290 @ 1/2 track & finished speed 341!!!!!
Well done team
@@kclark0395 so it gained barely over 50 mph in next 500 feet? So theoretical top speed ain't much higher than that
thanks Bob , for acknowledging Don Schumacher for the contributions he added to your life and what he meant to the sport of drag racing , you a a real credit to this sport !! congrads . for a great pass Bob !!!!!
Great to see the Living Nitro channel catch this piece of Drag Racing history. The reaction of the crew and of Bob when he returned to the trailer was priceless.
Wow! It has to be a hell of a rush dropping the hammer on an 11,000 hp funny car. Congrats on making history to the whole team.
Seems like everyone is having so much fun with this non nhra sanctioned race! I love it hopefully we can see a few more
Had a deep feeling 340 would come this year but this soon blows me away. Congratulations to tasca and crew.
This is absolutely astounding. Hats off to Bob
this event has been amazing!!!!! from the track, vic, the teams, drivers, sponsors, all the vlogging content from Cleetus Mcfarland, clay millican , Brent pfi, jeff lutz, Flo, Living Nitro, and all the other videos and stuff i have seen.. we need more of this style of events and the records being broken, Cleetus racing Clay in ruby aginst a top fuel dragster. just everything!!!!!!!!
It's a damn shame that houses will be built next to this track. Enjoying every minute of the Bradenton racing facilities...
same thing at green valley in ft worth, met cha cha there, thanx to BILLY for building us a world class track near by
Amazing run brother 341mph lets go!!!!
Congrats Bob and crew!!!! History made big time. Amazing
Glad I attended this event! We need to see a dozen of these races vs. Just NHRA races. Historic F/C run. Hats off to Tasca and his crew! Well deserved
Huge Congratulations Bob Tasca, his team and for the new Ford Mustang Dark Horse body 😃😃

@@LivingNitroyes well done bob putting the boot into the beast from a fan down here also a big fan of wilks 🇦🇺
Amazing ! Fantastic ! Hats off to that team!
rest in peace Don.
Well done Bob, amazing that a flopper got that speed before a rail
This video is amazing, thank you for posting this!!! I mean, when you can feel this electricity, so to speak from a video.. it just really really really shows how special it is!!! Todd and Aaron.. man oh man!!!!
Thanks Bradenton!! Great race prep and facility.
Wow. What a beast. The sound of that thing idling gave me goose bumps.
BobT. III gave an interview equal to the run! Very professional. An outstanding speaker. Note: this upstages a certain drag racing sanctioning body. Not in their series at their event. 😢 They will not hype it therefore. Just like "1st. 4 Eddie" decades ago.
Not only a driver but an excellent spokes person.
What a pass by team Tasca!! 🔥🔥🔥
I like the love he spread throughout the whole crew, so fabulous 😻 it's amazing how straight that funny car went... Holy gezus that's fast
way to capture the moment
Absolutely stunning run congratulations from the UK
Wow... I remember when the 1320 record was 338... Notice that it happened at night, which always gives some extra oomph in the cooler, denser air.
Congratulations Bob and team.
That is incredible. Congratulations
This is really good for Bradenton. Sounds like the track quality and prep has paid off. Maybe this will bring a lot more events to the track and show the town it’s a valuable revenue source, keeping motorsports alive at least in this corner of the world.
Congrats 341 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Bravo!
Drove down the track at 341 and back up on the Scooter at 34.1 😎
I kept semi-joking that there would not be 340 we would just go right to 341.. And I’m still getting chills (watched this live on Flo) as I’m typing this comment again!!
The sport is so special and unique and I’m just glad that I was able to have part of my life in the crew on small stuff to big stuff and always a lifelong fan but yeah…
…ya know, part of me wants to send a tribute to Eric Lane on this one…
Xcongrats Bob you and your crew are big heros of mine
Would love to see some other angles. I wonder if the 1kft races will be shortened again?
It's gonna be his year
. What a class act thanking the teams engineering other sponsors mentor etc.
Very impressive run.
Congrats on the new record. Well done to you and your Team
Who says nothing Good comes out of Rhode Island... Congratulations Bob ,
And those Awesome Tasca boys & Girls.
"341.68" THANK GOD
that is Awesome 😮
Schumacher is watching . AMEN ❤️
Just so AMAZING! 👍
There are some fast fricken cars this year.
Can not wait for the Woodburn season here in Oregon. Nothing like the smell, noise(music) and actual feel of the Nitro Funny cars and the Jets are a 9th wonder of the Universe. Only thing faster is the Space Shuttle, Thanks NHRA and NASA and all the race folks for good clean very extreme fun!
"WOW AN WOW" That was a first class run. "GOOD-JOB"!!!
SMART MOVE, TAKE OFF THE HEADPHONES AND FOCUS, FOCUS AND MORE FOCUS, thats the key to it all
You rock Bob.
Good job love you From Dino Mares Fontana CA
Way to kick booty Bob! Awesome!
Congrats! Come the fruit of your labor!
EPIC RUN
Good for you guys 👍
That was a killer speech
Damn it was a great run, I remember a 330 run that I witnessed in Pomona, somewhere I have a photo of it.
