faithalone.org/grace-in-focus-articles/strive-to-enter-the-kingdom-matthew-713-14/ A reader sent in this question: "Hello. Thanks for your articles. I genuinely believe in salvation by faith alone, by trusting in Jesus Christ as God and His atoning death/blood for the forgiveness of sins. However, one Scripture that has always confused me is Matthew 7:13-14. What does Jesus mean when He says we need to strive to enter the narrow gate and that the way is hard? Does that seem to imply an intense struggle to be saved? In other words, how does Matthew 7:13-14 square with Romans 6:23, Galatians 2:16, or Romans 5:1? Thank you in advance for your response." The Lord Jesus did refer to entering by the narrow gate in Matt 7:13-14. But the text does not mention striving. The questioner is thinking of Luke 13:24: “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.” The reader asks a super question when he asks how to square striving to enter with other clear verses that teach justification by faith alone, apart from works (Gal 2:16; Rom 5:1). Whenever we perceive one passage as contradicting another, we need to ask how the two can be harmonized. Some think that Matt 7:13-14 concerns discipleship rather than salvation from eternal condemnation. They understand “the way which leads to life” to refer to the path of discipleship that leads to abundant life. However, in this context, it is more natural to understand the phrase as referring to how to enter into everlasting life (cf. Matt 18:8-9; 19:16-17). If everlasting life and justification are in view, we know the sole condition is faith in Christ (John 3:16; 5:24; 6:47; Gal 2:16; Rom 5:1). Could faith alone in Christ for everlasting life be the narrow gate? Do some people need to strive to believe Jesus’ promise of everlasting life (e.g., John 3:16)? Yes, and yes. Most people on Earth today reject the faith-alone message. Even most professing Christians! Coming from another religion might make you uncomfortable attending church or talking with a Christian about Christ. The faith-alone message might seem like nonsense to you. The same is true, as well, if you come from most Christian traditions. You would be uncomfortable attending a church that proclaims the faith-alone message. The word translated strive is agonizomai. We get the word agonize from it. It is used seven times in the NT. It is translated as fight in John 18:36; 1 Tim 6:12; and 2 Tim 4:7. Paul used it to refer to competing for a prize in 1 Cor 9:25. It is translated as striving in Col 1:29 and laboring fervently in Col 4:12. Striving/fighting/competing is not required in order to be born again. The Lord never said that. But for most in His legalistic Jewish audience, striving was, in a sense, necessary in order to come to belief in Jesus’ promise of eternal life. The Lord rebuked some legalistic Jews, saying, “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life” (John 5:39-40). Their problem was not that they searched the Scriptures (cf. Acts 17:11). It was that they were searching with closed minds. They were not seeking to find God’s way to eternal life. They were seeking to understand what the greatest commandments were so that they could best gauge the likelihood that they would gain kingdom entrance. Does that sound familiar? Isn’t that the way many people in Christendom search the Scriptures? Aren’t many seeking to check their works against Scripture? Don’t they base their assurance and that of others on how obedient they are? If you have ever shared the faith-alone message, you know that most people reject it. Most are happy to tell you why you are preaching a false gospel. They will charge you with cheap grace and easy believism. Maybe you could tell them that the narrow gate is the faith-alone, apart from works, way. You could ask them if they are willing to ask God if the faith-alone message is true. Are they willing to read the Gospel of John and meditate honestly on what they find? Is striving to find the truth out of the question for them? Thomas Edison took fourteen months to get a working light bulb. He tried thousands of filaments that didn’t work before finding one that did. He had to strive to find the right filament. His striving was certainly work. But striving to enter by the narrow way is not work. This striving does not involve turning from sins and doing good works. It involves being open to believing in the Lord Jesus Christ for the gift of everlasting life. That message may seem heretical to people. They may hate it, as Saul of Tarsus did. The striving needed is prayer and openness to the Word of God. For years, Martin Luther strove to be justified before God by his works. He turned from his sins, sought to live a holy life, went on pilgrimages, taught the Scriptures to others, and confessed his sins to other priests. It was all to no avail. Then, while meditating on Scripture, he realized that justification is by faith alone, apart from works. If the legalist is open to the truth, then his legalistic striving will eventually give way to the realization that everlasting life is a gift given to all who simply believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. I find it odd that many are willing to strive to enter into life by doing everything except praying and studying. They turn from their sins, commit their lives to Christ, and begin on the path of discipleship. They give their money. But these people who will seemingly do anything to gain everlasting life are unwilling to consider that their view may be wrong. They are unwilling to simply come to the Lord Jesus that they may have life (John 5:40). Don’t be afraid to ask people if they are willing to strive in order to gain everlasting life if the striving involves prayer and study of the Gospel of John. Ask them if they are willing to believe the faith-alone message. There is no other way to be born again. If people are not willing to believe in Jesus for the gift of everlasting life, then their need is to become willing. That may take striving. Striving to find the truth is a good thing.
Thank you for your reply. I was not thinking about anyone today since Christianity was not yet established with any gentiles as of yet during that time period. Yet Luke 13 would not make much sense if the narrow gate was Christ because that gate was closed after the master has risen and shut the door, according to Luke 13:25. This appears to be talking of Christ on his resurrection and the only door closed was the mosaic law for the Jews. This new door being Christ but it’s was no longer a narrow gate. I am in agreement with salvation but I can not see the narrow gate to be for salvation after Christ was risen because that narrow gate was closed. Christ is the new gate but he is not referred to as a narrow gate.

