Top ten great foods: 1. Fish: tuna and salmon 2. Yogurt, beware sugar 3. Brightly coloured veggies 4. Extra virgin olive oil 5. Green tea 6. Beans and lentils for fibre 7. Dark grean leafy veggies for magnesium 8. Coffee, preferably black but hydrate before and aftee a cup 9. Nuts and seeds for vit. B6, almonds, walnuts and pistachios but only handful 10. There is no need to hydrate when drinking coffee. Although caffeine is a mild diuretic the amount of water most use in their coffee is more than adequate to.counter this.
Unless your on a low histamine diet.
How am I just seeing this now? All great information, thanks, Alyssa! I just happen to have a chef's recipe for homemade salad dressing that's yummy and good for you too! I make one recipe, keep it in a jar with lid in the fridge, and use 2-3 teaspoons per salad!
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp any vinegar you like
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp water
Put lid on and shake! It's delicious and stays emulsified! My husband and I eat a big salad every day, so this recipe lasts a few days, then I make a fresh batch. No need to buy bottled dressings with long ingredient lists.
Thank you for saving my time. Her rocking was distracting.
@@kanjacat Thank you for this great dressing....
I’m a believer. I’ve done well at not eating inflammatory foods anymore. I’ve seen how much of a difference that’s made. Now I’m working at adding in anti inflammatory foods and am hopeful that will also make a difference. I’ve lost 120 lbs and kept most of it off for 7-8 years so I know I can make changes in my diet when I need to. I really appreciate the specificity of the information shared in this video.
Thank you for sharing this❤

Antinflammatory Diet, AVOID SUGAR, AVOID WHEAT, AVOID SODA, AVOID FRIED FOODS, AVOID MEAT
I will be adding these items to my diet.
I dont think our neolithic ancestors had yogurt or beans with their meat and fish. But probably had leaves and herbs to season their stews. But the women who did the grinding of grass seeds for flour had arthritis in their ankles. But very strong arms. 😅
Thanks a lot
Thank you for the list I appreciate it this is huge
Love your channel so informative.
Thank you, definitely trying this

Absolutely!!
Thank you for your anti inflammatory list. 😊
You are so welcome!
So a spinach salad with evoo, peppers, salmon, black beans, walnuts and some lime juice would be a great meal a few times a week. I had a curry chickpea soup the other day, delicious! Sauerkraut for probiotics. I haven't found any flavoured yogurt low in sugar so maybe a plain yogurt based veggie dip recipe would be good. Thank you for the inspiration!
Very beautiful smile and laugh is discussing very well done ✅❤
I'm so glad to had find you. You're a blessing 🙏
Thanks for the kind words!
Thankyou Alyssa. Your are god sent. Another thing we can incorporate as an anti inflammatory agent is grounding or earthing our bodies by walking or sitting barefoot on ground for atleast 30 mts a day.
Grounding is something I am not familiar with. I must look into this.
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
We need it thanks so much ❤
No problem!

Hi Alyssa,
Your advice on dealing with arthritis is so helpful. I have bone on bone arthritis. However, I have been doing your exercises and I have been seeing such great progress. I just want to say many, many thanks in educating persons with such conditions. I am very grateful. Keep up the good work.
Also blueberries strawberries pineapple are excellent for breakfast
Green tea brand do you suggest!

Had knee surgery 4 years ago and now other knee bone on bone but di not want to surgery again so found your site and started the exercises and food list and will let you know how it's helping. Love your energy. Thank you
Can’t wait to hear your progress!
I may have to do left hip replacement surgery. I already have had right hip total replacement surgery. I'd rather not have it despite the pain. How has your knee surgery been after four years?
So glad I found you! I will be adding more fruit and veggies. And doing you videos.
Great. Glad you found the channel!
Very good 👍🙏💕
Thank you very much
So thankful to have found you. I'm a traveler with osteoarthritis in fingers. I'm 49 and next move is to sail the world. I'm devastated after joining a bunch of fb groups and seeing awful stories. I'm not overweight, already exercise and eat ok. I'm willing to change my entire diet and exercise routine to keep this at bay. I'm in the UAE so hoping I can get your book here. Thank you. Can't wait to do your exercises and catch up on all u tube blogs. Peace ✌ ☮ 🕊
that is amazing Emma about your sailing. Unfortunately most information out there is negative and I'm glad you share the positive outlook! Yes you should be able to! Let me know how your journey goes!
Thank you for the tips on diet and reducing inflammation!
