I am against racism and I hope that racism will really disappear from this world.

I've been here in Japan for almost 2 years and I can hardly speak nihonggo but Japanese people have been so good to me. They know how to appreciate you if they see you're doing a good job. They often give me gifts, food, drinks and chocolates. I really love Japan..
Calling someone Chinito is not an insult or to make you offend. We call chinito as a cute asset of that person. Actually, there are so many Filipinos who are Chinito. 😊
In the Philippines, being tagged as "chinito" means cute because of their eyes, like Kim Chiu being "chinita" and other Chinese descent. When I was in elementary, I had a lot of friends who had chinito crushes. But I understand how the act 10:55 can be offensive especially in the west.

Skin color, body shape, the things you do. Wherever we go there;s always discrimination. So whoever reads this. Be the first one to erase that mindset. Leave people alone and stop judging everything they do. I appreciate fumiya making this video and making us aware. Lived in japan but never experienced discrimination... Japanese are very warm and welcoming people ✨ it's just so sad to know na may ganitong instances pala for other filipinos sa japan. Napakaimportante din naman kasi na marunong ka na magnihonggo before you decide to live and work sa japan... But sadly, Discrimination is everywhere.
There are Japanese people who even discriminates Filipinos in the Philippines. They look down on Filipinos and treat them as second Class. Of course not all but people like that General are not doing well in Japan so they move to the Philippines and live as if they extravagant life. Thanks to the exchange rate.

@@fizkallnyeilsem I think it also depends on the individual. I’ve met at least 100+ Japanese people and at least most of them are courteous and polite. There are ignorant people in Japan just like the rest of the world including the Philippines.
It's been awhile since I've watched your vlogs. It's my first time seeing the other guys. This was a fun video. Nice edits too. When I was in Japan, the people there were totally approachable. I remember when I was buying a drink and I did not understand the labels. There were like Japanese college girls who helped me and translated the labels for me. When we got lost as well, we frequently ask someone for help and even though they don't speak english they really tried to help us. It's a nice country and I hope I could go back there and have a longer vacation. ❤❤❤

I don't know why Filipino people make fun of each other just b/c some Filipino people look Japanese and Chinese, let alone making fun of Japanese and Chinese people. I have Filipino relatives and friends who look literally Chinese and Japanese, while I have seen other Filipino people with big round eyes and who look straight up Southeast Asian. I understand that going back over 1,500 years of Philippine history, ppl from India, Indonesia, and Malaysia introduced Hinduism, Buddhism, Baybayin, and the Laguna Copperplate Inscription to the Philippines, while the Japanese and Chinese immigrants came to the Philippines as merchants/traders. Because of that, these immigrants intermarried with the Filipino people, which makes sense why some of my Filipino relatives and friends and other Filipino people look Japanese and Chinese (Jose Rizal was also of Japanese and Chinese descent btw), while some Filipino have big round eyes and look straight up Southeast Asian. But for the Filipino people with big round eyes making fun of Filipinos who look Japanese and Chinese, or the Japanese and the Han Chinese themselves, is wrong and racist. We are all Filipino people deep down, and just because some Filipinos may have Japanese and Han Chinese ancestry, or who happen to have East Asian features, is what they were born with. So Fumiya, don't feel bad about being made fun of having "Chinito" eyes, b/c I myself have Filipino relatives and friends who also have "Chinito" eyes as well. 😊

We say chinito or chinita as a compliment actually. But I think the offensive part is that stretching the eyes while saying chinito.. usually we don't do that, I don't know why others do it when In fact it is well known that doing that is insulting esp in other countries. But just saying chinito is like describing you have cute eyes.

Truth is, if we’re not a native/local in any country we might experience discrimination. Maybe because we’re not fluent in their language or we have an accent. Pero matalino, madiskarte at magaling makisama ang mga Pinoy kaya madali tayong makapag-adjust kahit saan tayo dalhin. 💪🏼🙏🏼👍🏼
