Drooling over how beautifully the Juki sews 🤤🤤🤤. Boxing the bottom corners would be a nice touch; easier to get into the bag 🤔. Nice work!
Your work has inspired me, too, and my first set of leather working tools arrived today and I can't wait to get started. Please keep showing these awesome videos!
Just a awesome video Parker. My wife loves that bag! Thank you for sharing your craft and art work.It just amazes me.Slim.
great work. You should look into using the eco weld glue from Italy. Works like 90% as well as contact cement, but way better for you to breathe. It literally looks and smells like elmers glue, but holds surprisingly well, even on oily leathers. More than strong enough for the purpose of holding the leather just until you get it stitched.
Parker, your videos are so well thought out and a pleasure to watch. Especially the little things like pulling the various tools off the rack and the spools of thread. You've got such an efficient style of movement that is so professional and fun to watch. Love your channel and look forward to you getting "smellivision" so we can smell all that gorgeous leather! 😊 Thanks, man, all the best to you!
Thank you for posting videos.
I'm from Indonesia and I'm starting to try working on leather, and I'm learning so much from your channel.
Thank you so much, I'm subscribing for the rest of my life
Parker, great vlog. Perfect timing, making my wife a tote this weekend.
Loved seeing a ladies tote made, Parker! If you’re looking for content, I’d LOVE to see a little about designing templates on the computer. I’ve wasted some good leather trying to work a pattern out. My OCD got the better of me. Keep up the great inspiration and thanks for sharing the knowledge!
I love this type of crossbody bag. I love the size and the leather😍😍
I'm new to the channel and to leather working but watching what you do,I'm inspired to try more than knife sheaths. Looking forward to more great content. Peace out from Canada!
I really like how you add all the tools used in the description with links. We have a Tandy down the street from us. Thanks
My wife and I enjoy your videos very much - they are addicting :)
Michael from Canada
It was your videos that I got me started in leather craft! Keep up the good fight! My wife already wants me to attempt to make this Bag! I’m not ready!
Great video! Like how you show the reality of making a new item - “forgot those dog leads”. Also, kudos for involving your family in your workday.
Love all the new Tandy tools
Your videos make me really excited, and I'd like to develop some skills and empower myself with your videos. You are Rad!! Bless you and your Family.
lol Turning those bags right side out is always a workout. Your bag looks great!
Awesome video. I like the one offs that you do. You could always auction off these one off products. I'm sure people would love to have something unique from Stock & Barrel.
Great video...as usual..!! Love your bag!! A couple of suggestions from a bag making lady, I would make it just a little bit larger and also I would box the corners to give it some depth. “Birthing the bag” is always the hardest part...LOL!! I love the leather you used for this project ♥️
Needs some side panels IMO
Wider with a couple darts in each side to cup the bottom of the bag would still keep it a slim style with a wee bit of room
It's a lovely mini cross body - I agree with the others about making it a bit larger and adding darts towards the bottom. The area of accessibility allowed by the zipper looks a little tight - it's much more comfortable to be able reach in and grab things without having to contort your hand. Maybe adding width to the top and def. extending the zipper. But it's a great experiment, I can't wait to see what else you try out :)
Gracias amigo. Bonito y útil. Me gustó el proyecto. Felicitaciones.
Love to watch your videos. I make knife sheaths, belts and a few possible bags etc. just for a hobby. You have a great way of connecting with those who watch your channel. Keep up the good work. Ray, Oklahoma
Absolutely love your No.55 can't wait for it to restock and and planning to get a No.52 soon and for faster loading times on mobile you could use tinypng to compress you photos
Hey Parker, great video. Looking forward to the next as I enjoy watching them. Thank you.
Thank you:) Glad to have you here!
I'm just learning and barely even started making my own works at 40 years old. It's nice to see the steps involved. personally i would've liked to see some liners put in, but this was for the experiment not the product line. The ten basic tools video was the most helpful thing for me, the last time i did leather work was 25 years ago, some of my tools were long outdated. this has been great for learning and your videos have been very helpful. Thank you! If i could make a single request i would like to see an apron made with a purpose of accessories pockets.