Welcome!
Thank you for giving advice to avoid knee replacement. Everything that makes life enjoyable requires movement.
Glad you are liking the videos!
I just got what I call Sudden Onset Arthritis last month. I am having blood tests and x-rays done by the doctor but haven't gotten all the results back.
He put me on Diclofenac, but in the past week it hasn't helped, and my gums started bleeding. (I take excellent care of my teeth and mouth). I've got a message into him.
You are very knowledgeable and likable. I've Subscribed.
Thank you for your efforts.
Hey is porridge ok to eat and non added sugar peanut butter? I use both of these on gym days.
I have terrible food allergies: to fish, nuts, and some dairy. I know fish would help but I just can't eat it. Bone broth is helping me. Coffee is a bit of an irritant for me. I've noticed if I have too much...like 3 cups or more...I get very bad pain and inflammation.
Thank you for freely giving this advice. There are some advertisements that last for an hour tagging you along till the last most vital food to eat.
You are so welcome!
Is organic sunflower classed as anti inflammatory and does organic de caff coffee have the same benefits ? Thx 🙏🏽 😊
Thank you Alyssa 😀, Very helpful information and I'm going to start brining in 5-6 of the recommended items into my Fridge and Pantry throughout this week.
Love it!
Dark leafy greens are high in oxalate which is a trigger for inflammation. A British GP did research on this and helped her fibromyalgia by limiting high oxalate foods.
I have a real dislike for coffee but I was wondering if decaffeinated green tea would still work for inflammation.
Otherwise I eat everything on the list just need to eat more servings.Thank you for the list,it is very useful 🙂 9:04
Im so thankful to have found you! Thank you for the positive outlook. I have arthritis in my knees and hands. You have given me hope to keep exercising.
I’m glad- motion is lotion!!
I truly feel the same way. She had encouraged me to exercise more.
I just bought a three tiered steamer I’m exited to have fish vegetables etc. I hope to learn to like salmon 😊
I enjoy Salmon!
I love cashews, walnuts, Brazil nuts, & pecans. I grind them up & sprinkle them on my salads because I can't eat them whole anymore. I don't have any upper teeth & dentures don't fit because I don't have enough bone for the dentures to cling to. I can't afford implants since my insurance won't pay for a whole row of teeth. I subscribed just now.
OMEGA 3 🐟 FISH, SALMON, TUNA at least 2 servings per week! Yogurt, Plain, NO SUGAR, Probiotics
I know yogurt is good for us but I was always told that dairy causes inflammation. Please clarify. Love this channel. Why you don’t have more subscribers I don’t understand. Your info is invaluable! Thank you 🙏
Eliminate sugar from your diet also helps with inflammation, processed foods etc.
I think that Alyssa is on the cusp of becoming a national treasure. The best presentation and tips I have found although many others are helpful Thanks, A.K.!
Wow, thank you! Make sure to share with all the people that can benefit.
@@arthritisadventure --- Your wish is my command. 🥸
These hopefully will help me. I used to eat all of them, but the last 5+ years I haven’t and my arthritis has definitely become worse. I look forward to all of your videos! Thank you for helping us 🥰
You’re welcome!
Thank you Alyssa I was a really good girl for several months eating many of the foods that you suggested. I have sort of gotten off track and I feel much more pain when moving. I need to get back to the good and healthy foods and away from the junk. I also need to put a focus on hydrating which I am not so good at.
If I stay away from the night shades, is my body missing something important as far as joint pain is concerned?
thank you I'm diagnosed with ddd I know arthritis too I'm change my diet because im have tiroides 4 yrs ago no gluten sugar and now no red meat no pork but I'm think it's good I'm feel better thank you for help us good bless you
You got this!
Hello...pls can u tell me of soy yogurt Is ok and normal probiotics Is the same? Thanku
I love these suggestions. I’ve been learning a lot about anti inflammatory foods but found it especially useful to also learn how much of it to try to incorporate into my diet. I lost 120 lbs. by counting calories, no special program, so I know I can make changes in my diet. It will be easy enough to use these suggestions and make some more changes that I’m hopeful will help me manage my osteoarthritis.
Supply list pls?
Hi Alyssa, thank you for your no nonsense approach. I have rheumatoid arthritis and would appreciate knowing if your guidance applies to that condition too. Many thanks.
You’re welcome!
