Forza Horizon 3 is a very okay-ish arcade racing game, absolutely not worth its price lol Real pros play Dirt Rally and dont crash on the first corner, we do it on the second corner
You could get away with it with AWD cars in the first 2 installments but everything else you had to tune to be able to compete. Gets boring driving the best cars in the game after a while so delving into complex tuning to make the cars as good if not better than the best cars in the game is quite satisfying.
@@botandrew1 In GT2 especially, problems with oversteer? Make it understeer just enough so it can take the corners without oversteering. Also, don't set the ride height too low or the car will bottom out.
@@botandrew1 Yeah. I tried for ages to make the Lotus Elise GT1 stable. I finally got the right setup and its cornering puts everything to shame. What it lacks in pure raw power (over 600 is still very good), it's handling more than makes up for it. I then applied similar setups to other cars and aside from the Escudo (the best car in the game), the TVR Speed 12 is probably the only thing that compares to it (I never got the FTO LM but from what I heard, it's insanely good). What it falls short in handling to the GT1 is made up for in sheer power. I also try to make Front Wheel Drive and heavy All Wheel Drive cars oversteer to counter the understeer.

Stopped playing all racing games other than trackmania to focus on my training for the next nascar pro series. Came back to play forza months later and smashing LB times with high consistency and little to no mistakes in my racing. What happened? I learned 2 things: A: I learned to force myself wide and use all the road available and judge the appropriate line to use for each corner B: I turned my brain off because I think too much, once I focused on what I know rather than unnecessary things, I simply got faster and more consistent. As a bonus I finally learned how to focus but using it literally trashes my mind and wears me out quickly. I can go extremely fast in bursts but if I keep pushing it (even though I loved doing endurance races of 3 hours or more in length which I've done for decades now) it will cost me dearly. From this I fully understood what people meant when they say you can only focus for a short amount of time before your peak starts to drop off harshly and it takes me hours to recover if I over use it :( Just some interesting things that I've noticed that have made me faster and trackmania doesn't really play like a lot of other racing games. There are many different racing styles in Trackmania and since I like consistency and sim racing I stuck with the nascar tracks. Developing my skills there then returning to actual sim/sim styled racing games (forza is not a sim, I know this but it's sim "styled." I much prefer iRacing but I'm too lazy to use my wheel most of the time so I just played forza but not anymore) was eye opening just how much improving elsewhere can improve your gaming in a similar field.
When I stopped playing racing video games for a long while, and then when I got my new Xbox after Christmas, I started to ride, mxgp, and nascar heat 5 again, I got better than the last time on my old console. So yeah, I am very happy about it.
For some reason, I actually got worse after not playing racing games for a few years. I remember beating NFS Most Wanted when I was 7 and now when playing through again, I’m stuck on Blacklist 3...
here’s what i do, call me weird if u want; if a car comes with a stick shift (such as a focus rs) then when i play a race or drive with that car, u use manny w/ clutch. if a car comes with an auto tranny or paddle shifters so something along those lines, i turn off clutch. i dunno it just adds a new fun to it
Burnout 1 was a game I didn't play for at least a year. I was good enough to pass the first 2 races, whereas when I was 4, I could barely complete a lap of the first track. Motorstorm was a good example. I payed more attention to racing than wrecking others. Crackdown on the xbox 360 is the defining role that personally proves this theory. I used to suck at the gunfights because I was always too cautious when mowing down gangsters. Now, I pay more focus and thanks to the levelling system, dispose of the criminals quicker. I also used to suck at the checkpoint races as I always got distracted by an event or landmark nearby. Tl:Dr I grown up and so have my abilities.
For a few years I haven't played the racing games in the arcade but before I was a noob at it and bump into everything but now not only that I don't bump into literally everything I can drift.😄🎉
DD dorsett maybe because the people the drivatars represent suck... Coming from a guy who has .5-1% leaderboard spots for a large portion of races in the horizon games and the older Motorsport games. Unbeatable drivatars were kind of easy upon FH3 release and have been beefed up since then. Now they can be pretty op
I will occasionally stop racing for a period of time thinking it will help get rid of some bad habits I could pick up from playing to much. I have the thrustmaster TX leather edition. It's not a bad wheel.
I stopped playing need for speed and gran turismo for about 6-7 years and when I recently came back them I was suddenly good at them. Now bear in mind I went from a 5th grader to a Senior in high school
