Lol good question, the real answer is that I’m not the biggest fan of making male characters like I’m not the best at it, but for the story the moss ppl are all intersex/ some where non-binary. Fun fact Faye is actually non-binary, so that’s how the moss ppl reproduce.
While the witches they had a room where it’s filled will cell like pods in the wall (they’re the size of a yoga ball) where the witches who wanted to have kids they’d put a bit of their blood in the cell like pod, where then the source crystal will put a little bit of magic/energy in the pod, the blood and magic would mix causing the cells of a fetus would start growing, hence why witches can use magic