I just found your channel today and I’m really excited to see all you have to offer. I was first diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis quite a while ago and after being on methotrexate for years found out that I didn’t have that at all. That in fact I have osteoarthritis. I don’t take any meds for that but I do take quite a few supplements. I’m excited to learn ways to lessen my pain and stiffness and also how to exercise and lose weight safely with my arthritis. 😊
Yay! I’m so glad you’re here!
What about purple leafy salads? Are those good for inflammation?
Thankyou so much for this!! I Just went to a Rheumatologist and I finally was diagnosed with Psoriatic arthritis that caused my grade 4 right hip osteoarthritis. For the first time at work I could walk pretty well after 2 years of tilting and limping. I'm on meds for 2 weeks, but am starting now on your list of foods.I prefer natural treatments, been doing your exercise too.. again thankyou!!
No problem! Glad you've been doing the exercises.
Actually I've reduced overall inflammation, and knee arthritis pain by following a very low carb diet. It has also allowed me put type2d in remission. Its not for everyone asit requires significant lifestyle mod but its saved quality of life.
So much good food info for calming inflammation. I need to eat more salmon and veges. Thanks for the motivation Dr. Alyssa!
You are so welcome!
this is really good advice but I take warfarin so green tea and spinach kale and broccoli so I have to be careful
yes, everyone is going to have their own tweaks to this!
Great information! Will try to get these foods in my diet!
Glad to hear it was helpful!
Do you have a video of foods to avoid? I was just diagnosed with arthritis in my right hand, knees, and hips. The right hand now is just killing me. My ring finger is so tight and painful when I bend it, if I didn’t know better, I would think I had injured it in some way. And I never had issues with that finger. I’m trying to best maneuver my way through this because it’s new to me. It honestly seems like it came on me suddenly. My hip is the other issue. My knees, I can seem to manage…I do follow several PT’s online for exercises. It helps. Thanks again.
Follow memo's tipes channel on youtube.. finger and hand excersise . It is excellent for you
Praise God I found you currently suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. A Pastor in my church gave me a diet and I go for just vegetables and eggs it is so hard i got hungry every now and then I stop having milkfish and tilapia and it helps decrease inflammation to my fingers. Will take down those and will do what you share. God bless you always 🙏
I have discovered I have a joint pain and sometimes itchy skin when I eat foods that contain gluten. Night shade veggies like white potatoes tomatoes green peppers and egg plants bother my joints. Thank you for all the good information you’ve provided in your video about anti inflammatory foods. 🙏🏽🖖🏽
Hi ... great advice but I want to know is wheat good or bad for arthritis
She told us wheat is no good.
As a vegan who can't have caffeine, there are only about 4 or 5 left. 😉 I do use the ones I'm able to eat/drink, except citrus, just because I don't like the ones we get here (as they don't grow here...and once you've had some fresh off a tree, you can never go back to out of area store bought). I do find that sugar causes a lot of inflammation, and I do have a sweet tooth ...so that is my biggest struggle.
Saw u on Pinterest! New sub!
Yay! Welcome! ❤️
I believe all these foods anti inflammatory also good for osteoporosis. I have both.
🙌🏼
Turmeric should be number 1 anti inflammatory medicine in its purest form. I didn’t hear you mention turmeric in your vegetables.
Thank you so much for all of your information. You are so very helpful. I am surprised about your encouragement to eat yogurt. I thought yogurt was inflammatory? Please comment when you can. I would love to eat yogurt with berries in the morning or a snack and always eat no sugar yogurt. Thank you.
Hi. Many thanks for this video, which is great. Im a vegetarian, so fish is a no-no. I do use flax seed oul, which is rich in omega 3. Is that a good substitute for fish. I do everything else. Keeping muscles strong is very important too. My experience over several years has demonstrated that to me many times over
You are so welcome!
I Love means like kidney beans and black beans, but way too many carbs. We need low carb solutions
Why isn't there a statement about dangers of mercury in Tuna? Fish oil, I take Nordic Naturals (3rd party tested) brand and the addition of Vitamin D3 helps with making it better assimilated. Also, some people are sensitive to peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes...nightshades. Your material is much appreciated, it's just that many people these days rely (unfortunately) online info. So, I feel it's important to give the cautions as well. Especially when targeting a population with serious health problems
My 7 years old son who is already suffered with cerebral atrophy is also having this RA from past 2 years but we didn't know about this before 6 months he dignosed with it. His both ankels, one wrist andone elbow is affected. He is taking injection for immediate stop inflemation😢 by this vedio Im hoopefull. Plz give me some suggestion and hope... Thank you❤