Every human being will be judged on their works. Many Christians will face eternal damnation, because they thought that nothing was required of them from God. Scripture says: Revelation 20:11-15 "And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." The 5 foolish virgins knocked on Jesus' door and asked him to let them in, but he rejected them. Esau begged for his father's blessing in tears but he didn't get it. The rich young ruler was rejected from following Jesus when he refused to sell his riches and give to the poor. Judas gave back the 30 pieces of silver but he wasn't saved. Even the demons believe and tremble, and they will not be saved. Jesus said that every lukewarm Christian without exception will be spit out. That means that Jesus is going to reject them all. There are many Christians who believe in Jesus, but they will end up in hell for eternity, because they rejected his word. It was easier for them to believe in the Broad Road. John 3:36 Jesus said, "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."
If someone goes to the lake of fire, they were never Christian/saved to begin with. Would be foolish to act as though repentance isn’t in the Bible. Having said that, there is Godly repentance. And there is Judas repentance. You don’t want Judas repentance. Indirectly, Judas believed in himself instead of believing in Jesus Christ. Doesn’t hurt to explain in general why do you believe?
@bighand1530 I believed in Jesus as long as I can remember. When I was 40 years old, I received the Holy Spirit and I was changed. I felt the overflowing love of Jesus and I started a real relationship with him that I didn't have before by simply believing. His presence is constant and he talks to me in my dreams and I see him and spend time with him that way. He makes himself real and available.
@@ThomasShopek Luke 13:22-30 is not about going to heaven. It’s about the self-exclusion of the Jews from the New Covenant because of their refusal to accept Jesus as Messiah and enter under His rule in His Church, and the inclusion of the gentiles instead. The narrow way is the way of the cross; we enter that way by denying self, taking up the cross and following Him. Matthew 6:21-23. Casting out devils, prophesying, and doing mighty works are not good works; works down out of love of neighbor (feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, etc.) are good works, which those who did mighty and impressive miracles lacked, because they sought to glorify & distinguish themselves. Such men are evil doers indeed. Wilkins interpretation of Hebrews 10:26-27 is tortured nonsense. This is shown by Hebrews 10:39 which contrasts those who “draw back and perish” with those who “have faith and will possess life.” Hebrews isn’t talking about punishment in this life, but salvation in the next life. In dealing with 1 Corinthians 6:7-11, Wilkin again rips the verse (and parallel verses) to shreds to make it fit his false soteriology. All saved persons will reign with Christ, and to be heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ describe the same salvation. Compare John 3:3-5 where “seeing the kingdom” and “entering the kingdom” are equivalent terms both connected to the new birth: all reborn of water and spirit (and only those born of water & spirit) can see and enter the kingdom, i e be saved. His interpretation of the parable of the sheep and goats is such a convoluted mess it’s hard to know how to untangle that knot of nonsense.
When you discuss 1 Cor 6:9-11, you focus on the phrase "inherit the kingdom of God." I thought this verse meant that any one of those sins listed is enough to send us to Hell. Believers, however, have been washed by the blood of Christ, sanctified, and justified by Christ as the passage explains. It's saying that we enter Heaven because of what Christ did and not because we have repented of those sins. Would you agree that is the focus of this passage? It just seems that, the way you are explaining it, that anyone who committed those sins will not be able to rule with Christ or inherit parts of the Kingdom. It's so easy to sin, so it seems to me that no one would inherit the Kingdom if that was the case.
Please Help me I Believe Jesus Is The Son of God and God The Son of The Holy Trinity I Believe Jesus Shed His Blood and Died in my place to Pay for All my Sins He Was Buried Then 3 Days Later Jesus Arose From The Dead!!! But I am struggling with some Sins that I honestly don’t know how to quit Am I still Saved because of my faith in Jesus or am I Not Saved because of my Sins? Thank you for All your Help and Time God Bless you
Jesus can set you free from sin (Jn 8^34-36). The Lord Jesus has set me free from smoking after a simple prayer. I felt a Power going through my body and saw a vision of ropes being cut from my wrists - and the cravings were totally gone. Sometimes He delivers us, and sometimes we need to "cut off our hand" to stop the sin. OSAS is NOT the Truth. Humbly ask the Lord to guide you in Truth, and to Help you in Santification.
It is by grace that you have been saved through faith,,,not by works lest any man should boast. The will of the Father is that you would trust in Christ alone. You are not saved by works...ever! Something you almost never hear is whether or not someone is born again. Isiah doesn't understand what takes place when you are born again.
Ephesians 2:10: "We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." They don't save us but a Christian WILL persevere to walk God's plan for their life. That is MORE that just theological study! You seem to shirk God's will for us to walk in His paths just to point out they're not necessary for salvation! A Christian would persevere in doing them to please the Father BECAUSE they are saved by faith! If Christians don't bear fruit you SHOULD question whether they have truly "believed"!
In Ezekiel 36 Israel was given the promise of a new covenant. In it God says that he will put his Spirit in them and cause them to keep his commands. It was promised because they were unfaithful and unable to keep it on their own. How is it that instead of understanding that the obedience of true believers will be even greater than in previous days do we get teaching that it really doesn't matter if you do anything righteous because we just have to believe in Jesus? I don't think the church today for the most part even knows what trusting Jesus means or the fact that if there is no action, then there is no faith. Isaiah is right. God is looking for a faithful people who will trust him and therefore obey him. Trusting God automatically produces righteous action. Unbelief produces sin. This is the way it has always been and the entire old testament testifies to it. We are saved by grace through SAVING FAITH alone, not dead faith. Abraham had saving faith because he had a promise from God that all the nations would be blessed through Isaac so even though God said "sacrifice him", Abraham reasoned that God would bring him back from the dead somehow. His TRUST obeyed. God knows if we have trust that changes how we live or not. This is how true faith works: if you say that lifeboats save, but when your ship is sinking you refuse to get in one, I will rightly conclude that you do not REALLY "believe/trust/have faith" like what you said. We ALL automatically act out what we truly believe. So we all need to ask ourselves, "what does how I live my life say I TRULY believe"?
