Wow. I've been watching every CZcams video under the sun, and had zero luck. I had even lined up buying a new one since I had lost all hope trying to fix mine, BUT then I found your video. I have a larger machine with a water tank that is not easy to remove, and so I was skeptical. My reluctance to spend another $300 prompted me to give it a try. One small tilt yielded a few air bubbles. 8-10 more times and I'm back in business - Many thanks - you are a genius!!

Thank you so much!! You just saved me hours of frustration and disappointment. I had to do the pumping and releasing air bubbles several times before the bubbles ceased. At that point it wasn’t quite drawing water in so I took the air bag option you mentioned and tried to press it in on top of water as it pumped. The bag quickly popped but apparently it created just enough pressure for the water to get past any remaining air.
Again, thank you! Me without espresso is a terrible thing to behold.

You just saved me almost $1000 (Canadian) dollars. No low pressure water on my five year old machine and no Breville service available within 1000km. Your very simple solution (on the Nespresso model!) worked first time. That this simple solution is not on any Breville documentation implies to me that Breville are happy to see machines thrown out in the junk pile because of a simple air lock. VERY bad PR for the company is these "Right to Repair' days.