I don't like weird builds because I'm a masochistic, I like it because I like experimentation. One thing I've found experimenting is that muscle cars are fantastic off road in forza horizon. Provided you add awd. They're higher than super cars ground clearance give them the edge in water over those cars. And their aerodynamic shape gives them a higher top speed than most SUVs. The better engine placement also puts them ahead of traditional rally cars.
i only use manual on rally and race sim games but need for speed i just go auto as its more of a fun game rather than serious. on grid autosport i turn everything off even the hud.
The weird spike-in-skill-after-not-playing happened to me with FH4. When I first picked up the game, I was so genuinely awful I couldn't play. I was outright incapable of doing what the game asked of me. I picked it up again a few months later, and boom. I was bad, but good enough to play and improve. Now I fit in to the upper-bad to lower-mediocre skill bracket. I don't use assists, for what that's worth.
Back when Forza 4 Xbox 360 was a new game, I took the Ford Pinto and basically modified it into a 5.0 pushrod V8 monster, basically a Pinto-Shaped race car just for laughs, I dubbed it Little Crazy Horse... The most popular club challenge we ran was called the Gutless Wonder Challenge, it was a race of “F” class vehicles, ideally limited to the automatic transmission option (as it comprises performance the most) on an UPHILL race up Fujimi Kaido section B (the twistiest, most technical part)
Panfilo Johnson I prefer to build cars I've seen in movies and try to drive comparable to the characters skill my self for example like a Toyota AE86 and drift that or an eg6 and do a mountain ish track with only one hand on the wheel
When i was a kid i played a couple racing games. Modnation, little big planet, trackmania, and a couple need for speeds and grid autosport. The only actual sim i tried as a kid was the original r factor but that was when my dad let me try the demo he had and i didnt know what i was doing. Flashforward like 10 years later. I have a lot more experience in video games (big chad energy, i know), but i also have a lot of experience driving now going to school everyday and living more on my own. So when i go back to play racing games again, my knowlege of cars in general is much improved as well as my ability to play a video game, so i actually understand that cars dont stop on a dime, what body roll is, gear changes, all that. Even if its an arcade racer like paradise city i can understand what the cars are doing and what influence i have over my own, as apposed to the younger me looking at it as only a video game and not getting why the car didnt go where i wanted
I played all my life racing games till Last 3 years, I bought a Logitech g27 and im having very much fun, but on keyboard im the Jesus of the racing games.
Fat ford42 same when I was like 9 I was playing grand turismo 5 and got in an f1 car put all the gears to acceleration and kept wondering why it only went 16 mph
Fat ford42 same When I was like 7, I was playing NASCAR 08 and found the "car setup" menu. I made 1st and 2nd really long and 3rd and 4th really short when I should have been doing more of the opposite.
I quit playing fpses for a little over a year, and when I started again I went from being good to being a god. It feels like I have autoaim or something, oftentimes I will kill several enemies before I consciously register someone is there. It feels like cheating because I don't feel like I've earned these skills. It sucks because I don't even particularly like fpses, I really like racing games, but I'm not that good at them.
I've made a supercar really build and won several times. It's so ridiculous but it actually looks pretty good. Somehow everything fell together so perfectly it just works
What I love doing in Forza is maxing out a car and then timing it so that it's underivable, like my drift Abarth that glitches into the ground and had a top speed of about 220 mph. Yeah. That sort of thing.
Yea, I dont do all these things, because currently, I dont play many racing games, but things that are in these games I play I do, so Im pro in them too. Nice video! ;)
I would include Nissan S Chassis cars but their value has shot through the roof. A hacked up, beaten to death S13 will go for as much as a Miata in good condition.
It wasnt really quitting a game but rather changing my controls from wheel to controller, when I got a new wheel I still had almost all my skill but was a bit rusty. Also the Hoonigan Ford Focus RS RX is probably the most fun car with controller
I began with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Need for Speed Underground, Midnight Club and Test Drive. A decade later, I switched to Gran Turismo and GRID.
when my dad bought me nfs u2 for ps2 when i was in 3rd grade, i just started in airport and never left the place, because i was afraid, i will get lost, later i requested dad to play with me, thats when i realised, there are tournaments, i can save it, can buy cars, and more, recently i started tuning my cars instead of just buying parts

