The opening sequence was fantastic; Sound sets were a bit iffy, but at the end of the day I thought it was not too bad a soap. I think it's a shame we don't have Eldorado back again - I miss it very much. They could continue - Thanks for uploading it - must get my Videos out again...

Big mistake axing it just because it had a shaky start. EastEnders was a bit rough in the beginning. It could easily still be on today. It's better than Emmerdale! There seemed to be a lot of age gap stories. Don't think the story about Bunny (a 50 something man), shacking up with a 17 year old did the show any favours.
Was the boat at the end called Jonathan in homage to Jonathan Powell the former BBC 1 Controller who was responsible for commissioning Eldorado? I still have that Adios video somewhere in my loft. It did get better, although I did not watch it back in the day.

It was a great show dealing with the problems of living in a diaspora for British ex pats. Just think of Drew Lockhead's dilemma over disliking the local paella; 'at's gat all bits in at!'

They're also moaning because none of them can find a job over there, and the villas they sank their savings into at peak rates are now worthless since the Spanish economy tanked.
It wasn't that bad and much better once they cleared out the drivel characters. Your character (Blair) and Drew were always up to no good and provided plenty of amusement. Bet you don't miss that moped or trips to Tandy's "health club".
From what i hear all the ex-pats ,who left Britain to get away from immigrants ,now spend their time complaining about the Spanish.But are they now not immigrants themselves?
