Thais mourn King Bhumibol Adulyadej

- Large crowds of Thais gathered at Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok on Thursday evening to mourn the passing of Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
The 89-year-old king passed away earlier in the day.
The crowds cried and chanted slogans as they mourned the king in front of the hospital building.
"I hope that the king will go to heaven and that I can be his subject forever," said one mourner.
"My heart is broken. I want to go together with him. I love him very, very much. I do not know how to express in words," said another mourner.
"He was very tired and can finally rest. Every subject loves the king deeply because he made sacrifices for all of us. I swear I will be his subject forever," said a mourner.
"I love the king very much. He devoted everything he had to the Thai people over the last seven decades. I cannot accept [that he passed away], but now he can rest in peace," said another mourner.

I was born in Thailand, but not a Thai citizen. Even so, I still considered him my king. Yes, my heart is also broken like the rest of the Thai nation. 🇹🇭
As a foreigner living in Thailand at that time, I can say their love and grief are genuine and pure.
Even many foreigners were in deep grief then

He only stopped working for his country and people when he could no longer move. He just kept going on and on to the very end. That's how much he cared and that's what made the Thai people look to him and his wife as their father and mother. The world would be a much better place if its leaders could learn from and follow his example!
Everyone should look up to and take an example from Bhumibol and use him as their role model!
Thais did love their king. This is truly devoted people. My condolences, is very sad.

Phrà Phumiphon Adunyadet is truly a remarkable King of Thailand who selflessly work for the benefit of the Thai people even countries of the world follows some of His Majesty's work.
King Rama lX "The Great" was the Heart and Soul of Thailand. When he passed, the grief was overwhelming. I live in Thailand, and yes I cried too.
