If Haney never went for the knock out and boxed beautifully for 12 rounds they would have called him boring. The 10th round is something to hate on so that’s what they chose. He outboxed and out landed linares for 10 rounds, landed 100 more punches than him at the end of the fight, if the only thing you can focus on is devin being buzzed you’re a hater. It was literally a split second moment with like 2 seconds left in the round. And that’s what everybody is focused on. He absolutely dominated this fight up until that point. And after that, he did not exactly what a champion does to pull out the win. This was a solid A- performance from Devin. And the minus isn’t because of “the shot”. The minus is because he was takin shots he never should’ve gotten hit with throughout the fight. Not keeping his right hand up when he went in for the stab jabs to the body and Linares capitalized with a few left hooks. But other than that, it was an absolute clinic by Haney. Great fight. He’ll learn from it and will only continue to get better 📈