You’re completely wrong….Nowhere does it say ALL CHRISTIANS WILL! Nothing is guaranteed in the Bible but salvation and death. You just belive that your obedience and service will save you because you’re prideful. Bob is not saying it doesn’t matter to obey but what you’re failing to realize is what are we ordered to obey under the NEW COVENANT! You ppl are living as if Jesus hasn’t died and trying to do things to satisfy god that were required before the death of Jesus. What’s the point in believing in Jesus if you are stilling leaning on what Moses set ? You don’t need Jesus you can just follow all 600 laws not just 10 ? You’re continually rejecting Christ when u say were saved “BUT” when u add a butt to anything you have weakened the argument set before. Christ blood , death and resurrection , his perfection , holiness etc doesn’t need help from imperfect sinful man if it did then Christ really isn’t Christ. Please come off your high horse telling god all the good you do means nothing to him unless you have done ALL good 100% , perfect etc and guess what u haven’t nor will u but u know who has been perfected , made holy , made righteous , blameless , redeemed ? BELIEVERS ! We can stand before god 100% secure knowing that he’s not reading our record for entry into heaven but he’s checking to see who we put our faith in …our bible reading , feeding the poor, tithing , not sinning (IMPOSSIBLE) etc or are we trusting Jesus ALONE! Following Isaiah will lead to condemnation. He who BELIEVES is not condemned , he who doesn’t is condemned already. There is NO condemnation to those in Christ.
@@NYCNY92 I wish I could explain fully, but I'm still studying to understand the balance between grace and obedience. Yes, we are only brought into the Holy of Holies through the blood of Jesus, (but) Jesus laid out the life of a disciple in Matt 5-7 and said that those who heard his message AND obeyed it would be established while those who didn't would be destroyed. I am not promoting obeying the 613 commands of the Mosaic Law. I AM promoting obeying the law of Christ. Do you know the difference? When we put our faith in Jesus, we are putting our trust in his message that he is telling the truth and is trustworthy. HE said that if our hand or eye causes us to stumble, we should pluck it out. Better to enter eternal life maimed than to have both body AND soul thrown into judgment (not less reward). He said this to his disciples, his followers. Was he kidding? I am convinced of this much 100%. Trusting God results in changed behaviour, just as Paul said to the Corinthians "you are our letter of recommendation. Your lives demonstrate what we teach". As for what place our actions have, read Acts 10. The angel says to Cornelius (who had not yet put his faith in Jesus) "your prayers and offerings to the poor have not gone unnoticed by God, therefore, send for a man named Peter...". All it says about Cornelius is that he and his household feared the Lord, that he prayed often and gave generously to the poor. But all our actions are filthy rags, right? I think we need to read more carefully. Our lives show us and everyone around us what we truly believe. Do we fear the Lord? Do we believe Jesus that we need to treat sin like it is trying to kill us? Do we believe that lust is adultery and no adulterer will inherit the Kingdom? I think if we did, we would fear, we would start to have wisdom, and we would gain a bit of self-control. If I told someone "don't touch that switch, you'll get a deadly shock", I don't think anyone would struggle to not touch it, but when Jesus says it, we go "it's alright. Jesus will forgive you". Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we have to be perfect, but there is some truth there in demonstrating trust and the obedience it produces. I welcome feedback. Like I said, I'm still seeking to fully understand, but I think the truth is somewhere in the middle.
@@danielbu2611 Jesus commandment was what ? It wasn’t stop drinking , stop lying , stop bing a glutton it was to BELIVE in him and LOVE thigh neighbor so if that’s the commandments you’re referring to then yes we should follow those commandments but if you’re talking about any command outside of trusting Jesus that is a WORK! Which does not save you. As I said before I’m not saying we should act any kind of way but the way we act while it helps ppl see god it does nothing to perfect out Spirit in fact often it creates prideful self righteous ppl much like the Pharisees. They promoted the law about grace snd Jesus rejected them. Weren’t they obedient ? Dressed liked Christian’s called like Christian’s etc but they were not saved. ‘Muslims are similar to them in that they put their entire lives to the side to live for their god, since they’re obedient shouldn’t they be saved based on your opinion ? NO because they don’t believe Jesus is the son of god.. Now in the Bible how many ppl didn’t look like a Christian’s ? Lots but they were saved the moment they belive !
@@GRACE4LYFE If Isaiah Saldivar is saved(not saying he is for the record. God knows Isaiah Saldivar better than I do), he is someone who probably won’t earn as many rewards as one would think. There is gonna be people who will make it to Heaven. But they won’t earn a single reward.
The bottom line is that this other fellow, is saying "You must help Jesus to save you with works." No, I can't do anything in and of myself to help with my own salvation. If that were thew case, it means that Christ's sacrifice on the cross, wasn't and isn't sufficient for the forgiveness of the sins of mankind. That is not the message of the gospel. WE are to do good deeds, or works, but that does nothing concerning our salvation. He chooses us, and He will not abandon us, even if we aren't the best Christians. The Holy Spirit in us, is a seal of ownership.
"Calvinists and Arminians" don't teach the historic, orthodox doctrine of Justification by faith alone, through grace alone, in Christ alone and are damned in the same sense as Catholics who profess that works done in righteousness contribute to your justification? This is a woefully dangerous chanel. You know not what spirit you're of.

