The Souls are in what appears to be a train station with a train that shows up while the souls are dancing. Perhaps a reference to "Soul Train" since the dancers are wearing 70s era clothes?

@@kylecook9174 I'm gonna have to watch it again. I think there was a mention by Ortho to that effect, but it would make sense if Beetlejuice turns out to be something else. It makes sense of the summoning, too not to mention the connection with the Star Betelguise as seen in the flyer in the first film.
He seemed to have some powers that the Maitlands didn't, so it kinda makes sense he wasn't just any other ghost.
You missed the Batphone on Beetlejuice’s desk. You mentioned it but clearly didn’t really notice what it was.
The sandworms are from Saturn hence Saturn sandworms. You also missed the door that Beetlejuice drew in the shape of a bomb to access the afterlife
The shark fin I think is for the sand worm creatures from the first film.
I also feel the name of the movie indicates there will definitely be another sequel called Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
I’m thinking the trailer is misleading us. When Astrid said “Betelgeuse” the 3rd time it sounds exactly how she said it the 2nd time so it could just be a sound byte. Betelgeuse seems to appear in front of Lydia without Astrid with her and in that same scene he says “I’m gonna make you so happy!” So she probably asked for a favor.
Yes I noticed that too. Astrid prob teased her but never said it a 3rd time. Lydia calls on him and that’s how he appears make sense as to their wedding happening again 💒

One thing I've not seen anybody mention is how it seems Lydia's daughter died. She has dark bags under her eyes in the scenes where she's in the afterlife. She also mentions at the beginning how living seems difficult. Could be why Lydia was desperate and called Beetlejuice.

@@mjung7331 look at 1:15 on the newest trailer. She has dark circles under her eyes, like she is dead, while seeming shocked as she enters the afterlife. They show her saying Beetlejuice 3 times on the trailer, but I think she isn't actually the one to call him and they're just trying to throw us off.

Yea that's the kind of fan/nostalgia service that I don't like because it then seems forced and corny. We as fans WANT Winona Ryder/the character Lydia to return but I'm also pretty sure us fans would've been ok with an updated Lydia look as well because most people change their styles overtime. Not everything has to be the same. I had the same problem when Mark-Paul Gosselaar returned to the new updated version of Saved by the bell back in 2020 wearing a terrible obvious blond wig that looked terrible on him. In the original series his character Zack Morris was known for having blonde hair but since the original series ended the actor changed/outgrew that hair color so when he returned I was thinking to myself why couldn't they let him wear the hairstyle and color that he has now it's natural and looks way better on him then that wig. As long as it's the same actor that's all that should matter.

It would be nice to see the Maitland’s but I think they moved on from this world to the hereafter. For they had help get rid of him so and protected Lydia from his intentions.

But you didn’t elaborate on why the married couple aren’t in the sequel. According to an interview, they stated that both actor would be using de-aging technology to try to maintain the same appearance from the original movie (since ghosts aren’t supposed to age) but the production and director just opt out of the idea and leave them out of the movie 🎥
I'm certain neither of them wanted to do it. Alec Baldwin has all but retired from acting since that whole gun death on set incident from the western he was making. Box office poison now. Besides, no amount of digital de-aging is going to be able to make either of those actors look the same age they were in 1988.

There is a lot of Nightmare before Christmas similarities with the new cast... hmmm? Frist the women stitched looks like Sally, Beetle Juice and Jack have the same stripped outfits, there was also a Halloween clip with kids in costumes. Both movies are Tim Burton Films so he could have mix both worlds together. Side note is that Cathrine O'Hara was also the voice for Sally in Nightmare Before Christmas.

During the wedding scene in the first movie, when Beetlejuice says "Shall we?" than Lydia is shown in the red dress gliding on the floor to Beetlejuice. In the sequel, even though its a small clip, Lydia is wear a red dress and gliding on the floor like in the first movie. SO could this be like "Shall we continue?" moment where Beetlejuice tried to marry Lydia for a second time?

I enjoy all his films but would be lying if i said his more modern films have captured the same magic his earlier movies did. So, in a movie about ghosts, and the afterlife, everyone assumes that since there is a funeral that means that the pervert Jones will not be in the movie?! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think he should be allowed to be in it or any other movie. But, how does a funeral prove he won’t be in it? I wouldn’t be surprised if he actually shows up as a ghost. In fact that was probably the plan before the backlash of fans. Let’s not forget that he was in Deadwood during and after his conviction. So assuming he won’t be in it because his character died seems a silly jump in logic.
One question: Where are the Maitlands?

Alec Baldwin hated his character in the first movie because Adam was too goofy of a character and refused to return for the sequel. Gina Davis politely declined returning for unknown reasons. It will be interesting how the sequel addresses the Maitlands being absent and why we don't see a ghost version of Lydia's father.

Looks like the suicided cilvi servants are done away with.,(one of my fave things about the film) as they can’t have depicted or have fun with the visuals of suicided cilvl servants due to what todays studios like to think they know what audiences sensibilities are.
ALOT of the original movie would not fly w/ today’s sensitive audience. The suicide talk and imagery, the child bride marriage etc
@@vjimenez8 I think it’s more the idea the studios have in their own heads and their own fears for the damage to its reputation, they think it would cause if they allowed stuff like that out now. But Honestly I think the audience wouldn’t really care and are tired of seeing creativity being curtailed over things that are solved by going into a movie theatre, switching off and suspending your disbelief.
Oddly It never seems to be a problem for the studios when they’re glamourising drug use and gun violence.
