We were made to swim across Loch Ness in school, I hated it! I don’t hate smoking pipes!
Did you ever worry about the monster as a kid or was that just nonsense to locals?
@@samuellefischer9596 well to kids monsters are very real!! And as adults ….. I hate to burst everyone’s bubble …. Big big sturgeons and bigger eels
@@Carsonktm420 Thats what I always happened to believe as well, some of those sturgeons are massive
@@samuellefischer9596 there’s pictures on the web of 400 pound plus sturgeons being caught in the 30’s ! Another fun fact, it was the only fresh water loch in Britain to have a lighthouse, it pointed one way, down the loch .
Hello Wilson. Thank you for sharing your review on this blend. Sounds interesting to me. Blessings to you and your family 🙏.
Merry monk is excellent. Very potent flavour and took a bit getting used to but very nice smoke. Just picked up another tin and a tin of their other blend Kings Fool.
Never tried it myself! Sounds very appealing thanks for the review Wilson!
Thank you for the review. You always do such a thorough job and I appreciate you sharing your expertise and opinions!
Great review on this one! I have a tin of Loch Ness just sitting there staring at me - haven’t gotten into it yet though. After having recently finished my English experience - only smoked English blends from January through March, I can appreciate and relate to your recommendations of light vs heavy blends - very helpful! Cheers!
Thanks for that amazing review and comparisons. Might have to check it out. Of the 20 or so blends ive tried so far. GL Pease maltese falcon is my favorite. So gonna try chelsea morning and quiet nights too.
Great review sir. I just got a tin of Loch Ness a couple weeks ago. I think since you made it comparable to Chelsea Morning, I've decided to cellar ol' Nessie for a while. Maybe that'll help.👍
Good Evening Pastor 😊 Awesome Description👌🏽We have a houseblend with the same contents , only in a ribbon cut 👏🏼👏🏼 Appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the blend 👍🏼 Have great day & God bless you 🙏🏽 Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
As a pipe smoker and lecturer in theology I enjoy the combination of the reviews and trying to see what you have on the book shelf behind you. It reminded me today to get hold of Butner's Trinitarian Dogmatics. Also appreciated the review of Loch Ness. I have at least one Drucquer's Blend in the cellar but haven't cracked it open yet.
That title by Butner is one of my favorite books on Theology Proper. Certainly one I plan to return to annually
Greetings, you're happy as soon as you hear the opening music. You are doing a great job, it's a pleasure to watch your videos. I wonder if you should separate the tobacco tastings into two parts. Because of the fact that the flavor profile changes as you smoke and get closer to the bottom, it might be right to tell them as well. By the way, are you thinking of doing live.
Yo, I enjoy watching your videos! I've started pipesmoking just a while ago and I like to try out new blends to find me something new and interesting, so your reviews are really helpful. I was wondering how many pipes you smoke on average and if you could share your thoughts on some more beginner blends that you think are worth trying out. Your most recent video about those beginner blends was great, tho the only blend I've been able to find and test out so far was the early moring pipe. The others were simply and sadly not available at my store. Anyways looking forward to more of your lit videos xD
Im always like your reviews and other videos, thank you for everything what you are doing for the pipe user community. Every time i have a feeling for the fisrt couple of second, like Steve Amell make a pipe tobacco review :D
Thank you for the support! And hahaha, I've heard that a number of times
Inns of Court is one on my all time favorites. Not much of an English smoker these days.
Loved your review. Nessie is going on the list to be sure now. You got me at “buttery orientals” and “gl pease classic mustiness”.
At some level it sounds a bit like Country Squire Bowsers Castle L2. Lighter than that but that direction in terms of balance.
By the way the background music in this video is great. The mixing you did on this was really good.
Thanks!
I have Bowser's Castle sitting in my cellar. I'll have to compare it.
I’d buy this just for the name
That's pretty interesting. I opened my first tin immediately and found the blend very similar. Maybe some good age on it will really help tone it down and smooth it out (not that it's that strong per say).. thoughts? - just curious.
Meridian is the lunchtime smoke from Pease. Loch Ness is for afternoon tea and scones.
I'm not looking for any more latakia blends so I'll pass. But I do enjoy Inns of Court from that series, Blairgowrie was too much for me.
Nice vid. Are you still a fan of your Peterson lighter? I dont know if Ive seen you use it in your more recent videos. Maybe I have just missed it.
@@TheSpurgeonPiper I would definitely appreciate the update. I'm looking to upgrade my lighter. And have been trying to figure out what direction I want to go in.
Hey Wilson! Visiting Texas this week. Any way to get in touch to smoke a bowl together?
Great Review as always! I ended up liking this blend quite a bit. BTW, I wanted to remind you that Pipe Week is coming up. It is always the week after Father’s Day. This year that falls on June 16-22. This will be the 4th year in a row that we have pipe week with the awards show at the end. As you know, you have been one of the nominees on previous years. The main purpose is to put the Pipe Hobby back on the world map with yearly celebrations. It would help a lot if you show your support by mentioning it to your viewers for increased exposure and participation. Thanks for all you do for the community.
Thank you my friend! And I would be happy to shed light on Pipe Week. I'll set a reminder and be sure to address it a week before it arrives
@@TheSpurgeonPiperThat would be awesome! I see that you have settled in. Moving must be exhausting but you always figure out a nice set up for your books and office.
@@FlatCapPiper thank you! We're glad to be settled in again and hopefully for a long period of time.