Those in Matthew 7:21-23 are pointing to their works as evidence they knew Jesus. Still Jesus said I NEVER KNEW YOU DEPART FROM ME YE WORKERS OF INIQUITY. They were those who foolishly thought repentance was works and lived a life in unrepentant sin.
@@DynamicGracerdont listen to that guy, he’s a troll. They relied on their works to get to heaven, they never did the father’s will. The will of the father can be found in John 6:40, those false prophets in mathew 7 thought they can take glory away from Christ.
Gotta earn it… Gotta work for it… Gotta feel good about my effort… Just another dime a dozen works righteousness preacher (hope HIS works are good enough)… Jesus’ direct & specific response to His own statement in Matthew 7:21 is found in John 6:40 where no demand for striving or works is remotely suggested… ONLY BELIEVE… The accusation of easy believism comes next… easy?… you bet-God intended it to be easy for us BUT IT COST HIM EVERYTHING ✝️☦️✝️… why is this so hard to accept?… one word => PRIDE…
The people in Matthew 7:21-23 were believers. They were pointing to their works as proof that they knew Jesus. The key words are knew meaning they didn't have an intimate relationship with the shepherd by not listening to Jesus's voice. The second key word is Iniquity. They had never come to repentance and lived in continuous unrepentant sin no different than someone who didn't believe. They are the arrogant prideful self righteousness who thought they didn't have to repent of their sins, so they dies in them.
@2Chronicles714_ Rahab the harlot lived in sin. Jesus said the harlot will enter into heaven before the self righteous Mathew 21. Every man sins daily. We all live in sin. The deception is you think its about sin. Jesus defeated sin, death and satan in one blow. All we have to do is believe.
@NOTOFWORKS289 Faith that is not associated with or precedes out of repentance is a counterfeit faith. It is not the Faith of the new testament. There is no true believing the gospel apart from repentance. It's a counterfeit. It's not real faith, and it produces counterfeit fruit, because they don't have real faith. They have a counterfeit,a substitute faith, which has bypassed repentance. You can not find in the new testament starting in Matthew and ending up in Revelation where faith is offered without repentance. It's a false gospel.
John 10:1-5,14,26-27 Truly truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way that man is a thief and a robber. 2But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they "know" his voice. 5A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not "know" the voice of strangers.14 Iam the good shepherd. I "know" my own and my own "know" me 26but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. 27My sheep hear my voice, and I "know" them, and they follow me. Only those who have a changed life by repentance, and striving for Holiness are those who are Jesus's sheep and follow him. Jesus uses the word "knows" as in an intimate way just like that word is used throughout scripture. Matt 7:21-23 Why does Jesus say depart from me I never "knew" you ye that work iniquity. He's not double minded The works mentioned are works that He told us to do Matt 10:28 John14:12 Mark 16:15-17. Jesus and Paul: Acts 26:18-20 To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and and inheritance among those who are sanctified by Faith in me. Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, 20but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should REPENT AND TURN TO GOD and do works befitting repentance. Clearly they claimed they believed in God to do those works He doesn't say you trusted in your works He doesn't say I knew you once and you later rejected me. He says I never "knew" you (in scripture "knew" means intimately) They never changed their minds about their sinfulled life (repented) Of their sins as Jesus the disciples and Paul all preached They didn't have a personal relationship with Him. They were pointing to their works as evidence they knew Him. They believed repentance is works God didn't know them because they hadn't been regenerated, forgiven of their sins and died in their iniquity. Titus 1:16 They profess that they "know" God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good works reprobate. Jesus wouldn't refer to what He commanded us to do as iniquity or lawlessness Note: They didn't say I repented of my sins which is the first requirement for salvation. What is the will of the Father? The Greek word that is translated as “does” is poieo. The word appears 598 times in the New Testament. It has been demonstrated that the Greek word for “does” refers to action that performs an activity. This word is a verb and not a noun.Since poieo is a verb, we must also determine the meaning of its tense, voice and mood. The tense of poieo in Matthew 7:21 is in the present tense.Poieo in the present tense refers to action that is ongoing. For example, when Jesus said, “he who does the will” He was referring to ongoing action at that moment in time. In other words he who is doing the Father's will. The Greek word for “does” is a Greek present participle which implies ongoing behavior. The person who does the will of God once in a while does not qualify.Jesus is describing someone who habitually does the will of the Father. Poieo is also in the active voice, which means that when Jesus said, “.he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter” Jesus was saying that the individual must be performing the action. A life of obedience (present tense “do” [Ποιωv] for continuous action) to his will is, in fact, the definition of righteousness. when Jesus says “. . . but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.” The word “does” is a present, active, participle verb which means that those who continuously are doing the will of the Father go to heaven. Jesus was referring to a pattern of life and not perfect obedience. The character of true Christians is that they sin less and less as they mature in their faith.
Hi there, 2Chronicles714. I don't really have the time for long debates with people, so that is why I left our debate over on the other video. So I just want to make this short by asking the question: Do you know what jusitification in the New Testment means? And if so, what is Justification?
Does the thief on the cross just get a pass on all these requirements? Jesus told the young ruler who asked him how to have eternal life to sell everything and give away the money. He told the thief on the cross 'hang tight'. How do you explain these two completely different standards for salvation?
@wtallent2224 The thief on the cross admitted he was guilty of his sins., he changed his mind (repented) Of his sinfulled life He said: Luke 23:41-43 We are punished justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. [Thats Repentance] 42And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. HE FEARED GOD. Anyone who refuses to acknowledge and change their mind (repent) about their sinfulled life will not be forgiven, just as the thief if he wouldn't have admitted his sins, he would not have believed or been forgiven. If he would've only said Remember me he would not have been saved. The other thief didn't admit he deserved to die he insulted Jesus, HE DID NOT FEAR GOD, he didn't admit his sins he said: If he is who he claims he is let him save himself and us. The thief, repented which is the consequence of faith and is with Jesus in paradise. The rich young ruler like so many wasn't willing to do what Jesus said in Luke 9:23-26 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. 25What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? 26Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. Luke 14:27-35 And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. 28 Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you30saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’ 31“Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? 32If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. 33In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples. 34“Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? 35It is fit neither for the soil nor for for the manure pile; it is thrown out. 62Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” The young ruler wanted to keep doing things his way instead of being willing to surrender to Jesus and put Him in charge of his life.
@@2Chronicles714_ That's a fine answer except that if discipleship equals salvation, why is there any talk of grace in the Bible at all? Grace is unearned and undeserved, unless you're going to argue that the translation to English is botched. Isn't grace given because we SUCK at discipleship? Even Peter and Paul blew it! Grace is an admission by God that we CAN'T measure up. So what standard is Jesus asking for if he's saying your discipleship determines your salvation? The young ruler could very well have said on his deathbed "man I was wrong to walk away from him that day!" and repented in the same manner as the thief, and now he gets salvation AND kept his stuff! How would Jesus tell the (now old) ruler 'no' when he told the thief 'yes'?
Acts 17:30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance but now COMMANDETH ALL PEOPLE EVERY WHERE TO REPENT. Acts 20:21 I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they MUST TURN TO GOD IN REPENTANCE AND HAVE FAITH in our Lord Jesus Christ. Repentance is the consequence of faith. Repent and believe.
@Kvirik Of course they do. They are not optional. John 3:16 will save no one. Your sins are not forgiven unless you humble yourself acknowledge that you are a guilty vile sinner in need of a Savior and change your mind about your sinfulled life do a 180° turn to living for and pleasing Jesus.
@@cheflos524 “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise” -Ephesians 1:13 They were sealed by the Holy Spirit when they believed in Jesus for eternal life, and so are we. Hence, it is written “in whom” and not “in which”.
Good job Bob. You got most of it right. But when we rightly divide God's word we understand that our gospel that saves us today is not found in the 4 gospel books. The word believe in the gospels refers to the Jews to believe Jesus was the Christ. Not that they were to believe in His death, burial and resurrection. Most of the time in the gospels Jesus was still alive yet they were preaching a gospel. A gospel which did not include the DBR of Christ. No, John tells us what THEY (Israel) were to believe. John 20:31 KJV But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. But then Jesus gives Paul a new gospel message that DOES INCLUDE the DBR. Read I Cor 15:1-4.