Bob Taska Ford... just went..341 MPH in 1/8 mile test run in coming up Gainesville FL for spring national,s. WoW 😲😳 UN REAL my Ford funny car best was ...240 mph in 1972 C C TEX IN1320 FT...1/4 mile...now they're pushing...350 mph in ..800 ft. S O B.😲😳👍☘️. Love Dad ☘️
Bamboocha 🎉 Congratulations ❤
I wonder what the mph would've been at 1320'
Would of expired by then , more than likely ( Blown up ) , not geared or tuned for 1320 👌
I’d say todays machines would be 350mph if they had had still been chasing the 1/4.
@@ScoopDaddy488 yes. Because acceleration is becoming drastically lower after 500 feet.
Congrats to tasca and team ,outstanding! You could hear the tune was on fire at idle 8 cylinders were just hammering max pressure ,just unreal!!
Congratulations to all! And how about that happening at that amazing little track BMP.
I remember when hitting 230 was a huge deal back in the 70's. I read an article in Hot Rod magazine when I was a kid. 230 was so last century.
230mph is still so fast when you think about it. 340mph is just obscene.
@@LivingNitro It's fast if you're the one in the seat when the front wheel crosses the line.
Congratulations
Scary and dangerous fast.
What was the time?
What ford motor were they running
Nice One To all That Helped 4 This to HAPPEN .and don't 4 get That Driver BOB / Greeting's From UK
That was awesome
Class act.
Congrats.
Proof again Ford's rule
What was the adjusted altitude?
Bradenton is such a great rack these days. It was just another track 30 years ago. I wonder how long it will last now that housing has been approved right next door.
It's days are numbered for sure. That's really too bad. The more tracks get closed the bigger the street racing problem grows.
@@skxj It is indeed too bad. It's just like people moving next to an airport then bitching that it's too loud. I'm tired of the capitulation. It's all about money though and housing brings more financial growth to cities and counties.
@@johnhickman106 Yes, all about the money and cramming as many taxable lots in that parcel of land as possible.
Couldn't imagine watching the graph on the computer. Reached something that will stand at least until 2025.
Freaking WOW‼️♥️🏆🏁👍🏾
I was in Seattle & saw Bernstien go 333mph 22 years ago, thought that was fast till now.
Talk about rotating the frickin’ Earth!!!
Holy reaction time Batman!
I'm curious about something. In 2008 Top Fuel and Funny cars scaled back to 1000ft, in an effort to reduce the top speeds a bit following a fatal crash (and probably to save a little nitro which is ridiculously expensive).. Presumably every official speed measured since then has been at 1000ft.. But here's the thing. When they show the time slips on the app they use at Bradenton (from various other vids over the last couple days), it shows the time for 1000ft, and then just below it time and speed at 1/4 mile. So is this 341.68mph speed at 1000ft, or 1/4 mile? If the latter, then presumably anyone who just keeps their foot in it after the 1000ft, can keep pushing that top speed up this weekend. Or is the app just displaying the speed in the wrong place, and it's actually at 1000ft?
1000’. The parachutes are fully deployed and off the throttle at the 1/4. Bradenton has a short run off.
You could hear the clutch go One to One at the 700 foot mark, the car HOOKED UP AGAIN BIG TIME..
Whas that on the 1/4 mile ore 301 meters ?
Bob , you are a legend
Sick run! How is this explained? Whats the main reason that makes the cars go faster and faster?
It's a new body on this car so perhaps an aerodynamic advantage, or perhaps track preparation. The conditions were ideal.
Sea level in February before all the humidity rushes in, and at night. Ideal indeed.
I'm old enough to remember the nickname "240 Gordie" Bonin, when 240mph in the ¼ mile was seriously moving. Wow, 341 in 1000 feet just seems impossible!
Wata RUSH 345🤺🙌
Does anyone know how a new top speed can be achieved considering the class RPM limits designed to limit speed to roughly 330?
Scoreboard was messed up by a bit on speed. Antron had a pass at 339 that was off
1000ft BTW
Insane speed even when missing 320ft
We have come SO FAR
To limit top speeds, the NHRA restricts motor RPM, Rear Axle Ratio and Tire Diameter. So how do the keep going faster?
Damn! What a run!!! Good on ‘ya Bob, for making this incredible effort happen, and to allow thousands of NON DRAG-RACING people to witness this all-American effort, and to entertain the people! Keep in mind- just by doing this one pass, and shredding the MPH record, it cost his team a LOT of $$$! This single run cost more than half of American families make in a year! However, don’t hate the racer! This is hard-earned money and time. He (or she) has sacrificed their entire lives in order to further their own version of human exploration. Drag racers live life on the edge of human achievement. This is ‘normal’ to the adventurer. This is money that the team will not recover. Please, donate and/or attend NHRA races! I cannot count how many “non-race car drivers” are still addicted to the NHRA, decades after I introduced them to the sport. (I had access to passes etc, so I fed it to them in small doses. Kinda like a drug dealer, I guess. Except they’re now taking their own children to the races….!) Anyway- thanks Bob! Great pass!
What was the et
The G force would be quite intense, so you would need practise to work your way up to that, to be able to control it while experiencing high G.
That track is truly a horsepower super track 341 mph ! Don Schumacher RIP
