This is my new Workstation Build. The Goal was to build a very fast video editing PC with no limits. I didnt had a set budget but looked for a configuration that was in balance. I wanted to have 16 cores, more then 64gb memory. 8TB SSD and a high end video card. The total cost of this build was around 4000 Euro.

The nvme sticker is thermally conductive, there is no need to remove it.

I'm jealous, my 2019 PC did cost new ~$400, even counting this year's replacement HDD. A Ryzen 3 2200G ($97); ASRock B450 HDV Rel 4.0 ($59.99); Xtech Black Case & Power Supply Combo (DOP 1800 or $36); The expensive parts were a 512GB nvme-SSD and 16GB DDR4 (3000MHz). I reused a 128GB sata-SSD and a 1TB HDD. The HDD died this years after 10 power-on years, so no complaints, I replaced it by a cheap 2 TB SMR HDD. The power supply is special, it has 600W and 6 plugs, 24-pin; 4 pin; 2 sata and 2 molex :)
Currently the PC runs Firefox (1 Tab); Conky; a Xubuntu 23.10 VBox VM for all my communication apps (4 apps are loaded at login; Evolution; Transmission; KDE-Connect; Facebook Messenger and Conky) and an Ubuntu 16.04 ESM VM for banking with the latest snaps for Firefox and LibreOffice, currently both are loaded. The Host is Ubuntu 23.10 running on and booting from OpenZFS 2.2.0. Free memory is 2GB from 16GB and it uses 4.6GB of dynamically sized memory cache (L1ARC) to store 6.6GB of stuff when uncompressed. For the HDD and sata SSD I use partitions in ZFS.
The HDD has 2 partitions. The first one (193MB/s) for VMs is supported by 2 sata-SSD caches; a 90GB read cache and 5 GB write cache, the second HDD partition (143MB/s) for data has a 30GB read cache and a 3GB write cache. Linux boot times from the nvme-SSD are between 6.5 secs (Xubuntu) and 12 seconds (Ubuntu). Linux boot time from the cached HDD are ~2 seconds longer for frequently used VMs, while for the others it will be between 17 and 27 seconds.
    For next year I plan a mid life upgrade to a Ryzen 5 5600G (a whopping 3x faster) and 32GB DDR4 (3200MHz).

    Beautiful build!
Removing the SSD sticker really will not make a difference, maybe 1-2C.
Just makes it harder to re-attach for warranty, etc.

I think the termal pads on top of the sticker also can make them unreadable.

Hey Victor, congratulations on your new PC :)
    1. If i may: You have a lot of IN-Flow from all the fans and lots of heat accumilating in the top; the CPU getting a lot of the Heat produced by the GPU as well; Your Mesh top should Suffice in allowing dissipation of Over-Pressure - you might want to add a Fan up top in the back if it is very hot in Summer. Overall this should be a very nice System.
    2. Since this serves as a quite good tutorial, i would like to add: the M.2 Slots aren't all connected to the CPU, so explaining to read the Block Diagram would serve people very well.

    Hoi,

Bah! Who needs RGB!!! Love how the gold accents on the parts go with wood on the case, so cool! Maybe some gaming benchmarks & show the temps too later please?

Not worth 4k. Its Also best to avoid corsair memory and all their products.