it's funny how these works salvationists never say up front: "do not be deceived, don't think it is enough to *believe* in Christ for your eternal salvation", for that wouldn't sound right, it wouldn't sound Christian... no, they always say: "don't be deceived (a favorite expression), it's not enough to walk an isle, say a prayer, claim to be a Christian" etc... it's never *believe* ... it's always some straw man.... it's sad how so many today "strive" so hard to get across a corrupted works salvation message... they must think they are some "holiest of all" types... how can they think for a second that they themselves qualify for eternal life? they always pick and choose scriptures with lists of sins, but seldom major on certain parts in these lists, like the "lesser" sins, such as "covetous", "hatred, variance, wrath, strife, heresies", "envyings", (1 cor.6, Ga.5, Eph.5) ... no, for they know that they do not qualify in the face of those sins... they would not "inherit the kingdom of God" if any of those sins are present in their lives... so they must major on the "larger" sins, sins *they* are not doing... to make it sound more serious... 😄

Whereas , Everlasting Life is a Gift that is received by faith alone in Him FOR His doubtless Guarantee of Everlasting Life as "one sip of the Water of Life" , that forever quenches the thirst for eternity (John 4:10-14 ; see also John 1:12-13,3:1-18,5:24,6:47,11:23-27,20:31) ; Totally apart from all behavioral performance (works) : Ephesians 2:8-9 ; Romans 3:20-5:11,11:6 Titus 3:5 ; Phillipians 3:9 ; & the book of Galatians .
As i've always believed that God is the God of truth and the creator of the laws of logic. So when I read John 3:16, it is a self contained statement, no context required. So, by this one verse, your salvation is predicated on your belief in Jesus and all that He is. If this were not true, then why should I trust any other word in the Bible. If one verse is a lie, the entire book would be untrustworthy. So, because I believe it is ALL true, it simply means that many Christians misunderstand much of the Bible.
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang ALL THE LAW and the prophets. Matt 22:37-40 (KJV) “with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” means that the first commandment is to be obeyed under all circumstances. And this love of the first law is “to love (in a social or moral sense) -Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary”, it means to do the right thing. And who is God that we are to love no matter the circumstance? ...and the Word was God […and the Law was God]. John 1:1 (KJV). God’s word is law (rules, ethics, morals, principles,) Matt 4:4. Man must coexist to survive. To coexist we must have laws to protect the rights of all. God gave us laws that would allow us to do just that, live, IF adhered to. 33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. Luke 21:33 (KJV). Let’s face it the laws that we choose to govern by are not working no matter where you live at in this world. It is not enough to just to confess that you believe in the [fairy tales] fables 1 Tim 1:4 (KJV) (the leaven of today’s teachers). You can’t judge the world nor angels 1 Cor 6:2-3 (KJV) unless you know the right laws to judge by. And it is not enough to just know the letter of the law, 14 Thou shalt not commit adultery. Ex 20:14 (KJV), but you need to know why they are laws and what happens if disobeyed. 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matt 5:28 (KJV). You need to take it to heart and know that adultery causes strife, contention, and disturbs the peace of all involved and tempts others to do the same. One who loves their neighbor as themself would not want to disturb their neighbor’s peace, they are not ruled by law but by love. Those that “don’t” only because they are told “thou shalt not” easily fall to temptation because there is no conviction and are ruled by law and are condemned by law. Those that are sincere in their want for peace and truth are drawn to God because that is what God is, peace IN truth, 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him:… John 6:44 (KJV) and 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. …10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. James 4:8-10 (KJV) This is what Jesus and the New Testament do, they teach the true meanings and principles of the laws that are in the Old Testament, “the spirit of the law”. Being washed in the blood of the lamb means to learn and follow the true meaning of God’s laws, especially through trials and tribulations, (which is the chastisement of God, thereby showing his love for his children, 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Heb 12:6 (KJV)). That blood washing also being present for those who were sincere in their walk with God since the creation of mankind, hence: 8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Heb 13:8 (KJV) and 58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. John 8:58 (KJV). The prophets, which includes Jesus, died BECAUSE of our sins. We (mankind) were ignorant, and our leaders were greedy, and their deeds were in darkness, and they killed the prophets because they brought those deeds to light. Jesus laid down his life FOR our salvation (John 10:17-18 (KJV)) by his blood, 20 …This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. Luke 22:20 (KJV) that was shed for the bringing of the New Testament (true meaning to laws), this is why it said that Jesus is the only way to salvation. 16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. Heb 9:16 (KJV). And he followed those laws as an example for us to follow, being a man and not God, showing us how to live according to the word in the flesh. 21 … because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an EXAMPLE, THAT YE SHOULD FOLLOW HIS STEPS: … 1 Peter 2:21-24 (KJV). Jesus was a man primed and groomed to be our master, high priest, and the mediator between us and God. 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; 10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. Heb 5:8-10 (KJV). 14 Seeing then that we have a great HIGH PRIEST (not God), that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but WAS in all points TEMPTED (in contradiction to 13 … for God CANNOT be tempted with evil, …James 1:13 (KJV)) like as we are, yet without sin. Heb 4:14-15 (KJV). Two separate wills mean two separate beings. 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. Luke 22:42 (KJV) And 30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. John 5:30 (KJV) And 28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. 1 Cor 15:28 (KJV) {By principle of this; 14 … For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14 (KJV) Jesus’ life and sacrifice can be likened to less than a finger prick if he is THE God, for God is eternal.} Take a good look at the world and you can plainly see that sin (crime) causes nothing but pain and death. To nutshell it, unless you do your very best by your love and faith to put God (the word) before all else you are not worthy of the protection that the word (law) facilitates, Matt 10:37 (KJV). And make no mistake God will not jeopardize the peace of heaven for no one. 27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. Rev 21:27 (KJV) May God have mercy on his children. Amen P.S. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. … 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. John 14:15-21 (KJV) And 20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. James 5:20 (KJV) And 8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8 (KJV) To be saved you not only have to believe in Jesus, but you must believe his testament that he signed off on with his own blood. “If you love me keep my commandments”. Salvation is free to all and cannot be bought (grace), but once you accept this “grace” the bible (KJV) tells us we are to work out our own salvation by the works of our faith without wavering and not to willfully sin. 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27 (KJV)
The will of the Father is not simply to believe but also to obey. John 3:36 And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.” John 8:51 Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.” 1 John 2:3-6 And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments. 4 [IF] someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth. 5 But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. 6 Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did. 1 John 3:22,24 And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.24 Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us. John 14:21 Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.” 1 Peter 1:14-16 So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. 15 But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. 16 For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.
So you are perfectly holy. Would people that know you think you are as holy as Jesus. We can’t live up to those standards. What you think is holy God thinks are filthy rags. The rich young ruler told Jesus that he has kept all the commandments. Then Jesus told him to give all he had to the poor to get to heaven. Jesus knew he never kept all the commandments. Jesus also knew giving everything he had to the poor doesn’t get you to heaven. Must read things in context. John never told anybody to do anything but believe. Guess he didn’t really know how to get saved according to you.😂
Your translation or imagination of John 3:36 is INCORRECT! Here’s what it actually says John 3:36 “The person who believes on the Son has everlasting life, and the person who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
Obey what? Keep which words? Obey which commandments? 1 John 3:23 (NASB) "And this is HIs commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us." These are the commandments that John is talking about in his letter. Please quote the whole passage. Don't leave verses out.
@karent743 Same exact meaning.. You seem to have a problem with obedience to Jesus. Should he let any in His sinless Kingdom who with self righteous pride lived in rebellion? He kicked lucifer out for pride and disobedience
@@2Chronicles714_ and you seem to have a problem understanding what the word BELIEVE means! Believe doesn’t mean obey, no matter how much YOU say it does. Believe= to accept something as true, genuine or real Obey= carry out a command or instruction
@BryanLChess I don't even follow him but from this video he is absolutely correct. John 3:16 Isn't th gospel how could it be there is nothing about repentance nor forgiveness of sins. It is one of the many scriptures in John to encourage believers to continue believing. Acts 2:37-41 is how to be born again.
@@2Chronicles714_ that’s where you’re wrong, the church isn’t saved with Acts 2:38, the Gospel that saves the church is 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4. You need to rightly divide. Baptism doesn’t save you. He’s absolutely wrong, and is spreading lies.
@BryanLChess Yes Acts 2 is for all unless Jesus got it wrong when He said in Matthew 18:16 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. Peter not Paul. Peter and Paul preached the same gospel. That's a blasphemy to say there are 2 gospels meaning there are 2 roads to heaven for different people. Acts 2 is the day of pentecost which is the start of the church. This was the first time in church where some asked how to be saved. 37When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles,(Including John)“Brothers, what shall we do? 38Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off. (meaning gentiles) for all whom the Lord our God will call.” 40With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” 41Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. 1 Corinthians 15:2 By this gospel you are saved, [IF] you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. If we believe the gospel that Paul preached, We will come to Christ in repentance. Acts 17:30 In the past, God overlooked such ignorance but now commandeth all people every where to repent. Acts 20:21 I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus. Jesus and Paul Acts 26:18-20 To open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’ 19 So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven. First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds. Show evidence of your repentance by your conduct. We must also be a be immators of Christ as Paul was (1 Corinthians 11:1). Romans 8:6-7,13 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.13For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. Without repentance and a lifestyle change you are not saved.
John 6:40 “And this is the will of him who sent me: that every person who sees the Son and believes on him should have everlasting life. And I will raise him up at the last day.”
John 8:51
Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.”
1 Thessalonians 4:3-8
It is GOD’S WILL that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, 5not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; 6and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. 7For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction is not rejecting man
but the God who gives His Holy Spirit
to you.
1 John 2:17
The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
@@2Chronicles714_ John 8:34”Jesus answered them, Truly truly I say to you that whoever commits sin, is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant does not abide in the house forever. But the Son abides forever. 36 If the Son therefore makes you free, then you are free indeed”
Read 8:51 in CONTEXT. Jesus just got done saying sin causes death, belief in Him causes life.
John 8:24”I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins.”
That’s the WORD he was speaking of in verse 51.

