Some people don't hear the metaphors easily though, for sure. It's definitely about internal horror more than external. The monsters we can become vs what we see & acknowledge. The sound of it makes it feel like theres a predator to run from, right? The lyrics say you yourself are the predator and it terrifies you to the core. Because we all have monsters within us, things we are capable as humans, but are we human enough to move past our dark age? Or stay stuck.
