    Finally someone did a Deftones vid with the new JMP Preamp in Amphub! Sounds killer too man! If you've ever watched Sonic Drive Studio's video on the AXE FX tone, the Ownhammer IR NAILS it. Cheers!

    Late comment, but I think (at least live) that dist/clean tone was done by Chino or Steph using a Sparkle drive (tube screamer clone) the sparkle drive has a blend knob that you can blend a driven and clean pass through sound, and chino had it in his board at that time.

    There are a lot of octave in the Self-titled, specially in Hexagram ! The main riff: -02xx00 2x4 -4x6x00 -5x6x00. The 2nd riff is also mainly octave. You don't sound like Deftones if you play power chords like you do.

      Haha, first I need to figure out how to do that. I can export out the Impulse from MIKKO, but no idea on how to capture the amp tone as well. If you got suggestions, let me know

      When you install Mikko make sure to tick the AAX option so that t installs the ProTools plugin.

    7:55 that’s just chorus and flanger? No reverb? Which pedals do I use to make it sound far away?

      Yeah for the tone no reverb. To push it back in the mix I adjust the volume fader and sometimes you a tad but of reverb.

    Hey kinda new to the amp sim thing. could I incorporate my Boss SD1 pedal to bounce back and forth between the heavy and clean tones if im playing with some friends and not using recording software?

      Are you using the SD1 as a Drive and not a Boost? Depends how heavy you want to go. If you looking for hi gain the SD1 may be a bit lacking

      What multi effects are you using? If there is a way that you can split your signal going to two different signal paths then you can do it that way.