Jesus is the narrow gate! ❤ many many false teachers who are a babe in the Faith.
most of these false teachers likely aren't even in the faith at all.

Shame we have so many self righteous people.
The self righteous are those who think faith alone has nothing to do with striving for Holiness.
Here is my two cents for those who do not believe in eternal security of the believer. Why is one of the defense of the soldier in Ephesians 6 to put on the helmet of salvation? Answer: It is an area where the devil will attack a believer. God bless Bob Wilkin in his share.
God's love is awesome. "Nothing can separate us from the love of God". Lastly, I sin less knowing my salvation is secure by Christ alone by His faith he gives me alone. What a wonderful KING Jesus is forever. Hallelujah
@ThomasShepek "Salvation" is our take; our perspective of the forgiveness we have in Christ; nothing more. Forgiveness is a done deal. Our forgiveness is secure and sure as God is. Thanks bob I hope one day you can sit down with saldivar and have a discussion about how he is twisted up in his theology
Simple explanation of all these passages:
Christ death covered ALL our sins once we believe and put our trust in His DBR for the forgiveness of our sins. Faith by grace plus nothing for us to be saved. Eph 2:8-9, Rom 4:5
Are you saying that all of unbelieving humanity will perish during the seven years of tribulation and that only those that are saved during the tribulation who survive are left to procreate and repopulate the earth.
All the unbelievers who took the mark of the beast will perish by the end of the seven years?
So the believers in their natural body will reign with the Lord during the 1000 years? Will they perish naturally and get a glorified body to enter into eternity?

