I mean, they’re the only 4th gen girl group that has reached the likes of BlackPink. Not only that, but NewJeans is HUGE in the west. They have achieved so much in such a short amount of time, compared to most groups which would take them years.

yeah also unfortunately Itzy's songs have been really hit or miss. Personally I like some of their stuff but New Jeans and Le Sserafim both hit a certain lvl with their sound that Itzy has unfortunately very rarely has come close to.

But their diehard hardcore fanbase is not as established as some others that have been in the industry longer. Regardless, their album sales are still crazy good, their viewership seems very authentic as well, they're perfectly fine

Itzy' stability is absolutely absurd. They have never left top3 for almost 30 months. (2020-2022) despite other new shiny groups debuting. Truely monstrous and they are still able to hold their ground even when these new amazing groups are the talk of the town.

Yeah you nailed it. Was looking for this comment. Their hype was highest right when they debuted and only sort of went down (very slow) over time. Where as most other groups started nugu and ended up working their way up eventually. They had all the type and the company fumbled them.

International fans support groups that are from big companies as of right now like JYP,YG,SM,Starship,HYBE and more. The company high up is made by a guy who was a producer for JYP. I understand that high up isn’t the only one but, seeing it happening live is what I am talking about. I have been supporting Stayc since the ASAP era, that’s really when they got out of their nugu era. And now I see them in shows, their songs being high on charts. It’s like I watched the group grow. Maybe it being impressive was dramatic but in my opinion it is impressive since most groups from underrated companies don’t make it. high up isn’t the only one who came from “ rags to riches” but for me seeing them grow every year feels special to me.

They are the only 4th gen to enter melon top10 songs for the year 2019 and were even 2nd place surpassing bp and twice and were only behind bts. Not only did they survive, but they also THRIVED.
