My apartment has a smith machine and for bench atleast I’m about 10 pounds higher than free weight does that mean the smith machine barbell is 35 I can’t take it off to weigh it
You won't be able to measure a Smith Machine's weight, and Smith versus Free weights creates a different movement (there is more assistance with a Smith) so it really is apples to oranges. Focus on intensity and let's not worry about the weight number...this is the 'art' part of lifting. :)
How do you tell how much the barbell weighs without a trainer I can't get a serious answer on this do I have to get on the scale and weigh myself write the number down then get on the scale with the barbell
Great video. I like it. Would live to watch your progression journey over these years.
It's been a 40 year journey.....

Does this work? What would happen if I just laid the bar on the scale? Would it still be the same weight or less
yep. That's how I do it.
@@KarenMcCoyCoaching thanks
Mine say 14.6 lbs I’ll just round it up to 15 lbs
Always round to the lower one
wht if the barbell says 20 on the side?? is it 20kg in total or 20on each side
20kg total
In my world, if it says 20K or lbs, it's always per side.