Don't need Bible verses to know more than a few professed Christians won't make it to heaven.
Hebrews 4 shines further light on what Striving to enter the narrow gate involves:
Heb 4: 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
It's about entering into his rest. We have to labour (or strive) to enter into his rest, because it's not that easy for most people to cease from their own works (or to stop trusting their own works) to enter into his rest. Most people think you have to DO something, but the reality is Christ has already DONE it, and all we need to do is REST.
Amen, great complimentary scripture!

Calvinists reject justification by faith and eternal security? Really? Since when?
I see now; he teaches "free grace" wherein good works are in no way the sign of an authentic faith, and holding to such a belief (the scriptural definition of sanctification that walks in hand with justification as part of salvation).
It's God-dishonoring carnal Christianity.
There is doctrines from Calvinists and Catholics to avoid.
@@bighand1530 Of course: Catholics preach a false gospel whereby your works contribute to your justification.
Calvinists - among others - preach the one and only gospel o of grace whereby we are saved through faith alone by grace alone.
But living and true faith is never alone: in the unbroken chain of salvation, sanctification always follows after justification.
How can a man have faith in God and continue to live as a profligate sinner, just as he did before he was given the gift of true faith? Such a creature does not exist, which is precisely why James tells us that a genuine, saving faith will always be manifested in the believer's life by works.
Calvinism is the rejection of Objective certainty that one has Irrevocable Everlasting Life short of perseverance until death in a never known - nor ever quantified (%) - level of faithfulness , obedience (works) .

Matthew 7:13-14 - Bob Wilkin
May 1, 2024
faithalone.org/grace-in-focus-articles/strive-to-enter-the-kingdom-matthew-713-14/
A reader sent in this question:
"Hello.
Thank you in advance for your response."
The Lord Jesus did refer to entering by the narrow gate in Matt 7:13-14. But the text does not mention striving. The questioner is thinking of Luke 13:24: “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.”
The reader asks a super question when he asks how to square striving to enter with other clear verses that teach justification by faith alone, apart from works (Gal 2:16; Rom 5:1).
Will those believers who survived the tribulation get a new glorified body, and if so where can I find the Scripture passage? Thank you.

It’s so ironic hearing Isaiah Saldivar try to teach on Matthew 7.
Every human being will be judged on their works. Many Christians will face eternal damnation, because they thought that nothing was required of them from God.
Scripture says:
Revelation 20:11-15
"And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
The 5 foolish virgins knocked on Jesus' door and asked him to let them in, but he rejected them.
John 3:36 Jesus said,
"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."
Heretic vs Heretic!
Ohhhhhh okayyyyy you won me. Nope just empty words with no substance to back up your claims.
Very weak argumentation to the verses mentioned by Saldivar. Looks like there is no Biblical basis for once saved always saved

If that were thew case, it means that Christ's sacrifice on the cross, wasn't and isn't sufficient for the forgiveness of the sins of mankind. That is not the message of the gospel. WE are to do good deeds, or works, but that does nothing concerning our salvation. He chooses us, and He will not abandon us, even if we aren't the best Christians. BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS, WHICH COME TO YOU IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING, BUT INWARDLY THEY ARE RAVENING WOLVES. YE SHALL KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUITS. DO MEN GATHER GRAPES OF THORNS, OR FIGS OF THISTLE? EVEN SO EVERY GOOD TREE BRINGETH FORTH GOOD FRUIT; BUT A CORRUPT TREE BRINGETH FORTH EVIL FRUIT. A GOOD TREE CANNOT BRING FORTH EVIL FRUIT; NEITHER CAN A CORRUPT TREE BRING FORTH GOOD FRUIT. EVERY TREE THAT BRINGETH NOT FORTH GOOD FRUIT IS HEWN DOWN AND IS CAST INTO THE FIRE. WHEREFORE BY THEIR FRUITS YE SHALL KNOW THEM. (Many people think you can tell a false prophet/teacher by their works but pay close attention to Christ describing them as wolves in sheep's clothing you cannot tell a false prophet by their lifestyle.)! NOT EVERY ONE THAT SAITH (Notice the fruit spoken above is what these false prophets are saying not what they are doing...also it was explained by Christ that a corrupt tree/false teacher gives out a corrupt gospel likened to corrupt fruit while a good tree/believer DOES NOT give out a false gospel) UNTO ME, LORD, LORD, SHALL ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN; BUT HE THAT DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER (and what is the will of His Father for the unbeliever Here it is please... pay close attention to these verses: Joh 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. Joh 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that everyone which seeth the Son, (Seeth means to spiritually understand who He was and is... He was God in the flesh and what He did for everyone... died for everyone) and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.) back to MATHEW... AND IN THY NAME DONE MANY WONDERFUL WORKS/ AND THEN WILL I PROFESS UNTO THEM, I NEVER KNEW YOU: DEPART FROM ME, YE THAT WORK INIQUITY. Many completely misunderstand this passage...it is saying many people ... will be at the great white thrown judgement saying these words LORD LORD...but Christ never knew them because they NEVER TRUSTED IN HIM ALONE, THEY TRUSTED IN THEMSELVES AND THEIR WORKS...THIS PASSAGE IS THE VERY DEFINITION OF A FALSE PROPHET... (Judas the Disciple that betrayed Christ was this type of person…He followed Christ all of his life He did whatever Christ Told Him to do. Looking at Judas you would say wow that is one of Jesus’s close followers…BUT JUDAS NEVER BELIEVED IN CHRIST ALONE)

He's so hyper focused on sin he is blind to basic understanding of the gospel and simple context of scripture.
He's simply warning people of the deception of living in sin.
“OnlyOneTruth” actually made fun of him for not being a holiness preacher enough because he seemed to believe in imputed righteousness

Faith that is not associated with or precedes out of repentance is a counterfeit faith.
John 10:1-5,14,26-27
Truly truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way that man is a thief and a robber. 2But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they "know" his voice. 5A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not "know" the voice of
strangers.14 Iam the good shepherd. I "know" my own and my own "know" me
26but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. 27My sheep hear my voice, and I "know" them, and they follow me.
Only those who have a changed life by repentance, and striving for Holiness are those who are Jesus's sheep and follow him.
Jesus uses the word "knows" as in an intimate way just like that word is used throughout scripture.