Your creation are very beautiful !! congratulations for your job
A little tip I picked up when I started making leather tool bags and sewing them inside out as you did. Take the end of a broom stick and put it in a vise and use it to fold the leather right side out. It works a lot better than trying to do it by hand.
Gorgeous bag
Love your videos and YOUR enthusiasm! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Thanks so much Debbie:)
Dam you are just so dam likeable. Stop it! Great work man, I always enjoy seeing your videos because your passion and determination is so evident in them all. Thanks for keeping it real!
Great video. I want to do something similar for my wife and daughter but I’m sewing by hand.....gonna take forever!
Love watching your guys channel! Super inspiring to watch. I wanted to ask, how to you finish the bags to treat them for sale? Waxes, Protectants, sprays, etc.? What’s the best way to protect the leather?
Very cool video! Such a cool skill to know how to do! Great work!
Great video! Looking forward to the next one.
Absolutely beautiful.
Loved it. Thank you.
Love your bags😍
Love watching you! You are a hoot!
Awesome Job. Thanks for the video's.
I would totally pre order your bag if it becomes available!! Looks very good quality and it would last longer and age better than Madewell's cheaply-made plastic-like Transport tote.
I love it I want one!!!
Bendiciones grandes!!! Esta exelente!!! muy bonita bolsa preciosa me gusto!!!
I love the gold foil embossing on the bag it gives it a real nice professional look do you have any recommendations on a brand of foil or where to get it
Just found your channel and it's very good. I like it because your workmanship is very good and your style is very good! Some channels start out talking too much before they begin. I also like your machines and tools You bet I will be watching more videos. As a matter of fact I am going to right now Thanks.
Nice and simple design like it 👌
Hi I liked your stuff and thank you for shared your work, described your channel from TW. Cheers!
Well color me fn jealous! Look at this guys gear!
Awesome work Parker, love your channel!
Thanks for contributing to the live chat! You're awesome:)
Stock & Barrel Co No problem :)
Loved the video. I’ve found that using a broom handle or wooden dowel helps with turning bags. Also do you think Tandy would carry any of these patterns?
Mate, I love the look of this bag and I'm totally gonna make one for the Mrs.
One thought though, is install those dee rings before you turn the bag, it'll save you a process and look neater than rivets.... but shit, you probably know a lot more about bags than me!
Lovely bit of work 👍
Thank you Tony!
This is cool! Going to make my wife something similar; maybe a bit bigger with removal strap. Got some nice brown pull up lying round that would look great!
Sounds like a fun project! Good luck!
The #makervloggery movement was started by you, your family content and your wonderful personality. However, it might just be me but it seems your much more reserved since Tandy. Bring back that oldschool Parker!
make new things like this bag great job buddy greetings from Turkey
I loveeee your work!! What size is bag? I want to try it doing it! :D
Hey Parker. Great video. Bag looks awesome. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. I'm pretty sure soon you will reach 100K subs and more.
Keep posting such experiments videos and btw you can remove or reduce music from the part where you work with materials, because natural sound of stiching, sewing, cutting and working with leather are awesome sounds. Thanks again. Keep on going. ^_^
how did you line up the straps so perfectly when gluing them together? I usually cut the straps a little bigger glue them together and then trim the down to the size I want so the ends match up perfectly.
Nice work! Question: do you work with a preferred skiver? And any recommendations of good places to get one relatively inexpensively? thanks!
항상 잘보고 있습니다. ㅎ
Thank you!
Thank YOU!
very nice thank you
Awesome video!!
φαίνεται πολύ δυσκολο
Love the video Parker, as always! quick question, where do you get the templates? Do you make them?
Really cool. Out of interest, how common is it to use glue like that? I hadn't realised glue went into bags at all till now.
what stamp press do you use? do you wish you had one that has the foil roll thing on it?
Love your videos; you´re a true inspiration.
