You can also use these presets and a kind of free skill reset. Put one point in a skill you know you will always use. Then save the preset. When you switch to the preset it will reset all your skill points except for the one skill you saved. You can then freely change around your skills, as long as you don't save over it. If you are above lvl 57 you will need an Armstrong's skill guide or Old moon book running to clear all of your skill points to create the save. But if you do then when you get the free skill reset after your awakening/succession quest, you can always go back to your save to reset your skills. This is great when you dont have alot of skill points yet and you want to try out different skills/builds.

Wish I saw this video when I was still level 56. Lol. Level 59 witch considering succession. I was planning to grind 262 ap, and 2050 skill points. ( I'm 180 ap and have around 800/900ish skill points). Your video saved me a great deal of trouble. At least I can look at succession now and gain some familiarity and comfortability to it while keeping the things I love about awakening. Makes me like the game even more! Ive played it in the very early days of EU release and it was battle for credit cards, absolutely atrocious business model this game have. Why people play actually approve this by playing the game it self is beyond me. HOWEVER i love to watch your videos. They are very satisfying :D i guess it has something to do where you watch competent people doing things.
Eh, I think I’ll just stick with awakening. Really like being able to use both axe & Shield, and the Jordun, unleashing both storm and dragon fire upon my enemies as the situation demands. But it is nice to know that you can swap between both classes like this, will keep it in mind, lol.
Way better if you save with no skills selected . All you need is to add 1 point and save the build. In this way if you fuck up the build when you change you will get all the points back.

I'm looking to copy my UI to each preset. Know how to do that? I have a PvE Succ DK with PvE Skill Addons I have a PvP Succ DK with PvP Skill Addons The UI is perfect on my PvE DK but I don't have any skill hotbars set-up on my PvP DK. How do I do that without going thru the process again?
I used to enjoy the fact that I could change skills at will at 56 while having both awakening and succession but now that I've timepieced a toon to 61, I bypassed that opportunity, now I have to use the skill reset thingy... dang. I used to try to save it on the toons where I enjoyed Awakening a lot more. Also, TIL there are loyalty 1-day value packs... takes 2 weeks worth of loyalty though and with account deletion in '21 I still need all my character slots.
there are skill coupons and a skill reset coupon for completing your awakening and succesion questlines. What most people do is have one coupon for awakening and another for succession, then just swap whenever they want.

theres one more trick- save your succession preset and your awakening preset with NONE of skillpoint taken. :) that way you can keep using ALL your skillpoint whenever you want however you want with only 10 mins of gap. ^^ hope this neat trick helps. cheers.

I had this set up and then one patch reset my skill preset slots. So there's no guarantee that this method will be always available even if you do this.
question, im a returnee, i had saved skill preset both awakening and succesion for all my character but after logging in today, they all gone and all my saved preset went blank, now i cant switch into awakening or succesion anymore, how they do this to us returnee, now im thinking going back since it hard to get armstrong and im not paying this game anymore.

Say I only have 800 sp when I make each one of my presets (awakening and succession) and then I continue to grind for days and end up with let’s just say 100 more sp. Am I able to spend that 100 in each preset separately? Or how are the extra skill points allocated?
Hi, a very noob question maybe. For the Nova class at aweakened you can use the sting weapon that comes (succession cant). So when switching the skill to succession do you first need to uneqiept the aweakened weapon? So it doesnt cause any confic when trying you switch between succession and weakened skill everytime? Just adding this to more clarity. When you use the armstrong item it only says you can reset/change skill within 1day max. And that Armstrong event end does that man your stuck with the Skill you last used. For example if you have Nova and test succession skills but didnt like it. Bit dont change anything within 1 day! After Armstrong item expires in 1day your stuck with the Succession and cant go back to Aweakned? No matter if you use the preset 1 or preset 2 at the NPC! Whats your take on this Levi?
Presets can swap whenever you want. Make 1 for awakening and 1 for succession. Keep your weapons on at all times, 30% of your overall AP comes from your off weapon (sting or mace).
