They made it a 4.6 V8 petrol from 2012 on in Australia, the 5.7 was only in the US and Middle East.
Also, why did you personally go for the petrol over diesel?
    Cheers

Hi Amir, you are right I assumed that they would have used the LX570 5.7l v8 in the Land Cruiser, I didn’t do my research right.
The reason for choosing the Petrol over the diesel was mainly the price difference, and in Australia they can be as much as a 10k difference in price for a similar mileage cars. So is the diesel really worth it for a family car that you are not intending to tow anything with? I am not sure if it is worth paying the higher price. The only over reason to choose diesel over the petrol is fuel economy, but to be honest diesel prices are tending to be higher then petrol nowadays (in Australia) so it might come pretty similar.
I would like to hear your thoughts on which one you might chose and why? 🤔
I hope you enjoy the review and thanks for correcting me about the engine, thanks for your comment!

@@AusPov Hi mate, I live in Aus too, except in Brissy. Personally I’d choose the 4.6 petrol as the 4.7 has less power and uses more fuel being an older engine, and needs timing belt changes VS the 4.6 which is chain driven. I wouldn’t choose the diesel as they have lots of problems such as the airbox dusting, injectors, alternators and starter motors being in a really bad location towards the bottom of the engine and needing a torque converter lockup kit as they won’t shift into 6th gear unless you’re doing at least 105km/h, which in a country like ours most of our highway speeds are 100 so it ends up using more fuel thanks to the higher revs. As you mentioned with diesel, I agree as where I am on average it’s like $1.90 - $2.00 a litre, so basically with the diesel you pay more for fuel vs petrol where you fill up more often, so cost wise it evens out imo. Nice car btw, love the VX’s and Sahara’s, they drive like a dream.
      Cheers
      Amir
