hello from France Dereck ; the're two things not to forget about Mylène : 1- she write the lyrics of her songs (laurent boutonnat for music and arrangements) 2- she gives almost no interview and the few times she does , she doesn't confide ; in the other hand , she talks about herself in many of her songs : that's why she's so emotionnal and shed some tears sometimes ; thanks for your reactions .

Being in that crowd 20 years ago was (and still is) one of the most heavenly moments of my life... especially during this song.

To answer your question, this audio seems to be the live version a bit remastered. But during that tour she did sing it in concert exactly how it was recorded in studio. It was that high !! Sadly she doesn't anymore though.

It's a song that evokes the call for love and happiness but always with paradoxes that are specific to Mylène.
The video clip mixes extracts from the Mylenium Tour (1999) filmed at Bercy in Paris (on September 24,25,26 and 29,1999) and images of Mylène in a forest in the Oise department (60) shot in June 2000 shot by François Hanss.
Innamoramento is an Italian word meaning fall in love (old term "s'énamourer" in French), the act or feeling of falling in love, the lyrics referring to the essay "Le Choc Amoureux" (Love Shock) by Francesco Alberoni published in 1979.

Thanks for commenting on this song. It is one of my favorite Mylène songs. This song "wraps" my heart, I can listen to it on repeat all day. The lyrics, the music, the softness in the voice, the elegance of Mylène, there are all the ingredients that make me love this artist. For me, she is unique. I listen to other artists but none have an effect on me like Mylène. I do not know why.

You know what, Dereck? Mylène has released a certain number of live singles and official live music videos over the last 33 years, amongst which Innamoramento and quite a few others. To get the 80's over and done with for good this time, next time I suggest you react to ALLAN 1989 official live music video / live single (beautiful on every possible level) and PLUS GRANDIR (a 1989 re-release that was more successful than the original studio version as it was punchier, more energetic, simply better). 2 great songs you'd love, for sure! And from the 1999 Mylenium Tour, next I'd recommend DESSINE-MOI UN MOUTON ("Draw me a sheep", referencing The Little Prince tale) that was release as a live single / official live music video too.

Thanks for reviewing... But I think imo this version is not the right one to review. You should look into the studio version in which you get carried by the bass and the sense of space.
This tracks has a lot of precise digital instruments in the original. It's the same with Mylene's voice. She is not a great singer, but her tracks and voice are extremely well arranged. Put the Studio version in your playlist, not the live one. I'm disapointed, it's my my very top songs from her.
