So many great ways to earn miles that most people don't take advantage of. Thanks for sharing, I feel AA is not talked about much. Great vid Michael💥
Thanks Mike! And I agree! I’m selfishly okay about it because the award availability and award prices are still nice and relatively open. But definitely plan on making some videos about the program!
Great information! Thank you so much!
You’re welcome! I’m glad it was helpful!
Great information!
Thank you! Glad it was helpful!
Great info.
Thank you, hope it was helpful!
Love reason # 5 😂
Great ways to earn points especially with expenses like gas, electricity, etc.
Might as well gain a little something from it!
🙌🏽 So true! Every dollar counts!
I open a new AA card every 6 months...Citi Business, Barclay's Business, Citi personal, Barclay's personal...rinse and repeat...hundreds of thousands of points so far and I am Plat Pro.
🔥🔥🔥 I got to Gold and half way to platinum and I haven’t flown American in over a year so I stopped getting so aggressive. I think I plan on getting another AA card once companion pass season ends
Earning miles is different than earning loyalty points toward status. Do you guys earn status by just earning miles not loyalty points ?? I thought it was 1 loyalty per $ spent.
@@seank.461 10/10 question, I wanted to include this in the video but didn’t want to make it too long and confusing for those not interested in status.
Of the methods I talked about here’s the breakdown of which earns points -
How to earn loyalty points:
Simply Miles
Credit card spend
Dining portal
Shopping portal
Base spending on travel purchased through AA: Cruises, hotels, rental cars
Flying on OneWorld partners
Energy partners
Shell Gas’s Rewards
Rocket Miles (base)
Hotel Partnerships (base) I.e. Hyatt
Things that don’t count:
Shopping/dining portal special lump sum bonuses
Sign up bonuses
Transferring points/miles
Bask Bank earnings
Bonuses from vacation packages
Basically anything with “Bonus” in the name likely will not count towards Loyalty points. But you should get loyalty points based on the base spending on things through travel portals.
I personally got to gold with CC spend and lot of shopping portal purchases
I'm so curious about how you manage to do this because both Citi AND Barclays are known to be more sensitive to inquiries and velocity... aren't they?
Sorry for the newbie question, but how does this work? Do you cancel each card after a year or so? How long do you wait to apply for a previous card?
Just a heads up: American Airlines partnership with BILT is ending in June, new partner is also in the OneWorld Alliance: Alaska Airlines.
Thanks for adding! Im so bummed about it I just got a Bilt card the day before it was announced 😂
I got approved for mine a couple days before it was announced as well actually 😂 L but mainly got it for funneling points into IHG and Hyatt
@@blademasterzero5295 that’s fair, I’ll probably be mainly using it for Hyatt as well and whenever their rent day bonuses make sense for me! But I liked the idea of being able to transfer to American 😂
