Maybe I am an unusual mom but I find this content absolutely riveting! I can't wait to start teaching my kids to read using these methods.

Thanks for putting out LOGICAL rather than Illogical English Training! It makes NO sense to keep telling kids to "guess" or to look at the pictures and to try and figure it out, when we CAN DECODE English! All "sight words" are decodable, we decode them in the program I use (Sing, Spell, Read & Write) and we decode them in the LOGIC OF ENGLISH. We have to just learn the phonemes and graphemes, FIRST then we can decode the words.

Hi, I have watched all of your videos of the teachers training playlist. It helped me a lot and so I'm expecting with these new videos. I'm a non-native English teacher and trying to help people around me to learn English without getting frustrated because of the so-called "exceptions". Nowadays, I'm working on decoding nouns like, names of colours, names of vegetables, part of the body, my family and so on, which is expected from our kindergartners to memorise by heart.
Your channel is a great help.💐
    Waiting for the next part.

hi, got stuck with something. How would we teach children to use SC and SK blends? I know the soft c rule very well but what about the words like skunk or skate? Shouldn't a C be here?

@@deniseeide8245 I have used your The Science of Reading video and the Logic of English Presentation in my courses. I teach Foundations of Reading, Reading Practicum and Reading Methods. I've recommended your book and website to all of my students. I recently recommended your 3 part video series on Eliminating Rote Memory as well. :-). I plan on incorporating using Phonograms lesson 1 next semester. (Speaking of phonograms, my understanding, from your book, is that it is another word for grapheme, however in another text it was defined as "a nonlinguistic term for rime". Would you clarify?). THANK YOU for your work! As a 26-year veteran teacher, I sure do wish I knew then what I am learning now!

@@Dollydo15 Yes a grapheme and a phonogram are the same. Phonograms and graphemes are the smallest written unit and represent a single sound. Thank you for training the next generation of teachers!

Wouldn't there only be three phonemes in bell, /b/ /e/ /l/, then we would use four graphemes to spell bell?
