Wargaming Europe it has great armor and a great gun
It looks very sporty and I like its playstyle at the frontline

IS-7 has bad DPM, penetration and accuracy. Light tanks have bad DPM, penetration and accuracy.
IS-7 is fast, has low profile and decent gun handling. Light tanks are fast, have low profile and decent gun handling.

But there is one difference between heavy tank and light tank and it is if you are a light tank you will probably have armor made of paper, but is-7's armor is made out of STALINIUM.

Meanwhile, The IS-4 still has 30mm of armor on the top of its turret, lower alpha damage, more weakpoints, hardly 200mm of effective frontal armor, is 16km/h slower and now only has 100hp over the IS-7. Sigh...
They already stated what they're going to do to the IS-4. Look it up.

The Brainsmasher really , look at the engine roof is weak like the top turret roof. IM NOT SURE but they gonna make is4 dow to tier 9 and STI come to tier X

Joe Drinkwater You can be sure that if I were in WoT PC and I had my FV215b (183) in, I woukd shoot HESH on him without mercy. IS-7 already hard to kill? Devs buffed it? Use HESH and show to all the IS-7s players that we gonna hate them and be brutal with them. If this modification appear in Blitz I will play only with HESH and 1 AP.

Though WG shited on the tank's designers...
Officer Doofy well yeah, I find it to be more usefull than before, and since I have a very good crew I managed to improve the accuracy up to 0.33 (with vents and crew skills).
Sholva you cant compare real life with WoT if u want realism in a tank warfare game....head over to War thunder.
Here i am still waiting for the buff with my tiger 2 :)

For how much I don't like war gaming because of overpowered premium vehicles, the videos on the channel are actually entertaining. No videos from game producers ever keep my interest, but I actually like the vids on this channel.
Not to mention they are very informative, and amazingly edited.

WZ 111 5A is much better, I played IS-7 a few times after update and it doesnt feel any more better then it was. Why to play IS-7 when WZ is an improved IS-7

Shoot between the tracks, or slightly above, but not the flat or angled part above the tracks, and you'll be fine.

i'd have loved a dpm and gun handling buff or a pen buff over the mobility buff but i'm still grateful.
IS7 Needed a buff, and a good job has been done on it. PLEASE now please fix my obj 260! The mantle being 250mm is quite frankly ridiculous and gets penned all the time, and due to nature of the larger overmatch roof than the is4, forces you away from brawling. If the mantle was fixed, it would atleast give some reliable strength to the front of the turret of the obj260. Now that the is7s engine has been buffed to almost the same proportions, there isnt alot separating the tanks apart from the guns, and bad weakspots. The fact a lot of shells ricochet off the turret into the hull and penetrate is, along with the mantle, the two most frustrating points for me about the tank. I know the obj 260 is meant to be lighter in armor, but these weak spots just don't make sense.
I agree that it was excellent a small improvement but still being in the first line is very difficult to reach those small weak points to tiers X, and it is known that you can not wait for the perfect shot because they win the front ...

It was good few patches ago, now when alot of tanks got buffed it's MEH.
I mean it's so slow now when is7 goes like crazy.

I remember whn it was first introduced in 2010 or so. Man those were the days. It was anoying af the side armour was ridiculous, you could bounce off of that thing with the best of your shots and the only way to wreck it was to shoot its forehead and that wasn't much of a possibility from the ranges it engaged you. Ahh man this game is so nostalgic to me but i know i'd hate it if i'd go back. Toxic, pay to win, grind fest.

They already revealed plans to switch the IS4 to tier 9 and put the STI back at tier 10, while changing the STI a little. Maybe even the STI with two barrels.
The tank is actually ridiculously fast now

Now do this, but with the IS6 and Show how Amazing his Armor is AND the epic gun that comes with it.
(A full 5:32 Video of the IS6 getting penned by tier 7/8/9 tanks and not being able to shot Back since he only gets 175 AP pen/Amazing 217 Gold pen, even the other prems get 230/300 gold pen, and having problems specially with tanks like:IS3,Defender,Patriot,T32...well Almost all tier 8 heavys all tier 9 Heavys and some tier 8 meds "Improved T44,T54prot",power-creep Is always in games, but in a soviet tank, that's new.. )
I can still play well in the KV-5, which is regarded as the worst tier 8 premium, even against IS-3s and Patriots, though I do cry when I see Defenders and VK 100.01 Ps. If I can still do well in my KV-5, you can do well in the IS-6.
Don't cry about it, the IS-6 could use a few buffs but it's not weak by any measure.

The ST-I is a good tank, but the IS-4 after feels like a let down with a worse turret and less gun depression.

yea the turret top, auto bounce angle sadly, if ur facehugged with it your gun is too long and u cant hit properly there, while with the maus u can and its fun, but the best is playing jpz 100 with gold, its like, impenetrable is-7 turret for td huh? well, lets see if thats true->bang 1150 dmg+ammorack if u hit the place, that IS fun

hello, i'm in love with is-7 line from the start. i own IS now. long way to go i'm kinda new in this. i chose some vehicles i tough they are good at high tier. but can someone help me with best line for Tank Destroyed that moves his tower/arm is moving 360 ? i mean I have the JG tank destroyer but it's slow af... and want something with more mobility.
and btw, can someone tell me witch equipment is the best for is-7 line?

grile 15 always stay back and use speed for escaping
amx 30 b play like suport or sniper and use mobility to outsmart them
stb1 play like suport and you can take shoot and then murder them with your DPM also you can use turret armor but not too much