To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and and inheritance among those who are sanctified by Faith in me.
Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, 20but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should REPENT AND TURN TO GOD and do works befitting repentance.
Clearly they claimed they believed in God to do those works He doesn't say you trusted in your works
He doesn't say I knew you once and you later rejected me.
He says I never "knew" you (in scripture "knew" means intimately)
They never changed their minds about their sinfulled life (repented)
Of their sins as Jesus the disciples and Paul all preached They didn't have a personal relationship with Him.
They were pointing to their works as evidence they knew Him.
They believed repentance is works
God didn't know them because they hadn't been regenerated, forgiven of their sins and died in their iniquity.
Titus 1:16
They profess that they "know" God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good works reprobate.
Jesus wouldn't refer to what He commanded us to do as iniquity or lawlessness
Note: They didn't say I repented of my sins which is the first requirement for salvation.
Poieo is also in the active voice, which means that when Jesus said, “.he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter”
Jesus was saying that the individual must be performing the action.
Look! Everybody sins, air!! Saved and the unsaved!!!!!
Does the thief on the cross just get a pass on all these requirements? Jesus told the young ruler who asked him how to have eternal life to sell everything and give away the money. He told the thief on the cross 'hang tight'. How do you explain these two completely different standards for salvation?
@wtallent2224
The thief on the cross admitted he was guilty of his sins., he changed his mind (repented)
Of his sinfulled life
He said:
Luke 23:41-43
We are punished justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
[Thats Repentance]
42And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
The rich young ruler like so many wasn't willing to do what Jesus said in Luke 9:23-26
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.
Luke 14:27-35
And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.
28 Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you30saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’
31“Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king.
35It is fit neither for the soil nor for
for the manure pile; it is thrown out.
62Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”
The young ruler wanted to keep doing things his way instead of being willing to surrender to Jesus and put Him in charge of his life.
The young ruler could very well have said on his deathbed "man I was wrong to walk
away from him that day!" and repented in the same manner as the thief, and now he gets salvation AND kept his stuff! How would Jesus tell the (now old) ruler 'no' when he told the thief 'yes'?

Yikes
I’m with Isaiah on this one
He is called Saldivar, not Salvidar 😅 I guess he's wrong either way, but just so you know you got his name wrong 😄
Matt 22:37-40 (KJV)
“with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” means that the first commandment is to be obeyed under all circumstances.
Those that are sincere in their want for peace and truth are drawn to God because that is what God is, peace IN truth,
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him:…
John 6:44 (KJV)
and
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. …10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. James 4:8-10 (KJV)
This is what Jesus and the New Testament do, they teach the true meanings and principles of the laws that are in the Old Testament, “the spirit of the law”.
Being washed in the blood of the lamb means to learn and follow the true meaning of God’s laws, especially through trials and tribulations, (which is the chastisement of God, thereby showing his love for his children,
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Heb 12:6 (KJV)). That blood washing also being present for those who were sincere in their walk with God since the creation of mankind, hence: 8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Heb 13:8 (KJV)
and
58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Luke 22:20 (KJV)
that was shed for the bringing of the New Testament (true meaning to laws), this is why it said that Jesus is the only way to salvation.
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
Luke 22:42 (KJV)
And
30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. John 5:30 (KJV)
And
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
1 Cor 15:28 (KJV)
{By principle of this; 14 … For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14 (KJV)
Jesus’ life and sacrifice can be likened to less than a finger prick if he is THE God, for God is eternal.}
Take a good look at the world and you can plainly see that sin (crime) causes nothing but pain and death.
Rev 21:27 (KJV)
May God have mercy on his children. Amen
P.S.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
…
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. John 14:15-21 (KJV)
And
20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. James 5:20 (KJV)
And
8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8 (KJV)
To be saved you not only have to believe in Jesus, but you must believe his testament that he signed off on with his own blood.
John 3:36
And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.”
John 8:51
Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.”
1 John 2:3-6
And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments. 4 [IF] someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in
the truth. 5 But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. 6 Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.
1 John 3:22,24
And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.24 Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.
John 14:21
Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”
1 Peter 1:14-16
So you must live as God’s obedient children.
Here’s what it actually says
John 3:36 “The person who believes on the Son has everlasting life, and the person who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
@karent743
Same exact meaning..
Believe= to accept something as true, genuine or real
Obey= carry out a command or instruction
Saldivar is a false teacher
Because he doesn't tickle your ears.
@@2Chronicles714_ no, because he tickles yours. Keep making him rich.
@BryanLChess
I don't even follow him but from this video he is absolutely correct.
John 3:16
Isn't th gospel how could it be there is nothing about repentance nor forgiveness of sins.
@BryanLChess
Yes Acts 2 is for all unless Jesus got it wrong when He said in Matthew 18:16
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
(meaning gentiles) for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
40With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” 41Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
1 Corinthians 15:2
By this gospel you are saved, [IF] you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
If we believe the gospel that Paul preached, We will come to Christ in repentance.
Acts 17:30
In the past, God overlooked such ignorance but now commandeth all people every where to repent.
Acts 20:21
I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.
Jesus and Paul
Acts 26:18-20
To open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’
19 So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven.
First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds.
Show evidence of your repentance
by your conduct.
We must also be a be immators of Christ as Paul was (1 Corinthians 11:1). Romans 8:6-7,13 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law,
nor can it do so.13For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
Without repentance and a lifestyle change you are not saved.
