Makunudhoo Maldives - Marine Education Programme

The school term has just started, in Makunudhoo, North Maldives, so our team are very excited to begin their marine education programme in the local school.
So far 268 students from 7 schools in the Maldives have taken part in our Moodhu Maadharusaa programme (meaning ocean school in the local language Dhivehi).
The programme teaches students about marine ecology, habitats, megafauna, and conservation.
It’s not all about classroom theory though…our team take the students out snorkelling on the reefs so they can experience what they have learnt first-hand, and gain confidence in the water.
