That ending is hilarious, no fanfare, no conclusion, just the equivalent of "sorry nothing".
It's incredible that I keep discovering games I never played even being more than 40 years old and played a lot of arcade games :)
I remember a few tricks in this game when i played it in a nearby srcade when i was young.
1. One of the missile options can act as a shield, blocking most enemy attacks.
2. In regards to number 1, you can position your missile turrets in a way that you can be invulnerable in most boss fights.
3. The most expensive missile option is strong enough to kill the final boss in a few hits, provided you manage to earn enough credits to buy those missiles.
4. The charged shot primary fire is very effective against bosses.
I recognize this game running on random resort arcade about 15 years ago.
Apparently the original arcade version is VERY rare nowadays

Some trivia about The House of the Dead - I heard something like blood color being altered by option on international releases, but us Korean arcade Hotd1 always had red as a default and fixed to that because of some obscure switch bug issue.

Yep. Semantically speaking, the video title is still correct: at the boss fights, he took no damage.
At the stage, he could continue as many times as he wanted.
Hold up, that “See you in Hell” line for the final boss was taken from Han Solo in Empire Strikes Back!
yeah I had hear that again and it cuts quickly off. The scene is Luke is out in the cold of Hoth and Han is out to get him on Tauntaun. and when told he'll freeze to death says "I'll see you in hell" and split second goes "heya" to start the animal moving. so yeah that seem to be it.

The first boss with the Robo tentacle was kind of disturbing in a good way…The final boss, however I’m all meh on it
I download just about every shoot em up i can find, but this one was slightly disappointing. It's just generic; nothing stands out about it. Not the planes, the music, the difficulty, the graphics, the bosses. It's just kind of "blah."
