I actually really like her hair I think Ashley has proven that she can pull off different hairstyles besides her character Hanna has grown and she has changed with the past of the years like all the girls
She can't look the same as season 1. People grow they change. Plus she was in grade 10 in season 1 now she is in grade 12. Than off to college. So they are trying to display that she is changing with her hair and clothes. Just because she has short hair doesn't mean she isn't a girly girly. She still is because of how she dresses and Aria dresses way different then Hannah. And like she said the black hair is because she is going though a dark phase in her life because Ali is back.
@kalei smalls emily doesn't look the same. Her hair may still be long but it's a diff color and both her and aria have filled out some. Hanna's change is more drastic because that's her way of dealing with it/expressing this change in her life right now.
the last episode she even said that she never knew who she was. It was Mona that was trying to make her look like Ali. But it was not Hannah's choice. And Aria doesn't look the same she change her hair to short for season 3. Now she has darker hair. And she dresses different from season 1. Emily also change her hair color. The only one that looks the same is Spencer because she always had that sophisticated look. Kalei smalls
You guys have to remember that Hanna was somewhat lost when Ali was around. She didnt really know who she was and was very insecure, but when Ali was gone she found herself and now that Ali is back she is lost again. I think all the other girls know who they are except for Hanna. PS: I think shorter hair on her is cute

Alison has long blonde hair, and Hanna doesn't want to resemble Ali, so she cut it and got black lowlights. Thank God the black extensions are fake....Imagine if Hanna's whole hair was dyed black? I would dye. At least she's still blonde....but yeah, I like it better blonde AND long.

First of all that's not even cool but luckily it isn't even true. That's in the BOOKS. They have stated numerous times that they aren't going by the books for obvious reasons( I.e people like you spoiling it for the rest) so therefore Alison is not -A.
