Handicapping a Dominant Early Runner

One of the best handicapping angles to cash in on is a dominant early runner with multiple earlies in the race. On paper, the race looks like a speed duel that will set up the off-the-pace runners.
Not so fast.
When we handicap the race, the picture becomes clear that there is one dominant early horse. This is a strong angle because we can confidently eliminate the other early-running horses, and then see if any of the off-the-pace contenders can win against the projected pace.
This exact scenario was a quick one to see in a race at Keeneland, and it produced a 5-1 winner.
