    A lot of guys now pressurize the tank though the fuel tank vent. Saves hand cramping if you have several to do in a night when it's -20c

    It it possible to back feed fuel with a 12 volt pump through the fuel pump return line and crack the fuel line nozzle nuts or pressurize the pump ? I have no experience with refrigerated trailers .

    • @shafferrobtrucking4075
      @shafferrobtrucking4075  Před 9 měsíci

      It may be possible...but i do believe you would actually be better off just doing it the designed way. Safe travels!

    Also you want to do long stroke pumps in order to get a real suction on the fuel system. These short strokes are just to build the jerkoff muscle in your arm. Work smarter not harder

    • @shafferrobtrucking4075
      @shafferrobtrucking4075  Před 2 lety +1

      These have 1 inch throw valves..so 1 inch is all you get for the stroke. Appreciate the comment though.

      @@shafferrobtrucking4075 yeah and u were pumping half an inch at best. Cut down the manual labor and start getting back on the road easier. U need long strokes for the most suction in a fuel system or any pump

      Generally its 50-250 pumps before you feel the hand primer getting stiff. Once its stiff make sure to screw the hand primer back into the chamber or you'll risk blowing out the seals and sucking in air. (Reefer tech for 5 years here)
