- Hey guys! Today I am doing the third episode of dollar store makeovers! You guys really love this series, so I decided to continue on!
I decided to go shopping at the Dollar Store for a couple of items that I thought would be fun to paint on, customize and decorate to make them more of my style. I noticed shopping at the Dollar Tree, that there were so many cute things that had a lot of easy DIY potential. I wanted to do this to show that you don't need to spend a lot to have fun with art and customizing things. There are so many cheap and affordable items to be painted on! I hope I give you some fun ideas for easy dollar store flips!
This dollar store makeover includes all sea themed projects in order to raise awareness to the #teamseas project!

Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh 😂 ) and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 26 and like doing anything creative...and being snarky.....just a lil. I make a lot of decorating, painting and general art videos here. I'm obsessed with editing and adding lil bits to my videos, so if that's not your thing....oof you may hate this haha. I paint on squishies, thrift store finds, and other random things I pick up. I also love to draw, but don't expect anything too skilled, I'm not the best at that haha. I love how Moriah buys new sea shells even though she has so many she hasn’t painted yet.
It’s because it’s a one dollar painting challenge so she can only paint shells that are one dollar. The one she already has is from the beach so it doesn’t cost anything.

Hey, Moriah- those odd brown streaks you were having were most likely water that was stuck in the paintbrush leaking out while you were painting! I’ve had this issue myself with a lot of my brushes.

As someone who has watched all your vids, you didn’t like Gesso because you didn’t see the point. You knew people used it so you used it. the second item that Moriah painted was called an oil burner, it was used to perfume the room, the top was filled with water and a few drops of essential oil and heated using a candle underneath it.

I am so excited for team seas because so many animals are in danger of many types of pollution, even sound in the ocean causes so much harm. I'm overjoyed!! And Moriah Elizabeth doing this and trying to help is the greatest joy!
I’m sorry to say but I don’t think team seas is even gonna make a dent with the amount of plastic in the ocean so I wouldn’t get my hopes up about this. It’s nice but it’s kinda just a waste of time and money :/
@@general_laziness1996 Any effort to clean up the ocean is a valiant and worthy effort. The thought that it's a waste of time and money is a dangerous thought in and of itself because it leads to negligence and apathy. So what if this only leads to a small percentage of waste being cleaned from the ocean? It's still a percentage of waste no longer in the ocean. And there are MANY organizations and charities out there dedicated to cleaning the ocean: together, it adds up. So please don't call this a waste.

It’s not much but when I run out of paper in my notebooks/sketchbooks, I take the backings off and use them for poster boards, it actually works really well, especially the A3 covers💜

I actually really love the sea tray, especially with the sand and seashells hanging out in the side. And it's so perfect for the painted seashells! The now-jewelry-holder is fantastic too

That wax warmer is SCREAMING for a Georgie themed makeover. Like a character wearing a georgie outfit. Wax warmer as the oufit, and a squishy inside the little 'bracelet cave' that you can display or pop the little character out to squish.