I was jobless and because of some of your vids I start leatherworking; now starting my own brand.
Truely I thank God, live and youtube, that put you channel on my pc screen.
Blessings
Thank you is a lovely bag...
Thank YOU Hedda!
Great work my man. Tell me, what program do you use in making your patterns?
Hi Parker, nice video. The embossing machine, does it actually stamp into the surface like your logo stamp or does it just gold leaf transfer to the surface of the leather without stamping into the surface. I hope you understand my question!
Thanks again for another great video. A quick question, if you have time: what is that machine at 4:16? Is it flexible enough that it can be used for any text or design or does it emboss the same thing everytime?
My husband bought me a Singer Patcher 29K leather machine a couple years ago, but I don't have allot of tools yet, what can you use instead of the fancy tool you have to thin out the thickness of the leather when you are sewing two layers together like you did on the sides and when you turned over the seam to sew in the zipper? I had to replace the belt for the treadle but the machine is a dream to work with, I've even used it for heavy canvas roofer nail pouches, vinyl and heavy weight denims.
Hey ! Just wanted to know if you answered that’s guys question about what to do if you are starting to make templates and starting to design things for a line? Would love to hear your feedback as I am in the same position
What type of glue do you use? and what do you recommend for finishing the edges? new to leather creating just got my weaver machine. Thanks for your time and lessons
Good video.
You mentioned a longer zipper, that would work so much better to over lap each side making the inside of the bag more accessible. love your videos.
Nice video
How did you do the logo? Bag looks great. Looks high end and quality
Nice bag, do you all ever plan on making this template available ?
Very good muy friend
Thank you:)
ماشاء الله تسلم ايدك نفسى اتعلم واعمل مشروع الشنط عايزة اعرف اسماء الأدوات المستخدمة وهل فى نفس الأدوات دى ف مصر؟
Another great video Parker. I’m just starting out with zippers. Can you tell me how wide the zipper is including tape, and how far from the edge of the zipper tape do you sew the folded over leather? Keep it up David
I am also new to zippers...as far as i can tell, the tape width on zippers varies. There are also different sizes for the teeth making them smaller and the sizes are numerical...like #4, #6, #8, #10..and so on. the larger the number the bigger the teeth.
You should put these prototypes on ebay and have people bid for them. I think you would make a killing. Put the link in the description (if that's allowed).
Awesome
Thanks Muhammad!
What is the tools you are using at the beginning of the video to brush the leather?
After two years, I think that bell sliver needs a new home, My home, for instance! 🥰
Not sure how often you read the comments on old posts... but is there anyway you would remember what size thread you used on the straps of this bag? It looked really thin! I’m having so major trouble finding any decent information on this machine! Wondering how thin of thread you can go on it?!?
Well, you have the holster and satchel, how about a full length leather duster? Keep up the good work.
How long u been doing this pal, my brother and I want to get into the leather craft art and you and your family is just about the same as ours, how was the start up for yall
Very good job, nice but kinda of slim
What is a good affordable sewing machine to use for making leather bags
We Indian Leather Bag Artisans
More vlogs please! :)
Was wondering if you could explain more details doing your procedure without machines ??
I will never forgive you for not burnishing the straps. You hear me? Never!
PS. Awesome vid.
haha thanks:) Most chrome tan/oil tan leather can't be burnished like veggie tan can. I could've painted the edges but i like it like this. Different strokes for different folks;)
Very cute bag.
Do you remember what leather you used in this build? Love the colors.
Thank you! This was a black oil tan hide from Tandy
Great job.
I was wondering where do you buy your thread for your Juki..?
Thank you.
The Thread Exchange.
Hey man what camera do you use?
Hi, do you think you can help me fix the handles of a simple tote? they need to be change they are two slim handles.
Hey Parker, how did you and your wife think up the name stock & barrel Co??
Would love to have one of them hosters you made for a 45,but I am to big for one of them now beings I am 60yrs old.
Would love to have a tote bag.
