- Welcome back to In Lore and On The Tabletop. Today we'll be looking at the Astra Militarum Baneblade Super Heavy Tank, a truly ancient weapon of war and one of the oldest STCs in existence in Warhammer 40K's Imperium. Once a much more common sight on the battlefield, Baneblade super-heavy tanks are now a rarity due to the Imperium’s technological regression despite the Mechanicus’ best efforts to produce more of them.
What are these unique vehicles and how do they perform in Warhammer 40,000?

Baneblade in the lore: Mobile fortress used by tank commanders, commissars, and astartes alike to bring the emperors wrath down upon heretics and xenos
Baneblade on the tabletop: wet tissue paper that can’t move because you brought an Apocalypse unit to a 2k point game
The answer is always more Baneblades.
If you play Warhammer 40k Gladius Relics of war then yes more Baneblade is the answer
I love this tank. I have run 2 Baneblades and 2 Baneswords in 2k point games since 8th.
Man i love the baneblade
They need a heavy main gun siege bore style mortar. It would be rad. Especially if they have an open and closed rear on a gut plate. A plow blade. Or just a rocket battery standpoint. Maybe some flamers batteries as well

If my recollection is correct the baneblade during the dark age of technology was technically classified as a scout tank. If so then that just shows hiw bonkers yet awesome the lore is.
The baneblade and the other super heavy Tanks dont Show Up in the gw Website anymore are they discontinued?
No, they're just getting them repackaged for the new codex--should be back within a week or two
