I auditioned for GSA (Guildford School of Acting), LSMT (London School of Musical Theatre) and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts before summer. It was a really interesting process and I thought it may be useful to share for anyone else intending to audition at any of these schools!
While I was only auditioning for Masters courses, some of the information is applicable for Bachelors courses too (for GSA we auditioned with the BA callbacks).

hey thanks so much, were they jazz technique?
At both GSA and Mountview when we were just doing technique it was all Jazz technique, but the routines aren't always Jazz. GSA was a more contemporary piece with a big emphasis on acting through the dance, while Mountview was very cheesy Jazz. I have heard other people say they had different styles though so I would not bank on it being the same as I had!
How long did it take you to hear back from LSMT ?? Had my audition today!! xx

Jaye Fordham I’ve been working my butt off to pay for auditions and so far I’ve only auditioned for Mountview and LSMT, it is expensive!! :( I would definitely recommend saving up and auditioning there if you can though because it was so nice and welcoming!! xx
I'm afraid I don't remember exactly and they only sent out emails if you got in (I think) so I don't have any way of looking it up. From memory it was quite quick though, I believe within two weeks? And that was allowing time for the post, so if they do send emails for callbacks then it should be quicker!

Ellie Broomfield ive paid an audition for mountview and GSA and sent off an application to central. when/how to mountview contact you about audition dates? and i’m going to audition for LSMT but just the fees in general for the course are so expensive x

Oh damn! I think last year I applied around this time and got one mid April, had assumed it would be the same this year. Looks like I need to get my skates on and get that application done asap!
