Any plans to create more of a fire break around everything? Hopefully it won't, but if there is a fire again??

It strikes me that those bbq pits, picnic benches and cabooses (especially the bathroom) could enable hosting some fundraising parties. Band? Dancing under the stars after nightfall? Maybe on the same dates you normally would have hosted big events (continuity is powerful) or in celebration of progress like the return of 1912 or something else. I'd go for that if I were in the area. Hope you find a way forward. Also... ask for donations with every video.

Once we have a better handle on things, fundraising events are certainly a possibility. And since you mentioned it, here is the donation link:

What is the estimation for when one of the steam locomotives will be restored? Also, how did the track fare in the fires?

Some of the ties burned in the fire and some of them did not. Part 4 of the video tour will be uploaded shortly and shows the right-of-way as far as the washout. Right now, our volunteers are focusing on the grounds and facilities so that we can restore the locomotives and rolling stock but it will take time. One of the steam locos was not effected by the fire and is out of state for new boiler fabrication. We expect the 1912 to return soon but do not have a definite date when.