From this I fully understood what people meant when they say you can only focus for a short amount of time before your peak starts to drop off harshly and it takes me hours to recover if I over use it :(
Just some interesting things that I've noticed that have made me faster and trackmania doesn't really play like a lot of other racing games.
Point 4- that’s why I love the crew so much, always finding new areas and driving roads. Shame the game had died like it did
In forza motorsport 4 i tuned and maxed a camaro to the point that it runs the mile at 213 miles per hour
noice 1
G.T. my bad i forgot that it went 228 mph. It beat a stock bugatti
time?
Red Toaster idk i only remember speed it been a while. Since i played
What kind of camaro and what year is it are the only important things that ask.
Best car from each country (USA, Germany, Australia)
mk3 supra, holden ute, and bmw e40
G.T. Mate bloody legend
I mean they should do a video on it

"Using keyboard"
Dude, i have beaten Need For Speed The Run on extreme difficulty using keyboard
G0D
Me too.
welp i deafeted the run on wii with extreme difficulty i am a noob
I've done the same thing in underground 2
When I stopped playing racing video games for a long while, and then when I got my new Xbox after Christmas, I started to ride, mxgp, and nascar heat 5 again, I got better than the last time on my old console. So yeah, I am very happy about it.

For some reason, I actually got worse after not playing racing games for a few years. I remember beating NFS Most Wanted when I was 7 and now when playing through again, I’m stuck on Blacklist 3...
here’s what i do, call me weird if u want;
if a car comes with a stick shift (such as a focus rs) then when i play a race or drive with that car, u use manny w/ clutch. if a car comes with an auto tranny or paddle shifters so something along those lines, i turn off clutch. i dunno it just adds a new fun to it
Burnout 1 was a game I didn't play for at least a year.
HᎯPPᎽ FLᎾᎯᏆINᎶ BUBBLEЅ Get a wheel and drift on... *_ASSETTO_*
I remember using a stock Porsche Cayman as a rally car in FH3 against "unbeatable" opponents. Who do you think won?
DD dorsett Let's not forget the physics, too.
that Honda civic 2 cars to your left.
I got better after a few months of watching initial d
Same lmao
I became a car enthusiast a year ago... Since than I know better how driving and cars themselves work so I magically, I became a racing game pro...
Chris 5112003 same to me
I went from roblox vehicle simulator to assetto corsa with a wheel and no assists + tuning knowledge real quick after watching initial D
I legit do feel better when I take a break for a month or so in racing
6. Use manual transmissiom
Transmission
i only use manual on rally and race sim games but need for speed i just go auto as its more of a fun game rather than serious. on grid autosport i turn everything off even the hud.
with keyboard.
Zan, I do that, manual w/ clutch on a keyboard. Masochism intensifies
Hi, I’m a Zonda R and my gender is Group B Rally car
I didn’t pass any one of those criteria and got offended at first, but then my brain reminded me how bad I actually was at racing games.
And I suck.
And still do:( Maybe i should start go karting instead
The weird spike-in-skill-after-not-playing happened to me with FH4. When I first picked up the game, I was so genuinely awful I couldn't play. I was outright incapable of doing what the game asked of me. I picked it up again a few months later, and boom. I was bad, but good enough to play and improve. Now I fit in to the upper-bad to lower-mediocre skill bracket. I don't use assists, for what that's worth.

Happened to me when I used to play NFS Most Wanted.
Edit:

But that's how I've been playing them all along.
Same
Do 5 signs you're an average racing game player...
you own a racing game play on normal and usually get 3rd to second
G.T. how the fuck can you get 2nd or 3rd when racing in NORMAL mode ?!
I hadn't played any racing games for like 5 years, but when I started to play one recently, I got more good at it!
5 things only racing game elitists say
I can already feel the Assetto Corsa fans breathing down my neck just reading this comment...XD
Dodge Dart is way overrated.
Vivek Anand no manual this game sucks 8===D
" you play arcade racing games on manual? i bet you feel like a big boy dontcha? "
i typed this with my middle fingers because it made me angry
i play Auto too, i just can't focus on my racing line and shift up or down at the same time
one of my habits is tune the car as much as I can make it seemed to one that I've seen in real life, also, try to drifting in every corner XD
I played all my life racing games till
Last 3 years, I bought a Logitech g27 and im having very much fun, but on keyboard im the Jesus of the racing games.
Right?! Keyboard is so much easier
When I was 5, I accedentaly made my gears super stort. Lol
Fat ford42 same when I was like 9 I was playing grand turismo 5 and got in an f1 car put all the gears to acceleration and kept wondering why it only went 16 mph
gt5s visual damage was cool
Fat ford42 same
When I was like 7, I was playing NASCAR 08 and found the "car setup" menu. I made 1st and 2nd really long and 3rd and 4th really short when I should have been doing more of the opposite.
Yeah! Me too, in lfs!
i used to drag the shit outta my gears, i always went for top speed
Upvote for Konosuba but everyone knows megumin is the best
Ikr
So i am not the only person offroading in a Lamborghini
TheGoldenL I do it in a Mini
@@kiinuyo Minis rally
950hp RWD 911 GT2 RS.
Yea, I dont do all these things, because currently, I dont play many racing games, but things that are in these games I play I do, so Im pro in them too. Nice video! ;)
I think being absent from racing games, or any game for a long time will allow you to take on new tactics and strategies when you return later.
you should do top 5 fastest fwd cars in the world.
drag civics
Focus ST , Scirocco , Daytona Turbo and Satria GTI
My Corsa
Mr. Zoidberg mY fOcKin CIiO iS tHE fAsTesT dlCkeD
Renault twingo 1999
Can you do top 10 starter sports cars?(IRL)
he did similar lists
L3ngnd27 Nissan gtr
Albert S. Then buy an r34 its 60k
'90-'00 Civic, Integra, Prelude, Tiburon, V6 Mustang, Miata, Mazda 3 hatch, Mazda 6, Celica (gen 5-7), WRX (gen 1 and 2).
How the hell am I so early?
well i guess you werent stallin for time
G.T. XD
G.T. LMFAO
G.T. Why did he like ur comment but not mine?
Because puns
Me who plays with an automatic because it's one less thing I have to keep track of: *._.*
when my dad bought me nfs u2 for ps2 when i was in 3rd grade, i just started in airport and never left the place, because i was afraid, i will get lost, later i requested dad to play with me, thats when i realised, there are tournaments, i can save it, can buy cars, and more, recently i started tuning my cars instead of just buying parts
bruh
you know your gonna have a good time when you join an online race and everyones drifting in AE86's and Ford Transits
