This is how i imagined nid to be. Hectic yet fun. Also, the editing is quite nice. Good bg song choice, suits the video. Hope my studio goes well, i wanna be there so bad 😭

10 days to exam. I have really lost hope for qualifying it, i only get 40-50 in mock tests, i am using this video as motivation to study through the last ten days

Nice to see u in NID..my daughters gen cat rank is 192..the total seats for gen category after removing reservations is around 195..but she didn't get seat allotment in round 1..NID has not specified anywhere regarding their selection criteria.
My daughter got in NID madhya pradesh..but she refused to join as the college is in a very remote area.

So the trick is in the choice filling which no one explained in any video.
Out of 5 choices- vijaywada, Ahmedabad, madhyapradesh, Assam , kurukshetra was her choice.
1st selection she didn't get-; kurukshetra was gone
In the second selection she was allotted a seat in her second choice jorhat. We paid 30k for further rounds of councelling and requested to upgrade ..so she got her 3rd choice which was mp.
To upgrade further,her 2nd choice was Ahmedabad which was impossible to get for rank of 192..so out of 5 rounds the seats r allotted accordingly to students preference.
Students should think wisely and put their choices
My daughter is also appearing this time for nid exam....can u explain more clearly. ..I couldn't get it ...pls

Haha, assignments and sleepless nights are killing design students every day too. Design students in IIT even have double the amount of academic hours than engineers so not that much a heaven, but yeah engineering is one hard course I could never you guys are crazy smart

Didi I have one question. I am really good at water colours and pick up on traditional methods of drawing and painting easily but I don't know a single thing about digital art (except for some yt videos I've seen). The reason is simple : I really like the traditional way. So is it okay if I don't study digital art. Do they really need it there? I want to study at NID. Please help❤
It’s not a requirement at all. You can always explore the medium while studying there if you’d like! Embrace your strengths but don’t limit yourself 😋

Grateful if you could give some guidance from your experience...
It’s been the most daunting yet enriching journey! Student life is entirely different, in a good way. You get the space and resources to explore and discover your own creative identity. They look for authenticity, an eye for detail, and most importantly, empathy. As long as you’re passionate about your ideas and work, you’re covered.
Is there same syllabus for all students in first year? Like do they teach all courses like product animation fashion jewellery and etc. To all students?
The first year is foundational, following a common structure for all students, delving into different areas of practical and theoretical design. We essentially get to dip our toes in everything, refine our skills, and figure out what discipline we’ll eventually study further from the second year onwards.

How long have you been studying in nid? And is it really time consuming? Do you get enough time to work on you CZcams channels? Amazon video btw, i love it
I’m in my third year right now. The work life balance varies based on which year you’re in and what discipline you’re studying. The first year is generally hectic and the rest are subjective. It’s a lot of work all year round but if you really wanted to, you can make time for anything :)

Yes, you can go ahead with any stream :)
you can choose any stream to do b.des but you have to maintain your studies and your entrance exam and all otherwise it will get difficult for you to what to do and what not to.....atleast practice for whatever exam you want to apppear after 12th give 1 hour atleast do drawings your creativity make skectbook... and do ur studies make a perfect time table

No it's not that girls are more creative than boys or vice-versa, creativity differs person to person. she is a girl so she is hanging out with girls group, and I don't know if it's applicable for nid or not but there's something like reservation for girls

Hi, I apologise for the delay in response. You can absolutely attempt the NID exam as long as you’re within the age limit, as she’s mentioned. We have many students who’ve taken a drop, repeated, and who come from completely contrasting fields joining. A year of engineering if anything, will give you an additional edge in terms of practical skill and understanding. Don’t worry, you’ve got this
