clagget was on a 9 win streak w/ 7 knockouts. wasnt even a close fight just a good fight against a guy whos clearly tough and showed great defense.
The problem with the fight was that once again Teofimo allowed room for judgement even when dominating in spectacular fashion. Claggett was missing all night he literally only landed 66 power punches out of 820 punches at an EXTREMELY inaccurate rate of 17%. Teofimo landed 47% of all his power punches that’s a total of 282 power punches landed people!!!!
Everything you're saying is basically true, but when Teo said he was going to "put on a show" people thought that he was going to get the stoppage. How many Teofimo Lopez fans lost money betting on the stoppage (especially early stoppage)? To his credit, though, Teo didn't outright say that he would get the stoppage the same way that Tank said he would stop Martin in the 8th (and as we all know Tank stopped Martin EXACTLY in the 8th). Now Tank's performance was a true performance for the fans.
Casuals and dummies don't realize how difficult a style clagget has. Teo probably could have set his power shots up better but the volume and tenacity of clagget was hard for any fighter to deal with.
A straightforward aggressive fighter....thats not a difficult or unusual style for a counter-puncher (Teos style)

Teo said Claggett wasn't a slouch that he was gonna come and fight and he did. He fought teo just like maidana fought mayweather jr. But teo adjusted and countered the guy pretty well. I think the performance was not 100 and teo got tagged too much and his face showed it. I don't know why teo looks much better with top competition like josh taylor and loma.

Teo does lack focus in the ring, I watched this fight waiting for Teo to knock this guy out that he was clearly stronger than.
