We used a randomizer to randomize our Starter Choices in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire into Mega Evolutions, reveal them by generation and then lie about one of the options! Once we both have a full team, we fight!

I think future mega battles should have a "legendary clause" where each side gets 1 point per legendary their opponent has, and points can go towards buffs on a non-legendary they own or a debuff on the opponent's pokemon. That way it sorta evens out fights this lopsided.

Luke definitely put up a good fight considering what Dylan had, but even if he had beat Dylan in the reads I don't think there was any way he was getting past that Kyogre.
I think it would be funny to together both choose 9 pokemon and then make the best team of 6 out of them without telling the other to see who has the best battling and planning skills.

I’m surprised people haven’t put the mega forms in scarlet and violet yet 😂 would be fun to see this with custom Megas
Think modding capabilities ain't quite there yet. They've added a Mega Rayquazza to Sword and Shield but it was never expanded upon and I've yet to see many or any mods at all in Scarlet and Violet
Pretty sure the stats for illegal forms actually exist in Scarlet/Violet, it's just that all of them have Pikachu models as placeholders. I seem to remember Smogon Hackmons having discussions on whether to allow those and how they would be implemented.
That said, I only recall stuff like Xerneas's unusable out-of-battle forme being discussed, so I don't know if Megas were included in that. They definitely didn't have Mega Evolution as a mechanic (as in you have to press the button to Mega) coded in.

It's impressive and kinda scary at the time with how accurate Dylan was with his guesses
Protean kyogre is honestly so op because kyogre gets decent coverage and is very bulky so even halfing its speed didnt really matter because it could just take a hit and dish an even harder hit back

unless the rayquaza had e speed and you'd won the speed tie just doing only nasty plot with houndoom could have won you'd have 50% chance to win if the kyogre was defensive

Wait, Houndoom was gen 2!? I was convinced that it was a gen 3 ‘mon.
For some reason a lot of gen 2 pokemon were only found in kanto ,include houndour which also could only be found in route7 kanto at night so it makes understandable consider how common it is in gen 3 and how rare it is in gen 2.

Gyarados would have survive the sucker punch cause fake out is stab and it only did 16 while gyarados resist sucker punch so it would only do like 8-10

Dylan could have brought in Rayquaza against the Gyarados since its only attacking moves were Earthquake (immune) and Waterfall (not very effective)
Still find it weird that Gen 6 is the generation Megas were introduced, but Diancie is the only Gen 6 pokemon with a mega. Lets hope Legends Z-A gives us some some megas from Gen 6, as well as more Gen 5 megas because Audino is the only Gen 5 pokemon with a mega as well.
