Sha is the perfect fit. I hope everyone recognizes that & leaves him be. In today's big dollar facility & nil world, recruiting for a small private will be brutal, but Sha has established an identity that fits this program. Smart, tough kids, undervalued by the big programs, with a chip, will be the life blood like it was under PJ. Sha will coach them up & teach them to be leaders. If it was up to me, this will remain his program until the day he wants to hang em up. Congratulations & good fortune going frwd, coach. Won't be easy, but you're the right man for us.
So proud of my alma mater. Shaheen and the guys hit a high we rarely see. I remember the NCAA finals in '89 and the overtime battle with Michigan. This one takes a lot of that sting away. Thanks for this terrific memory. Something I'll cherish as the years go on.
I remember as a HS senior in 95’ Sha coming here to play for Blaney. And watching him lead us and the Oregon game and the injury in the Temple game in 00’. And now this. Perfect fit. Perfect coach. Couldn’t be in better hands. Love this guy.
