When the idea of an Indie Fighter pops up, Skullgirls is among the first of the pile. Alongside the gorgeous animation and in-depth gameplay, one of the biggest draws of Skullgirls is its characters. Be it from their personalities to their unique gameplay styles, they are one of the highlights of this game. With Marie being confirmed as the final character for the first season of the Second Encore, it’s time to ask our famous question. Which of these characters are pure of heart to make a wish to get high up in our list, and which ones are just purely evil?

Eliza is selfish evil, she serves herself but has some sort of order. Black Dahlia just lives to see people die in despair she's true evil

I'm kinda surprised you ranked the Trinity&Double to be more evil than Eliza.
I mean, sure, it's still kinda vague as to what actually happened back in the days, but if you think about how it's implied Eliza's the one who killed Aeon and Venus and destroyed Lamia's ancient kingdom all for her goal of taking over the world and enslaving humanities (at least, as Samson put it), Trinity is just victims who wants to take back what they lost (tho obviously, causing destructions across the multiple timelines using Skull Heart wouldn't be the 'good' way to go about it).

And in the other hand ... Double is jsut broken heart (if she really is queen lamia ) to someone who lost her life and daughters and her people and kingdom .... Her actions is more understandable than eliza's
True it would not surprise me if the trinity or at least aeon and Venus are redeem somehow but Eliza and black dalhia are both some of the most evil people in skullgirls one wants to rule over all while other wants the spread death at this point the world of skullgirls needs a true hero one who not only wants to stop the skullgirl but also but a end the plans Eliza, Brain Drain, the Medici, and trinity for good
i havent brushed up on skullgirls lore in a while but isnt the ultimate goal of the trinity to destroy humanity with the skullheart

I'm thinking destroying the worlds subsequently weaken the boundaries between the said worlds and the 'prison' they're stuck in (Eliza killing Aeon&Venus in pretty much all of the timeline probably had that effect, or maybe the two were only 'killed' in a sense that they were removed from the physical world and banished into their 'prison'), allowing them to slip back into the world.
It was sort of directly referenced that Dahlia's 'pure' wish to drown the world with madness (thus destroying it in a sense) brings goddess closer to it, afterall.
In a way, destroying worlds is probably only their mean of achieving their goal, not the goal itself.
Why Brain Drain isn't on the list? He tried making painwheel to attack skullgirl while she was holding the tower to save people underneath it(just like Dahlia attacked Marie).
I feel like he's focusing only on the playable characters. (Excluding The Trinity!)

How has SkullGirls not gotten an anime or tv show yet it looks awesome also of I was Annie I would probably get a hobby outside of trying to take down the SkullGirl
It has a webtoon comic but it is a bit lame and sometimes boring. The Idea of skullgirls as a tv show is good, but is almost impossible to put all this characters and wait for people to love them in a few episodes
Yep that would be great to see but there's just one problem the developers had released a update that censored out alot of things fans like for years so after that Skullgirls became the lowest rated game on steam and everyone left negative reviews on it and the developers took all of that as just a pair of dirty socks in the corner not my words there words and the worst part is that Zone Toons the biggest NSFW content creator was defending the censored update
But she does have a hobby?? She has a whole TV show! I know that's still centered around the Skullgirl, but is that not a hobby?
@@ETG715 while I agree the devs aren't handling the situation in the best way possible right now, the update is basically harmless and doesn't affect the game in any way, shape, or form; It's still the same game everyone grew to know and love. Also I had an April Fools joke where the person who invented Beep-o (or whatever their name is) is Tracer from Overwatch. I was definitely on crack if I invented a theory that out of place.
This was an interesting list, I too am a fan of these games. Some of these characters I really enjoy, and one time I made my own character who was Peacock’s cousin, lost his hands, used for one of Valentine’s experiments, and was torn between keeping New Meridian safe with the Black Egrets, and being in love with Cerebella.
That kind reminds of two ocs I made well one of them was just a character concept of a artist on devientart named Jonathan braver and the other being a canceled character for skullgirls named st George one is a anti hero the other a classic hero but have the same goal put a parement end to the plans of Eliza, Brain Drain, The Medici, Black Dahlia, and The Trinity
Their are a lot more characters that should be added to the list like fighters that are plan to be added or those who make big impacts
i played cerebella's story mode recently and i was surprised she was in fact not a good person,
yeah she's not skullgirl evil but being a member of the medici's a group in which most story mode campaigns feature as the bad guy. but i can't really complain cause finishing the story mode gave us that succulent ending cutscene of cerebella in a bunny outfit
the point is shes brainwashed into thinking the medici are the good guys, as are many people in the city. even after killing ms fortune, who wanted to kill her entire adoptive family she showed regret

SkullGirls: Dumb to Brilliant
So, you include the Skull Heart, the Medici and the Trinity on this Good to Evil list, but you don't include Brain Drain? Yes, he's not a playable character, but neither are the members of the Trinity. And not to mention, Brain Drain played a big role in the creations of both Painwheel and Robo-Fortune, and he was shown to be willing to torture and experiment others to complete his overall goals. Plus, his presence was a constant torment towards Painwheel, essentially driving her further and further into madness into making her a monster capable of destroying the Skullgirl. And if Painwheel fails, Brain Drain just desposes her without a seconds thought.
If anything, Brain Drain should've been somewhere in the Evil Category. Yes, his intentions did involve the destruction of the Skullgirl, but with how he was willing to go through extreme lengths to do so, well, let's just say there comes a time where live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
I mean, we already knows he's evil, so is there really a point in adding him to the list?😅

Or, if that's not a good enough answer, how about the fact that Brain Drain plays an important role in the Skullgirls universe?

It makes sense to add the Rabbids in the grey area due to their actions in the rayman raving Rabbids titles

Dr. Avery should’ve been in the list even though he’s not a playable character he’s still extremely plot, relevant, and a good guy in my opinion

Huh, fair and valid points and opinions, a pretty well done lineup, though it seems like you mostly just did all of the Playable Characters for this List, which is fine I guess, those are the ones we know the most of and we don’t really know that much about any of the other Characters introduced throughout the Games,

Curious, where did you find the old cutscenes and marie scenes in the peacock segment? ive been look for that old skullgirls content forever, i need more elaborate lore, like... i didnt know Patricia and Marie were slaves to the Medici, and Patricia took the brunt of the agony for Marie. I wanted to know if Marie though Patricia was dead, and their reaction to seeing each other again will feel so much better. it's like in skullgirls second encore, Peacock already knows that marie is the skull, while in the comic she literally ended the fight because she realized it was her. Details. i need the details
i know some of those scenes come from the Skullgirls mobile. It has a "Origin" story mode to some of the characthers

Well that explains BD fight with BB. I always got the vibe they were 2 sides of the coin, but until you ranged all these characters it never hit me just how opposite they truly are to one another. Two old cyborgs that escaped death, with the one defining difference being, how their near deaths effected their character.
