- “40 years on it feels like a miracle," Rudy Sarzo told MetalTalk. "But it happened at the right time. Sometimes you can find peace with God and the universe at your lowest points and that is probably the most important moment that the door opens up into a new era. You’ll never achieve complete happiness until you find complete peace.”
Guitarist Randy Rhoads died in a plane crash on 19 March 1982.
“About 90% of what I know about the music industry," Rudy says, "I learned on that tour with Ozzy and Randy too because he mentored me. Randy was there for a year and a half when I joined the band. Later on I was able to return the favour when Brad Gillis joined the band.”

Rudy the work you did with randy changed my life forever . The early blizzard shows were amazing but you and tommy did just as well and randy just kept getting better but you guys complimented him perfectly

I absolutely know Rudy Sarzo knows there’s more professionally shot footage of him and Randy out there that we never saw. Rudy’s not gonna saying anything for fear of being sued and I don’t blame him one bit. But it’s sad.. 😞 Thank you Sharon for wanting to keep Randy‘s memory and legacy alive through all the videos for us fans Who love Randy to enjoy.

I Wished interviewee's would just Ask Rudy about how he is doing. they always ask about Randy or ozzy which is fine. but dont make your whole show on someone else than the one Infront of you. you can tell Rudy is Hurting still from the loose of randy rhoads , Rudy is a Bad ass Bass player been watching him from the 1970 when he was in Blue Oyster cult and then when he was with randy in Quit Riot. Whitesnake the list just goes on. God bless you Rudy.
When is Sharon going to release the original video from The Ritz show in NYC, instead of these blurry versions that are out there?
Thanks for asking him about Speak of the devil. I was at the Ritz that night for the second show. They did one that afternoon. What an amazing show that I still sometimes can't believe it wasn't Randy up there but Brad definitely did an incredible job and just about stole the show. Ozzy's vocals were rerecorded in the studio cause of him being a mess at the show but to this day it's the best Ozz show I saw.
Brad did a good job, the unmixed version of the SOTD is online, I actually prefer Ozzy's unmixed vocals.

I was at Irvine for that show. And, only because I have seen it with my own 2 eyes! They had been video taping shows on the Diary tour from the first show in the US at the Cow palace to And beyond Chicago 82! I have 2 on tape, or I should say have been digitized. This kid I only knew through my girlfriend, his dad did audio for the 1982 tour and gave his kid,who everyone called stinky, about 20 soundboard recordings of the Diary tour and he said he after 12 VHS tapes of the shows 3 to 4 camera shots ,I ha e 2 shows ,pretty good quality they need to be worked on again! I know Rudy was out of the loop’on a lot of things in ozzy. But there are shows a’d when I asked Sharon about it she said that there is no money to make it worth it!

Randy brought Rudy in to the music biz .Randy is the best guitar player Ozzy has played with.Even Tony Iommi.

is not part of the industry so I really don't know what actually took place but from what I see and what I've heard other people say things were not always that great it was Ozzy and the band that was making it all happen not their producers or management it was the musicians that were getting in the fans in seats
